So to all of us out there struggling to make our goal weight, I was wondering what you guys have been doing to help take off those last few pounds.
As much as I hate to admit it, I absolutley despise exercising. I know everyone says you just have to find what you like and go with it, but it just doesn't work with me. Now that doesn't mean I don't do it, because I am at the gym at least 3 times a week, if not more, I just struggle to get there everyday. The way I look at it is I hate being overweight more that I hate exercising. And that keeps me going.
Some things I have been doing latley is drinking more water. I didn't think this was possible, I have been really good about my water since the get go, but I have came to realize that there is always a chance to throw more in there.

I also have been bike riding with my 8 year old. It seems to have helped us both, I get a workout, and she gets to burn off some of that endless energy she has:)

So what little things have you been doing?

I've always felt that way about exercising. Hate it. It's never grown on me, I've never found an "activity" that I like to do on a regular basis that would constitue exercise.

Some things I'm doing are:

Buddying up. I have someone that I e-mail my menu to just about EVERY day. This person gives me NO slack and tells me like it is. (Isn't that what BCB is all about? graemlins/bcbsalute.gif )

I go for walks with my DH. We used to go for a walk with a pop or even a beer, lol... but I've designated our walk time as nonacoholic and no calories. Water, diet pepsi or Crystal light only.

The third thing I started doing was joining challenges. I'm doing a "crunch" challenge, which is really fun. I'm actually amazed that I can do 250 in one day! Granted, I break them down in spurts of 20-40, but it does add up.

I'm looking forward to landscaping and my flower garden this year. If anyone has ever had to dig up flower beds, in clay no less, you know it's a work out!

Well, for me, I didn't do much with exercise until this spring. I figured that that was my card I kept in my back pocket for when I got this close. The only exercise I had been doing was water aerobics once a week and once in a while some weight lifting. This spring I took up a challenge to start working out 5 times a week. I decided to try the elliptical trainer. I have never liked the treadmill or the exercise bike. I couldn't do much on the elliptical at first, but I slowly worked my way up. I now go 5-6 times a week just for that, and do 40-50 minutes at a shot. I feel really good when I do.

The other "back pocket" item I have is that when I get a couple pounds from goal, my point target is going to drop again. I'm hoping that will give me the boost to get there.
