Hi all,

I'm new to this board. Just found it while I was looking for something to motivate me.

Any word of wisdom or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am a life member but have been strugling with 18 pounds that I really, really want to lose by the summer. Not that we have much of a summer in the UK, but still you know what I mean. I'm sure there will be a few days when I could get my legs out of trousers!!

Sharon xx

P.S. You all seem a friendly bunch.

Hey Sharon!

Welcome to the boards. Sorry I missed your post before this, but it's been a busy week and I was only spot checking areas I normally post in on the boards.

Congrats to you for being a lifetime member, and for recognizing now that you need to do soemthing. When I started back on the program in October, I knew I had to do something, because doing nothing wasn't a good alternative. I had lost a lot on WW but then stagnated and never got past halfway to my goal. I didn't learn from my experience and went back to some bad habits and gained it all back. I just wished I hadn't put up blinders at the time where I thought it wasn't that much and I could just go back on program anytime I wanted. Except it took me five years to get to that realization.

Even when I joined this past October, I still didn't have that motivation I thought I needed, but I rejoined anyhow. I needed to get back on track, and though it took a couple of months for me to really "get" that motivation, at least I was on the right track.

So jump back on the program and write down everything. I found that's what's helped me focus and do the program right.

Good luck, buddy!

Hi Sharon -

I rejoined recently too (also had regained some of my weight back). I've lost 6 so far (since early Jan) and have 20 more to go! I know I will get there - WW is a great program if you work it. I'd love to lose it by summer too -- but I know that it's going to come off in it's own sweet time (I usually average a lb a week). But I realize that this is not a quick fix -- I am going to KEEP it OFF this time for good !

Welcome back ! smile.gif
