Does anyone know about the Nusrsing program WW offers? How many more points do you add to your point range? Thanks!

My book says add 10. If your normal range is 20-25 Points per day then it would be 30-35. That's what it was when I was nursing ds. I would talk to your Dr. first to see what he/she says. I don't blame WW but I don't think that was enough points at the time.

Thank you! Do you think you needed to eat more? Did you lose weight even adding the 10 points?

Yes and yes! You need to eat more calories when you are nursing because it takes more to produce the milk. If you starve yourself, that will affect your milk supply. Also be sure to drink more water - nursing moms need more of that too.
I have lost 33 pounds since joining WW in February. My dd is 15 months old and still nurses 5 times/day - so I still eat the extra 10 points and have had no trouble losing weight.
Good luck and congrats on your wee one!!!

I joined the ww online when I was still nursing. I just answered no to that question so I could join. I already knew the nursing program from going to meetings.
