View Full Version : Numbness While Doing Cardio

Morning all! Just wanted to pass on some info that I found in this month's "Fitness" magazine. Anytime I am doing my cardio (usually elliptic), I find that after a little while my toes and parts of my feet go numb. From what I understand it's lactic acid building up. Anyway, "Fitness" recommends crosstrainers from Reebok (Vector IXT II) to help this. Apparently the way they've constructed the midsole and outsole help alleviate pressure under the foot. Just wanted to share in case someone else is bothered by this also. It makes me crazy!!

I found that I too had like a burning pain in my toes and balls of my feet (usually after the 30 min mark).
I switched to a crosstrainer by Ryka (they're designed for a woman's foot) and tie my shoes a bit looser and so far so good!
I've had my elliptical for a year and a half and love it!
Hope you find a good pair of shoes that are comfy for you!
