Just wanted to let everyone who has a Big Lots near them know that they have Buns of Steel tapes for 50¢. These are "classic" workouts. I picked up Arms of Steel after reading some great reviews about it.

I got a couple of these videos. I've only seen the
abs and chest one so far. Great workout moves from
one thing to the next a little fast for me but I
think once done a few times will be able to keep up better. Moves are not hard just fast changing. tongue.gif

I will have to check the local Big Lots near me.
What state are you in ? Sometimes they all get different stuff.

Do these exercises require weights?

I just bought $3 worth -- got Buns of Steels, Arms, Thighs, Legs, Butt, etc -- the whole body experience! I haven't used these yet, but most of the older Buns of Steel videos did not use weights, or if they did they suggested alternatives like a can of beans, etc.
If you're just starting out with exercise you really don't need the weights. But when you're ready, if you have a Play It Again Sports nearby you can get weights for about $0.30 - $0.50 a pound.

Oh my gosh -- I'm from Southern California and I was so THRILLED when I found these tapes for 50 cents apiece that I bought 7 of them. (1 was a Susan Powder tape -- haven't looked at it yet.) Two of them are like express work-outs -- 3 15minute work-outs on each tape. You work out for 15 minutes, stop the tape and when your ready for your next work-out you just hit "Play". One is for arms and abs (I love it!) and the other one is for buns and thighs. The one for arms does suggest weights.--2, 3 or 5lb. weights. In the morning when I get up, if I don't exercise to Denise Austin on Lifetime TV, then I just pop in one tape for arms and abs -- do 15 minutes, then pop in the tape for buns and thighs -- and I've had a full 30 minute work out. This was the BEST BUY I have ever found, and I've been telling everybody! I bought mine a couple of weeks ago -- hope you can still find them.
