Looks like not many people have few to lose...

hehe...i wish i only had a few to lose. I have about 20-30 to lose. My goal is 20 right now, then I will bump it up to another 10 when I get to that first goal and see how I look. How much do you have to lose?

Was glad to see that there is someone out there!! I was getting discouraged with this board!

I am a returning "lapsed" lifer who got to 10# above GW. I have lost 4.5 lbs of the 10, so, 5.5 more to go. Though truthfully, I would like to lose about 8 or 9 more lbs. so I have room to play with.

I also appreciated your other post about how the weight stays stubbornly on sometimes. It is frustrating seeing all these people reporting 2 lb. weight losses each week. Like you, I have gone back to the gym too, so I will see if that helps! I start a pilates class this week as well.

Anyways, just wanted to say, I appreciated knowing there is someone else out there w/ "few to lose". We all need the support. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Thanks again and keep the posts coming...

Amy, I'm in the same boat--gained after reaching lifetime and was 7 pounds over goal. I'm now 3.5 over but would like to lose 10# b/c I feel better at a lower weight. Plus, I'm trying to get to a reasonable weight for my DD's wedding in 7 weeks. I'm a very slow loser so the 3.5 will probably be all I see by then.

I'll be back to check in here just to help keep this board up and running! graemlins/thumbup.gif

Right here with everyone! Well for me I was ALMOST at my goal on another weight loss program and I stalled for over 2 mths and I got impatient, tried a FEW other plans and ended up gaining 1/2 my weight back that I had originally lost! graemlins/sobbing.gif Since then only one plan worked but it left me almost starving!! I couldn't take it so here I am! I would like to lost at least 20 lbs - but MOSTLY I want to lose about 3 sizes. I would be thrilled if I lost inches, that's more important to me, as well as getting my body toned up! I am working out now, I have a home gym - one of those resistance types and sofar it's great. I also go on the exercise bike. It's frustrating to know I was ALMOST there and then it was gone! So I am determined to get it back off!!! graemlins/thumbup.gif

I have a few to lose. I was hoping some peopl who come out of the woodwork. I started with 20# to lose. I have so much respect for everyone who has lose so much more than that. They are my true inspiration.

With few to lose, it gets hard to stay focused. I think you have more diet sbotuers. People say - oh, you look fine. you dont need to lose any (more) weight. you have to ignore that type of energy. just remind yourself, that only YOU know your true potential and you will acheive your goal.

Jen - I totally agree with you...nothing bugs me more than people commenting that "I'm FINE!" and that I don't need to lose any weight! Well what about me! I am NOT fine with myself, I want to lose the fat on my body and tone it up too!!! So I am determined to do it!!

Well as I see it, maybe we might get together here. The last three posts are 2004. I came here because thought lots of people would be here, what is up with that? Some of the posts are a year old. Well I will give it a shot here.
I have almost gotten to goal, but have this yo-yo at this point. My new goal weight is now 145 and today got up weighed in at 153 again. Was 150 earlier this week and just having this swing going on and is getting to me. I still don't go to meetings so this flex points are new to me. I have decided to stop them as of this week, I think it is that I don't use them right. Well anyway hope we can work together to get the last ones off.
My weekly schedule goes like this
Monday (somedays that is DH is home) aquacise, line dance class at night.
Tues. Yoga
Wed. aquacise, cross-trainer
Thur. Yoga, stationary bike, clogging
Fri. aquacise, cross-trainer, Yoga
Sat. housework
Sun. Church and laundry
Now in between all this I am senior director for the parks system in my town. I will be having a senior dinner this coming Wed when I have these programs I shop and cook for around 70 people. I only hope have help with serving and getting ready. Do this 5 months a year plus have the senior games which involves a week. I play golf weather premitting, and tennis, line dance and clog. Go to workshops to learn new dances. Wow now what do you do for exercise???? Dianne graemlins/wave.gif

Were you looking at the dates posted or the dates that everyone signed up to BCB? Anyway, sounds like you are one busy person! I don't do as much exercising, well I currently work-out 3-4 times per week at home. I go on my exercise bike and then work out on my gym. I work full time and have 3 kids, so they keep me quite busy!! I have recently just started WW so I'm hoping I can get the results that I am looking for! graemlins/wave.gif

I guess "a few" is relative. I have 20 more to go and to some that seems like "a few". To me, it seems like a LOT. Yesterday someone sat next to me at the meeting and asked "are you on lifetime"? I had to laugh. I think it's especially hard with less to lose -- you don't have all the initial big weight losses (like 4-5 lbs/week) to inspire you as those who have more to lose. Everyone has their challenges - no matter how much you have to lose! (My other challenge is sitting in the dark right now -- thank God for the battery on my computer! We're having a power outage here in San Francisco. UGH!) Sure hope it comes on soon!

cheryl - i hope you lights are back on ;)

Diana -- you sure are busy. i barely exercise at all at this point.

kimmie - i think alot of us are in the same boat. i feel like weight loss of any degree is a challenge.
i'm down 2.4 this week after yesterdays weigh in, im thrilled. but im far from ready to try on my "regular clothes" (clothes that i was wearing this time last year)

alot of people think i dont need to lose any weight and people say - oh man, i wish i had your body - but its my body and i know my potential. i was always petite and i come from a small family, both in weight and in height. thats how i know im holding too much weight on my bones.

i usually to fit between a 5 lb range all the time. when i got 10 lbs over the highest weight, then i know i had to do something.

plus i would like to think about having children next year and i wantto be in my best shape before i get pregnant :D

I would love to see more activity on this board, too. I'm having the hardest time getting my last 9 pounds off. Aaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!

Well, I must say I am excited to actually be able to post on the few to lose board. I am down a little over 40 lbs, and have been struggling recently to get these last few off. !!!
