Hello just need some opinions here I started for the first time July 3rd 2002 and lost 30 plus pounds w/o meetings etc just the winning points books anywho I got kinda cocky and things went south from there. Only gained a little less then 1/2 back. Last November I decided to join meetings and am currently 4 lbs down. My question is I don't know if it's me or psychological but I'm having a hard time adjusting to flex. Has anyone been successful going back to winning points? If so, How did you go about it? etc TIA

I too am back doing the winning points.. I tried the flex points, and I just seem to not be able to do it, I always go over on points.. I guess not enough disapline..I know winning points work, so thats what I am doing.. I can control it more than flex points.. good luck..

Same here! I do much better with planning and journaling on winning points. I am recommitting today to get these last few pounds off. These have been the hardest of the whole journey!!!!

Your right on the point amount.

I use a combination of both programs. I stick to the winning points all week, and use my flex points on one day during the weekend which is okay too. Using flex pts during the week was to confusing for me. I to need a strict regime. :D

I also work out at the gym, but don't spend my AP's, so I'll definitley know it's ok to use my flex pts for that one day. I drink a HUGE amount of water, and zero pt snacks so I don't get hungry during the week. smile.gif

Mbee, when you say that you stick to winning points all week and then use the flex points on the weekend, do you mean that you eat w/in your winning points range or stay at your flex points target?

I do what you do, I think...I still keep a "bank" to make sure that I'm not eating too many points, but I eat 18-23 points daily (no APs) and I eat my flex points and aps on Saturday. It adds up to about the same amount both ways and my mindset is much better. I lose so much better with one "free" day.

Yep, I do the very same as you with the AP's and Flex. Sorry if I didn't explain it that well.

I don't lose very much if I use FP through out the week. :(

I switched from winning points 6/26/03 - 9/6/03 to Flex Pts 9/03 - present. I am doing very well with flex points. It has made it easier for me to socialize and eat out with flex pts. I am currently about 2 lbs away from WW Goal and 6 lbs away from personal goal (BMI=24). I started out a Size 14 and am currently a loose Size 8, I have lost 20 lbs. I exercise 3-5 times a week and use all of my flex pts usually. I also eat all of my AP pts every day. Last week I lost 1.4 lbs. I have had a few gains along the way with back problems and holidays, but nothing that didn't disappear in the next couple of weeks. Flex points really work.

I think it really doesn't matter which program you stick too, as long as you stick to it.

With Winning Points, I lost 47 pounds. That was about 4 years ago. I, too, gained about 1/2 back, but on flex I'm about 10 away from goal and it's working great.

The programs are so similar. On WP my point range was 22-25, now it's 22. Divide the 35 flex by 7 and you come up with 5... with puts my range very close to what it was before if I chose to do it that way.

I love the freedom the Flex points give me to enjoy the occasion "splurge" without actually splurging. I'm using my points, so I'm not cheating or going OP.
