I noticed in the last few weeks that noone besides Martha, replies to the Water Works post.
Water is extremely important in weight loss as I'm sure all of you know.
It helps you keep full and hydrated. It keeps your skin looking great!

This challenge is very simple and I know you all can do this.

The challenge is to drink 64 oz of plain water every day.

Yes.... I know decaf drinks and certain other things count, but in this challenge it is water only (if you add a slice of lemon or lime, that is fine) and no other drinks.

Lets see if we can get our 64 oz in June!

I am on about 48 ounces:) I personally make myself gulp down 32 ounces of water first thing, before I have my morning cup of coffee. This may sound ridiculous, but every little bit helps, and I crave my coffee so bad in the morning, that I will get those 32 ounces down in seconds flat:)..lol

I'm a coffee drinker too and if I tell myself I have to drink water in order to have that coffee I might do just as well. I usually drink 64oz. but sometimes i get off track. I'm going to try the 32 oz. before coffee. What a great idea. Just got up today so I am starting with that 32 smile.gif

I teach and have very limited potty breaks and a very small bladder. Does anyone have recommendations on how I can fit water in without gulping it all down right before bed...makes for an unpleasant night.

KTeacher:
Try a little at a time and do most of your water after 3pm but before bed. Maybe take a large cup (like the one they sell at the WW meetings) and fill it up for your ride home. That way you get some water in, and it's way before bedtime.

kteacher-
I know when I first started drinking water, that I was going to the bathroom all of the time. Maybe you should start your water intake in the evenings, but eventually your body will catch up to you, and you won't have to go every 15 minutes:) At least that is what happened to me.

andorya-
glad to give you an idea! That is why I love these boards, they all full of great ways to handle every situation!!

I found that the only time I am constantly running to the bathroom is if I drink too quickly so that the body doesn't get to absorb it. I keep flavored sparkling water at my desk at work and drink "slowly" all day long. Then I continue as I am eating dinner and snacks at night so I get more than enough in for the day.

Lisa - some (like myself) may not respond to "Water Works" because water is already a part of our daily lives and we don't keep track anymore. I never worry about how many ounces I get in. My body will tell me with chapped lips or dark urine if I was under one day or I am PMSing and need more. Don't be discouraged by a smaller group joining in the post.

Michele,

That is a very good point! Thanks for bringing that up!
