Hi everyone. I wanted to post because I just got back from vacation last week. Right before I left, I hit goal. Don't applaud me me. I sported my new bikini one the beach in Nassau, all proud of myself. I was at the all inclusive resort called Sandals, Royal Bahamian. Premium alcohol, 8 restaurants (2 fine dining, 1 timpani, 1 english pub, 1 Italian, 2 lite fare). Now, I ate alot of fruit and vegetables, but I didn't count 1 pt all week because I really had no idea. I enjoyed my Pina Coladas, Black Russians, Bailey's and Cappucino, and Sea Breezes. The lite beer and Wine selections were not my fav and it wasn't easy coming across bottled water (tap was not too great). There was a workout facility and lots of activities that I took part in, I even became certified to Scuba dive. Now, the bad news. While I am tan, well rested, etc, I gained 3 lbs. My husband only gained 1.5 lb. He ate worse than I did. I have been OP since I got home, and expect to get back on the straight and narrow from here on in, but boy!!! those all inclusive resorts can really get you.
Just thought I'd share. I just ate a big navel orange and a 3 pt breakfast sandwich with a big glass of water. I have now been behaving for 10 days. I weigh in again this Friday, while my tan has faded and I am peeling, I hope to be shedding (weight) too.

The inclusive vacation curse. I did that in Mexican as well as on my honeymoon cruise and each time I brought back 5 ponds more than I left with (and I'm not talking about souvenirs). Jump back on OP and go from there!

I am going on vacation in August... all inclusive resort in Jamaica. My personal goal is to shed the weight by then and not worry too much about points when I'm there. Don't get me wrong, I'll still try to stay OP as much as possible, but even if I gain a few pounds, I know I can lose them again in a few weeks! smile.gif

the important point is that you're getting back on the wagon and not letting your gain turn into something a lot larger.
i'm not an advocate of "taking breaks" from point counting, but this is your lifestyle, and if you take a week off to indulge once in a great while and then you get right back OP, i say good for you!
and congrats on looking awesome in your bikini! :D

Jainie,
You play you pay. Your back on track and that's that.
On the other hand... How did you like Sandals in the Bahamas??
Me and DH just went there last year and we had the time of our lives! I totally fell in love with the place.
Were not big partiers, so the quieter nightlife suited us just fine.
We didn't scuba, but we did snorkle quite a few times. I swam right up to a nurse shark and was pointing it out to my DH before I realized exactly what I was doing and hightailed it the other direction
Did you go anywhere off the resort? We did the "Dolphin Encounter" which was absolutely unbelievable!
We also did a little gambling at Crystal Palace and even won a few bucks! :D
