Hi all!

I am a lapsed Lifetimer, by that I mean I made Lifetime then lost my motivation. I am 20 lb. over goal and it is so depressing. Every day I get on the wagon, journal my breakfast, sometimes have my lunch, remember to journal, sometimes not. By dinner I have forgotten the word journal existed! So I have no idea at 8 pm whether I have enough points to have so-and-so ......you figure it out! I know the way of lifestyle eating, I was on WW for 2 years and most of the time I have the will........maybe I have gotten lazy (there's no maybe about that.) I need to get back the fervor for the BCB way of life that I had in 2001/2002.......where do I start? I don't like this present buddy's body......my shorts don't fit from last year! Arrgghh! I want my OMOHOD mentality back......Please do not think I am whining; I just need some suggestions from those who are making their way back to goal or are maintaining at goal. I was there once (not long enough) and I WANT to be there again!

Good Afternoon,

I love your pictures. I'm a member of the Lifers (a retread, but am now at goal and working hard at keeping at goal. WW is a way of life for me and my DH, who has also returned to goal weight. ALthough we'd love you on our thread (Lifestyles...), you might like the thread "Getting Back to Goal...". Please feel free to read any posts that help you.

Again, you live in a beautiful place.

Sue

Oh Diana, Buddy, graemlins/wave.gif

There is no need to hang your head in shame. Many of us have been there done that and have had a lot of starts and restarts in out Lifetime years. I am on the Getting Back to Goal thread, and lurk and post on other threads to keep up to date on the program. I have been a Lifetime member for almost 12 years. I have had my share of ups and downs. I had children in there too, so now I am finally once and for all on my way back to goal. The road has not always been easy, but it is going well and it can for you too.

Journal, Journal, Journal, even if you have to make a necklace out of the tracker just to be reminded... Do it regardless of how many points you are having and I would bet that after a couple days, you will be right back on track. ;)

Drink lots of water. Use a straw as it just seems to go down better when I use one and ice too.

Exercise even 15 minutes to start and build up.

You need to work into this and you will be able to get back to goal. graemlins/thumbup.gif

Good Luck, I know you can do it!!!

Wendy

Hi, Diana...

Well, you can "putz-around" for a year (like I did), or you can just get-back-to-goal. Putzing is doing what you're doing: not quite journaling through the entire day, OR, the one we've ALL tried: journaling IN YOUR HEAD!!

They are the same thing. They are denial. They are lying to yourself. There's ONE way to journal: the RIGHT way. And you know how to do it (write every bite, lick, and taste). graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Put "health, WWs, BCB, yourself" on the FRONT BURNER. Do it like you did before, when you lost weight.

Read the Daily Journal on this forum. We only started 5 days ago, but it was a real eye-opener for me...! tongue.gif It made me realize how I had been trying to fool myself into believing I was really trying... ;)

There's no way around, only through.

There's no easy way (though it is simple~)

Join us! Dust off your journal and post it. I guess that it will be HIGHLY enlightening and helpful (you might even be shocked; I was!). graemlins/bcbsalute.gif graemlins/wave.gif

Diana, thank you for your post. I, too, am trying to get back to goal. It just slipped by so easily . . . I've been technically OP for months, but if I eat what WW says I can eat on maintenance, I gain. And that's what I've been doing. So, I've gone back to losing points again. And I'm going to come to BCB everyday. I thought I'd look on this board for support b/c the motivation is different at Maintenance than when I was originally losing. I have at least 10 pounds  to lose to get back to goal. That's more than half of what I had to lose when I joined WW. So, here's to all of us who are doing this again: HONK HONK HONK!!!

Hi Diana--
Thanks for your post... I have been AWOL for a few months and put on several pounds during my absence. I returned after the gentle reminder from you(e-mail) that I have been gone---and thanks to you I am working myself back to goal.. I couldn't believe that I had gone over goal AGAIN when I promised myself that it would not happen again... I need to realize that exercise and monitoring my weight is an on-going process and reaching goal is a milestone not a destination...

We need to keep motivated by supporting each other in this journey... Hope your day is OP.. Sharon

Sharon, you are most certainly welcome. And you are also most certainly RIGHT...... we do need to keep each other supported and motivated! OP all the way, buddy! The only way!
