I knew that would get you Canadians! Just wondering how you all count you Tim's coffee, what your fave low point time's foods are, and how you're dealing with free donut/cookie/muffin season. For any of you who are unfortunate enough not to have a Tim Hortons, it's a very addictive coffee shop thats HUGE on the east coast. Gotta try it!

Well...since you asked :D !!!
I have been doing the medium 1/2 English Toffee Cap/1/2 black coffee, for 1.5 points. I have pretty much given up on the donuts...wayyyyyy too expensive for my budget. My fav was the Walnut Crunch, and that is like 9 points or something  . Watch the sandwiches...in their Nutritional Information brochure, they give seperate listings for the bread, and the filling (I found out the hard way graemlins/ugh.gif )

The owners of our local franchaise are good friends, and I often tease that I am singlely putting their kids thru college with the $$ that I spend there! Gotta love TH!!!

Hi:

Large Coffee with Milk is what I order, gave up cream and sugar ages ago, Tim's coffee is so good, I don't really need sugar or cream anyway!!

Now as for the RRRRRoll up the RRRRRRRim - yes it is sooo tempting to go for the freebees - I usually just get them for my son as a treat for his lunch - he is 12 and burns it off!!

My daughter has just begun her first job working for Tim's, so I guess the temptation is here to stay!!

Have a great day

my new years resolution was to only go to tim's on saturdays (i work in a call center and there's a tim's in the parking lot in our plaza)...i was spending way to much money and points there. so now i get my xl black coffee with 4 sweetners  (yes, i like it super sweet)....but since i'm down to one coffee a week from tim's (i usually bring tea to work the rest of the week)....i'm not getting my usual opportunity to try to win the bike! :(

luckily, i haven't won any of the freebie food items....but i'm itching for a bike (dh says since i just bought a new 2003 car, i should stop spending money for a while....he has a point!).... so i'm still just trying to get that bike!! :D

oh well, better luck next week!! smile.gif

Sorry, I'm not a "Tim's fan" - lol.

We have about 4 of them here and a training centre too.

I don't go there very often, too expensive points wise and too tempting. I always had my plan when I would go with friends to get a diet coke, but always found myself ordering Hot chocolate and sometimes a donut. I am avoiding it now as much as possible but sometimes I will get a cafe Mocha, I think a med is 3 points. If that is wrong Please someone let me know. Tim's showed me the nutritional info but that was a while ago and I am not 100% sure it was for a med that they showed me, I think it was but...

I was really wanting that bike too, DB goes all the time and I kept hoping he would win it for me. I told him if he won anything I had dibs on the bike. He has his own bike and rides all the time. I thought it would be good for going to school on this summer, I live 5 kms from Campus.

Hey Kim my daughter also works at Timmies part time (we call her a timbit) graemlins/crazy.gif
It's a habit daily on the way to work getting large coffee milk only!

It's one thing I can't (don't want to) give up!

Have a great day!

When I go to Tim's I get a black coffee and a box of Timbits. I can have two of them  (1 point each) and take the rest home for DH and maybe another for me too. Sometimes I get a "sour cream" donut and cut it in half, graemlins/ugh.gif saving the other half for later or DH who already ate a whole one.

Hey Page:

There should be a support group for mom's of the "Tim-bits" graemlins/crazy.gif (LOL) Actually, because I am short my kids have started calling me "Kim-bit".

Yeah, it is tempting, and there is no way that I could give up the coffee...especially with DD working there...so it is a large coffee with milk for me, for a treat...an XL coffee with milk!! :D

See ya at the drive thru

I always get a peppermint tea at Timmy's. Zero points smile.gif

I still have to get the nutrition info from them for a cruller. I know it is bad, I just want to know HOW bad. My sister just started working at the place where they make all of the foods and on cruller day, she came home feeling exceptionally greasy. No wonder crullers aren't listed on the nutrition chart. :(

It's "Send a kid to camp day" today at Timmies (June 11)
All proceeds from the coffee sold plus the staff donates their tips to the kids camp fund .. Great day to treat yourself to a coffee! ;)

Stormlady a small Iced Cappucino made with milk is only 3 points! You can find lots of things to have with low points at Tim's. I love Tim's and I think I'll name my next pet Tim :D

Just so you all know, Tim's happily gives out nutritional info pamphlets on request. Maybe someone should send one to Denise and she could put it on the restaraunts page?

You can download the nutritional info from their web site in a pdf file. One for Canada, one for US.

Crystalfire - If you happen to ever find out the points for a honey cruller, please, please please post them here and/or PM me... Honey crullers are my absolute FAVORITE Tim's treat and they are about the only food that I literally daydream about eating. I actually have visions of me eating a cruller, just tiny pieces at a time, you know, if each piece is small enough it's zero points, right? And if I space it out over enough time (like maybe a day), zero points times however many bites it takes is still zero points, right? Hahahaha... I am AWFUL!!! graemlins/bcbkick.gif graemlins/bcbkick.gif graemlins/bcbkick.gif But...since I am only daydreaming about it and NOT actually doing it (and wouldn't do it, unless I *knew* the points AND had budgeted for them), it's not that bad.

Oh, if only I just knew. I am guessing it's about 7-9pts per cruller. I could eat one, count it as 9, and be done with it (and also starve for the rest of the day for lack of points!). But I just cannot eat it if I don't know the points. So far I just stick with the low fat muffins (Raspberry and Blueberry) as they are between 4 and 5 points each. (Not so bad).

I also found Annie's idea of half cappucino and half coffee to be deeeeelicious, and I have one almost every day! Though I use the french vanilla cappucino since most stores around here are always out of the english toffee cappucino.

*drool*

OK I have to end this post, my mouth is watering and my belly is screaming for a cruller. I will have some water now, and tell belly to shut up, it obviously doesn't know what it's talking about anyhow.

Cheers graemlins/wave.gif

I just have to say this topic really cracked me up! It's like a separate support group for Tim's junkies! A drive-through just opened right near our house and I have to make a conscious effort not to stop for what had become my daily Iced Cap (before WW). I think I'm over the withdrawl now. DH keeps getting them (aaargh) but I am OK with just a few sips.

Oh My Gawd...

11.5 points!?!?!?!!?! Wait until I tell DH!!

(To think that a semi-regular breakfast of mine used to be an x-large triple triple and TWO crullers!!! EEEEEK!!!  )

(And on days that I didn't have coffee/crullers, I usually had french toast/bacon...not much better!)

*hangs head in shame*

I will probably NEVER have a cruller again! Just the thought of 34g of FAT in ONE piece of food is enough to make me gag. Thanks for calling and finding out!!

Cheers graemlins/wave.gif
