Hi all! graemlins/wave.gif Haven't been on the boards in awhile. Finally decided to quit lurking and then my computer died! Anyway, hope everyone is well. I wanted to get some opinions on the AP I THINK I'm earning and see if you agree. I've been working out six days a week for one hour a day split into 40 minutes of weights (machines) and 20 minutes of elliptic (keeping my "speed" between 60-65). When I'm lifting I'm not sweating, but I can definitely feel my muscles warming, so I've attributed 1 point. After the elliptic, I'm sweaty and can talk, but having to take breaths in the middle of a sentence, so I've attributed 2 points for this (the machine claims I've burned 200 calories). I really struggle with the grayness of this area and REALLY appreciate any insight you guys can offer. Thanks Buddies!!!!

Are you still losing weight?
I think that's the best test of all. At first I counted my Curves workouts as 3 points, then upped them to 4 when I checked out this BCB Thread
Activity points calculations (http://www.healthdiscovery.net/cgi-bin/ubb-cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=19;t=003084#000006)
I continued to lose weight so I guess I wasn't 'cheating' by counting more points.
All you can do is figure it out for yourself. The sweating sign is a tough one because some people don't sweat and others, like me, do in the summer but in the winter I barely glow. But that makes sense since my workout room is around 62 degrees as opposed to 72 - 82 in the summer.
I think I'm a person who needs to eat more to lose weight so perhaps the extra activity point I gave myself (which I promptly ate!) helped me by encouraging me to eat more.

Hi Kathryn~ Thanks for your input. I have either been maintaining or losing extremely slow. I have another 5 lbs to WW Goal and another 10 lbs beyond that for my own personal goal, so I expected the slowdown. I just want to be sure I'm not being my own worse enemy by continuing to calculate something incorrectly. I printed the info from the link you gave me and think I'm going to break down and get a heart rate monitor and go from there.
Congrats on reaching your goal weight -- AWESOME!!! graemlins/thumbup.gif graemlins/bcbsalute.gif
Thanks again - Kellie

According to WW online, that 60 min workout would be 4 points for me (2 for 40 min wts & 2 for 20 min elliptical) but you're a little heavier than me so it might be more for you.

Moonbeams: Thanks for checking that for me. I thought I might be calculating that low, but figured adding in some flex points throughout the week, it would probably all even out. I'm beginning to think I'm not eating enough though. Just kinda freaks me out to think I should be eating more. I'm going to make an appointment with a nutritionist just to get some feedback. I've come too far to mess it up now!! Thanks again!
