Anybuddy from Windsor, Ontario?

I've been there a couple of times as I used to have an Aunt and Uncle living there.

I used to collect plates and would always go to that plate/Royal Doulton store downtown. What a wild place that was back "when". - lol

Ashlee, was the place Shanfield's or Mary's China Shop? I never went into them but they were quite the place to go many years ago.

Gayle, I have some friends and relatives in London and go there frequently. Maybe we could meet up sometime.

I don't remember the name of the place. I think it was quite a large, cluttered place and the same store had a discount china place next door. Lots of Royal Doulton around - big figerines on the floor, etc. too. They also had hundreds of books with silver patterns in too. Only the owner (a woman) ever handled the cash register and she had a lot of older women working for her. You had to be careful when you bought something because (and I had this woman both times I was there) this one woman would just charge you (or try to charge you) the same price as the plate next to the one you wanted - lol. She was going to charge me $70 for a $35 plate!!! They sure had a lot of variety of plates, etc. A lot of people used to come from Detroit to buy stuff there too.

I haven't been to Windsor in many years though.
