I'm a slow loser. Perhaps it's my relatively low start weight. The closer you're to your normal weight, the slower you will lose. I'm on WP since Mar. 11. One pound loss every week.

I know exactly how you feel! My personal goal is to weigh 135. However, I'm pretty tall (5'8"), so I may have to be content at 140ish. It's a pretty slow process for me too, but hey, as long as it happens, right!? smile.gif

Buddy, you're doing great! 140ish is very Skinny for a 5'8 height. Keep on track. I calculated the calories of all the weekly points. We are eating 1300 calories everyday on the plan. In my case I need 1880 calories to function everyday. WP cuts back my calorie intake by 4060 calories. That means, if we truely stick to the plan, no matter what, we will be losing 1-2 pounds every week.

Hang in there.

I've adjusted my goal weight upward a bit, too. I'm 5'7 1/2". I used consider 125  to be my ideal weight but I have to admit that's *really* skinny & I doubt it I'll ever see that weight again. I'm not so sure I'd even look good at that weight anymore.

My original WW goal was 140 (& I was really thinking 135), but now I've changed it to 145 for 2 reasons.

1. At my current weight of 149 I'm already looking pretty good. smile.gif
2. If I lose much more I'll have to buy all new clothes & I can't afford to do that. tongue.gif

That's so true. I'm wearing size 8 top and size 10 pant. After excercising for 2 months at Curves and dieting for 1 month, my friend told me my clothes look baggy on me. But I just can not afford to have all new size 6 clothes. So I adjust my goal to 125-130lb, ideally 125lb, then I still have some room for weight fluctuation.

Now I'm more worried about how to keep the weight off after I reach my goal in May.

I haven't really bought any new clothes in a while because I'm always on "when I lose the weight"..... smile.gif Now, I KNOW that I WILL lose it.. hopefully by my birthday (June 21st) and I'll go on a shopping spree! I can't wait!

I've learned the hard way not to go crazy buying new clothes until you're at your goal weight. I bought new clothes after Christmas and spent a great deal of money on them, and now it's a few months later and nothing fits.

My solution is second-hand stores. I have started shopping at Goodwill and Salvation Army and have learned that you can find some really good buys in both stores.

You can get several pairs of jeans and several shirts for $20, and then bring them back to Goodwill after you've lost more weight.

Waiting until I've reached goal to buy clothes won't work for me because I only wanted to lose 15# & I'm not planning to replace my wardrobe *at all*! I have tons of beautiful clothes & if I lost another 10 pounds I'd have to replace everything. I have a few things that need to be altered, but most of my clothes actually fit better after losing a few pounds because they were a little tight.

I lose super-slow too--a little over 1/2 lb/week. But, I am going to the gym, usually 3 times per week, so my body is slimmer, but I am building muscle and losing fat.

I have a great solution to the clothing dilemma--have a trade with someone! One of my coworkers is doing the Atkins diet, and has gone out of her size 10 pants and 12 blouses, and has passed many on to me. Now I am psyched, because I love the way she dresses, and now I have nice clothes for free. The downside, she's 5-8, I am barely 5-3 (my doctor says I am only 5-1 1/2, but I don't beleive her!). SO, I have a ton of hemming to do.

As far as tops go-I thought that when I lost weight, I would need to go down a size. Nope--I am still bigger up top. Oh well.

I think that some of you really need to reevaluate what you are calling "slow". According to WW guideline 1/2-2 pounds a week is normal. It's not slow, it's normal. My goodness girls, give yourselves more credit, you all are doing fabulously! :D
