Good Morning Buddies,

I thought I'd start the thread this morning. We saw Bill Joel/Twyla Tharp's Musical "Moving Out" last night at our performing arts center. It was unbelievably energetic. Each dancer must have earned 50 APs. It was a bit loud for my aging ears, but had lots of songs that we were familiar with and few we were not. The Vietnam War was the theme. Unfortunately the visuals we are getting on the news these days are not far from the ones depicted in the play. It still is a feather in Appleton, Wi's cap that the play came here before Chicago, Minneapolis, etc. Our next play is Phantom.

DH and I are going to take our first bike ride since returning from FL. DH has been out once, but it was too cold for me that time. Then this afternoon we drive to and from Wausau (DH will drive there and the other guy will drive back). It's the wedding of DH's young associate. Adam (the groom) is the first associate that appears to be a keeper. DH would like to work less (he's 62), but hasn't felt comfortable leaving for any length of time. Maybe this time. My fingers are crossed.

Wendy - I think we are taking Hwy 47 to 29 to avoid the construction in your neck of the woods. How bad is it? We are going to Minneapolis next weekend and understand that there is major construction near the WI/MN border. (boy, I bet you easterners and westerners are excited to hear this).

Amy - I hope you and DH are still on cloud nine. I'll be interested in hearing how you stay OP while pregnant.

Dawna - Your house sounds wonderful. The only time we were in your neck of the woods was in 1967 when we thought we were moving to DC as DH had a job with the IRS legal team and we took a side trip to Cape Cod. We were golfing quite a bit in those years and it was so foggy when we were playing that we couldn't see our balls in the middle of the fairway. (I was a poor golfer then and I'm starting to play again (we live across from a golf course) and am no better than I was. I'm taking a couple of group lessons in a couple of weeks, so we'll see. What DH and I did last summer was to go out to play at about 4pm during the week. I'd play 6 holes, then go home and make dinner (we live on the 7th hole) and by the time DH finished 7, 8, & 9, dinner was almost ready.) I remember we stayed at a place called the Popanesset Inn. (sp) When we returned to Chicago after this trip, we learned that if DH took the job in DC, he would have a fast ticket to Vietnam...so he decided to teach school which was a deferment in those days. Sorry for rambling, but the play last night brought back lots of memories of that time in our lives.

I'd better go and do a bit of shopping before we go on our bike ride.

Have a great OP weekend. I'm going to try. By the way, did any of you get the handout at the WW meeting this week. I mentioned it earlier in the week, but there are pretty good coupons in it.

Hugs,
Sue

Morning Sue, graemlins/wave.gif

I guess we were posting at the same time yesterday. I would have posted to the weekend if I had of known it was there. I was in a hurry so I just congratulated Amy and ran off to work.

Thank you for calling Steve. I did send him a note in snail mail on Friday. Hopefully he will get it and check in with us.

Have a great Sunday buddies. :D
