Question for Canada/Ont. buddies?

I am starting to do WATP. tape with Leslie Sansone. I would love to find some of those 2 lb. balls to use when I do the 2 mile tape.

Does anyone know where to find some here? I'm in Ontario, Canada.

I will do some more checking, but so far no luck.

OR

Do you have ideas as to what I could use as a substitute?

Hi Ashlee,

I use 2lb dumbbells that I bought at Fitness Depot. Almost every department store (Walmart, etc.) carries them and they are only about $2 each.

Thanks for the information, but they don't have them here in Walmart or the sports stores. No Fitness Depot here. Nothing costs $2 here in the fitness line - lol.

However, after my weigh in today I went downtown and though about getting maybe marbles,but rejected that idea. Dropped into the toy store downtown and found these great balls (plastic/rubber things). I know the girl who owns this store. She let me bring one home on approval. I weighed it and it's so close to 2 lbs. that you can't even tell. They are sort of med. hard plastic and seem to fit in my hand really well. I'm going back tomorrow and buy the one and get another one.

I too cannot find the balls, but I have been using 2 cans of Chunky Campbell Soup. They gave me a good work out!

Great idea too, but my hands have some "arthur..." lol in them and I can get a better grip on balls.
I phoned Sportchek to ask them, but they left me on hold so I didn't get an answer yet - smile.gif .
I may call them tomorrow and try again.
