Okay, I'll take a stab at another daily topic... hope y'all find this one useful.

Have you ever had a setback while on program? (Setback being any sort of hardship, or unusual occurance, or something like that) How did you handle it? If you didn't handle it as well as you could have, what is your plan to prevent it from happening again?

My answer coming soon!

My setback has happened this week... I am up 1 lb, despite being 100%OP and exercising. So far, my way of handling it is to stay OP 100%, drink my water, and exercise... basically keep on doing what I am doing but treat this as just some sort of freaky blip of the scale.

In the past, I would have used this excuse to eat OffP or give up.

There's really no way to prevent those freaky blips on the scale, but what I can control is my reaction to it. (Don't get me wrong, it does bum me out, but I am not going to give up!)

I'm sure other buddies have experiences to share that are more helpful...

I have not yet experienced any set backs. That doesn't mean that I won't.

I do agree that how we react is important.

We can choose how we are going to react to any problem or situation that we may be faced with.

We should make a plan of how we are going to handle the bumps that may come on this journey.

Planning and rehearsing in our mind what we will do when faced with situations.
The box of dounuts being pasted around the office. Having to eat lunch out unplanned.
The dinner part or family cookout. Thanksgiving dinner. A scale that doesn't move down for weeks.

In the end our goal will be reached. Each day OP will be rewarded. Every minute spent exercising is devloping a trimmer and healthier body.

Never give up.

A Big sorry. I didn't mean for this to post so many time  having some comp. problems

These Daily topics are great guys !!! graemlins/thumbup.gif

The set back I have had once was a personal tragedy/loss and I dealt with my grief and loss through eating.

I have learnt now though what ever stress/grief I encounter will not be overcome by punishing my body with food and over eating. It can only be handled by working through the issue by dealing with it.
Food does not make it go away.
