I've been working out with the Firm videos for six months now (BSS1) and totally love them! I've recently purchased one of the new videos from BSS2 (Complete Aerobics & Weight Training) and still really enjoy this one. As a gift, I just received the Winsor Pilates videos, tried them out and also really enjoy these. I find them to be two totally different workouts...the Firm videos challenging all of my muscles as well as my cardio for the entire workout. Pilates, I find, is a more relaxing, yet still quite challenging workout that is targetting my abs and butt (the two areas that require the most work ;) )

Anyway, my question is, what is the best combination of videos to maximize results? I have the time to typically work out 4-5 times per week, 60-90 minutes each time. Should I combine a Firm workout with the 20 minute Pilates and alternate days with the Accelerated Pilates??

Thanks in advance for your advice buddies!

Do you find that Pilates is a little hard on the neck? I was looking for a good one too. I used to do Tae-bo and found it work good but I never could make it up to the advanced tape. Let me know if you find a good one!

Hi:

I take aerobics classes at my workplace and the instructor I have reccommends a 3 cardio/2 pilates or sculpting mix per week.

For neck pain while doing pilates, make sure you are looking up at the ceiling, not using your neck muscles to pull yourself up. Another trick is (especially while doing abs)to put your fist between your chin and chest. It shooulf fit in their easily, if not you are using your neck too much.

hopes this helps!

Thanks for the responses buddies!

I have been alternating days with the accelerated (50 minute) pilates video and a Firm Cardio video. On days when I am short on time, I use the 20 minutes Pilates video, then the next day, go back on schedule.

I can definitely feel it in my neck, but it's getting a lot easier. I will for sure try the fist trick to see if I am using it too much.

Thanks for the help buddies!
