well not a confused chicken graemlins/ugh.gif graemlins/crazy.gif LOL I am confused about chicken :D

what do you all think?

on my ww online it has a fab recipe builder that you can put in your ingredients etc and servings and it will calculate the points.

wellllllll DH made like a steamed chicken with basmati rice and when i entered everything it said 1 serving was 18.5 points  I nearly died!! so i investigated further and used the online points guide to work them out myself and this is what i found.

half a medium chicken was 18.5 points!!! so now i am confused BECAUSE surely half a chicken is only the same as a chicken breast @ 3.5points a leg quarter @ 4points and a drumstick @1point that is only 8.5 points

what so chopping up half a chicken into 3 different pieces reduces the points by 10! LOL i dont get it

what is your opinion what do you think?

(hhmmmmmmmmmm i wonder is it the same for everything else there is 0 points in the chocolate cake if you cut it up :D )

The 18.5 points for half a chicken is probably with skin? The skin would add a lot of extra points?

Have great day, all of you!

I thought that at fist but the points include skin, chicken breast without skin is only 2.5

well i cheated i ate only the breast and counted it only as a chicken breast!

Lilly, I'm sure our points are the same. Down here 100g of chicken = 3 points and thats without skin. Which is a small chicken breast!

What the heck as long as you enjoyed it graemlins/crazy.gif

Just thought of something, maybe it has to do with the size of the bird? A breast is about 4-5 ounces raw right? but half a chicken 4lb chicken would be about 2lbs with the bones? so half a 10lb chicken would be 5lbs? :D Do you get 10lb chickens? I know my mom used to cook a 10lber or two for 7 people when we were growing up.
