Good morning, I've been up since 4:30, getting DH ready for his procedure today. He has to have clear liquid every 30 mins. for several hours, starting at 5 a.m.. Naturally, he is sleeping, and I just get him up every half hour.

Tracey: For the most part, DH's test today is routine. He did have one of the orange jello's last evening and didn't say much about it.

Well, that's about it for now. My brain isn't fully engaged yet, so I can't think of another darn thing to say~ sorry...

Hugs & hello's to all,
Dawna

Dawna, you are such a trooper graemlins/bcbsalute.gif Getting our little thread started even on your busy and stressful days is greatly appreciated. In a few short(well maybe not so short) hours dh's procedure will be all over. Hope all goes well and dh is feeling back to normal very soon, with you as tlc giver I'm sure he will be better in no time.

I didn't realize the prep on such a prodcedure was so long and restrictive. My Darling Sister has asked me to go with her for same procedure on Monday AM, routine procedure as well. Our mother died at age 50 from colon/uterus cancer so our Dr is trying to keep a close eye on our health. Sis is only 35 years old but is having a baseline test.

Now for some positive news smile.gif The sun is shining brightly here in Wisconsin and I hope to take a bike ride later on this morning. The temp may even reach 50 degrees graemlins/thumbup.gif . Good riding weather as long as the winds don't pick up to much.

By the way, I did horribly at bowling tournament last weekend! Had fun with our large group of friends tho. I'll be glad when bowling season is finally over - it tends to drag on and on.
It's almost time for horseshoe league graemlins/crazy.gif

Hope everybuddy is having a great week.
Take care, Sheryl

Good morning Dawna and Sheryl and all goal buddies! graemlins/wave.gif

Same time, same story, different day!! Busy again, but I wanted to pop in and tell you Dawna that I'll be thinking of your DH and praying for him today. Sheryl is right--you're a dear to start this thread for us each and every morning even when you've got more pressing issues to deal with. I know I take it for granted and I shouldn't so ---- THANK YOU!!!!!

Sheryl, I'll pray for your DS as well that her procedure and results go well on Monday. Sounds like you guys have a good doc. Sorry to hear that you lost your DM so young. I lost my dear, sweet daddy at a young age also due to cancer so I can relate to your loss. smile.gif

Well, I'm off again to hit the paperwork! Take care buddies and make it a great day! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif graemlins/kiss.gif

Hi again, I'm just sitting here waiting to go. After getting up close to 4 this morning, I just couldn't go to work, so I slept for a few hours instead.

Hey! I love our little group here, and you're stuck with me until no one wants to join me anymore. I look forward to "chatting" with my buddies here every day. It will be nice when Steve & Sue join back in.

Sheryl: graemlins/wave.gif I hope everything goes well for your DS on Monday. Yes, the preparation is very, very, long. I feel like we have been getting ready for this for days. Part of the problem is that DH's test isn't until 12:30 in the afternoon. I think it would have been much better, & shorter, if he could have gone lst. thing in the a.m. What time is your sister's procedure?

Tracey: Thank you for your prayers. You are a dear buddy~ graemlins/kiss.gif

Well, we still have over an hour before we leave, but when DH comes downstairs from his shower, I am going to turn the computer over to him to help keep his mind off everything.

So, once again, I'll say...

Hugs & hello's to all,
Dawna

Hi buddies! I'm dropping by a little late today...so much to do and so little time! DS and I went to the mall (Beaver Valley, Tracey!) and then met DH for lunch. He flew out this evening but the good news is that he's coming home tomorrow afternoon!

DS is going to bed early tonight since he got up at 5:00am and has barely napped today.

Dawna, I feel for DH not being able to eat for so long. When I had DS, I wasn't allowed to eat for 36 hours. I hadn't eaten dinner that night and then I was in labor for 22 hours and they wouldn't let me eat while I was in labor except for 2 orange popsicles. After I had DS I ate pretty heartily!

Sheryl, my bowling gives a whole new definition to "terrible" bowling. DH and I went bowling on Valentine's Day and my best game was 77. odear.gif I had a blast though.

Tracey, I'm already sick of this rainy weather -- and can you believe we had snow today?? Did anyone tell Mother Nature that it's April for pete's sake?? ;)

I miss all of our vacationing buddies...Kathy, Steve, Sue. And everyone else who has been scarce lately. Hopefully everyone is doing well. Have a great evening everyone!

Dear Buddies,

It is 6:30pm and I'm at my parents house in Florida (6 months here and 6 months in the Chicago area). This is the first time that I have been able to connect and post.

Dawna - I have been thinking about you and DH for the past few days. My folks are doing great for their ages, but they are getting quite old. I'll be happy when DH comes tomorrow, eventhough he has had a stressful few weeks (Tax attorneys do this time of the year). The weather is wonderful and I have been walking quite a bit. My mom is walking more than a mile with me (after I walk about 3 miles early morning).

To the rest of you buddies, have a great weekend. I'll try to connect either Monday or Tuesday, but I can't promise.

Hugs,

Sue

Morning, from the BCB buddy that hasn't been around!

Sorry I've been so scarce, but baseball is in full swing around here and our family schedule is crazy. I think I'm nuts to let my kids play when there are some nights we won't get home until 9:30 pm (on a school night!).

I did drag both the boys in for haircuts, and you woulda thought that their head was being cut off. Usually, I let them have free-reign with their style, but if I can't see their eyes then I put my foot down. Oh well, I always wanted girls!

I've been upping my fruit and low-cal bread intake. Seems like I've hit a plateau on weight loss, and I've been ravenous every night. So, the last two days I've been eating dinner at 3:30 (yikes!) because I've been hungry, and I lost a pound. Part of the problem is my work schedule - my body doesn't know if it's time to eat or sleep!

I promise to catch up on personals and give everyone an individual greeting soon. But by reading today's post it sounds like Dawna needs lots of hugss.

Love to all of ya!
