*sigh*
Sorry -- I know you're looking for people who really are from Ireland, but does it count if all my ancestors came from there??

I gave my husband until our fifth anniversary to get me to Ireland. Hmmm... maybe if I told him I had a BCB buddy who really needed my support...you think??? ;)

Best wishes on your weight loss journey, and if you don't find any Irish takers, I'll be a good email support!

Hi everyone,
Thanks for replying. I was in shock, when I weighed in class at 242 pounds, so I've got to lose quite a lot. In the first 3 weeks I lost 7 pounds, but I was away in England for the last few days, so I don't expect too much this Thursday night. I've two weddings to attend in September, so I would love to have something new and be reasonably slim looking!!! Will let you know how I get on this week.

Way to go Yvonne! graemlins/thumbup.gif

I know what you're saying about being shocked when you found out your weight -- I topped out at 302!!!! When I saw that 2 turn into a 3, that's when I decided, "This has to stop!!" I'm 29, and want to start a family, but I will not take that risk on myself, or my child. I gained 70 pounds after I got married 3 years ago. I plan to lose 137 pounds -- then it will be time think about having a baby!

Anyway -- good luck, and keep us posted on how you're doing!

G'day Yvonne graemlins/wave.gif congrats on the loss to date, you and I started off the same weight :(

My ancestors are Irish, my BIL is Irish born and bred and my DH is English, but that's as close as I can get graemlins/crazy.gif

My dream one day is to visit Ireland, I love anything about Ireland, Celts and your history! And adore your accents :D Can't see it happening for a long time though, everything's so far from us down here, except Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

See ya round graemlins/wave.gif
