Just curious if anyone else here is following the Higher Protein eating guide that WW has (it is a sheet of paper).
Carbs are such a big part of my life & I seriously have major issues with them, so my Weigh-In person suggested this sheet to me.
Has helped lots, but am running out of ideas for protein. Looking for a few new ideas/suggestions.
I eat fish, chicken, yogurt, cheese (but doesn't fill me up like the other choices), lunch meat. My typical breakfast is Peanutbutter on whole grain toast. Lunch is a salad with FF italian dressing along with yogurt, sandwhich or tuna fish, dinner is well rounded with meat of sorts, veggie & milk. (Gone are the days of a big bowl of pasta.... graemlins/sobbing.gif . Just had issues with pasta)
Thanks for the suggestions & help.

Try some high protein breakfast foods.
My old leader actually ate a hardboiled egg and 2 slices of bacon for her breakfast. I like the turkey version of bacon cause it tastes as good I think and is lower in points. A lean breakfast ham can get you some protein. I also take 100% whole wheat slice (5 gm of protein in it, and make french toast with it using egg white). I put it in my george foreman grill and sprinkle it with splenda afterwards - 1 1/2 pts, or 3 pts for 2 slices. I also like to do 1/2 a bagel topped with low fat cream cheese and 2 oz smoked salmon, but I realize lots of people wouldn't like that like I do!
I have found to up the protein I have to cut back on the bread. So I sometimes do "open" face sandwiches, and can include more meat that way.
Have you tried the fat free cheddar before? It's very high in protein, and I think melts well in a baked potato - if you sort of close the potato back up and let its heat melt the cheese.
I've tried several new meats which help me up my protein. Buffolo steaks are absolutely fabulous, and leaner than turkey so very high in protein. There are also some beef jerkey "bites" that are 97% fat free and very high in protein. Awfully expensive though.
I hope those ideas help. I really struggle to eat enough protein. It helps my hypoglycemia, and also seems to reduce my binges as well. I am not a meat lover so it can be difficult for me.
Oh yes, the WW shakes have quite a bit of protein in them as well!

FYI not to butt in but Oscar Mayer Center Cut Bacon 2 slices for 1 point...much lower in points than turkey bacon and tastes better in my opinion. And per new research I'd recommend using 2% cheeses rather than the fat free. They state that the 'fats' in dairy products are needed to help with weight loss.

Hi Paula & thanks bunches.
The frech toast idea sounds awesome. I often make grilled ham & cheese sandwhiches on the Foreman. I eat 2% cheese (Kraft Singles) and find that it has enough calcium to "count" I often forget about soy products, too. I guess I am all about the Quick & easy way... Thanks for the reminder to get bacon (again). I like the pre-cooked microwave kind & found that it is 1 point/slice.
Anyways - thanks!
