I’ve not been at BCB for a long time, but it seems to me that this board is not very active. I bet there others there who just started the WW journey with “only” a few pounds to lose. Or may be you are a big looser and just need to get rid of those last and fighting few pounds. One way or the other, here we are. Who said what is few?
I have to confess that at first, I kind of thought that may be I don’t belong, cause I read of others that have a lot more to loose, and I was ashamed. But then it hit me:
The 13 pounds (6 kg) I have to loose are to ME very significant. I mean, I have to make my own WW journey and learn in the process how to loose weight in a healthy way, and then…well…let’s make it to goal and then worry how to maintain it!
I admire those “big losers”; really, I keep asking myself, how come I can be relatively close to my goal and not reach it. So I decided I will reach it! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif
Does someone feels like this? Have a similar situation?

Nat, I've been trying to lose those last 5 lbs for months now so I can relate.
I stared adding some exercise and varying my point consumption and as of this morning I'm officially at goal. graemlins/crazy.gif Now to stay that way until WI this week. ;)

I have 4lbs left to loose myself and I swear I want to kick them in the rump. I am eager for the next step.
I dont know what its like to start out with just a few to loose. I wonder whats harder. Dropping 10 extra lbs or trying to get rid of the LAST 10lbs?
hmmm

I used to post here all the time back in '01. I started w/15# to lose. There were quite a few in here but they have all since moved to the lifetime board or are offP. I dont really post her b/c I am kinda offP myself. But to answer your question I always figured 20# or less was FTL

My original goal was to lose 20 pounds and get down to 124. Now that I am there (about), I would like to lose 5-6 more. I swear that it is harder to lose when you don't have as much to lose because your clothes fit fine, people are always saying "you don't need to lose any weight" you are in fairly good shape, and the health problems are minimal. I think maybe the only thing that is driving me to lose the last 5-6 is vanity. It is just hard to stay motivated.

hey guys! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif
I also have a few to loose. Im at well.. around 60kg. I'll tell you on my Sunday weigh in day. I want also to loose about 7kg -- to get to 53kg.
REally excited about this.. frustrated but excited.
How about we all have a weigh in day for us here? Then we have an accountability goal to look forward to.
How about Sunday? I'll start on up on this few to loose board here.

I only have about 4 lbs to lose now after losing about 70 lbs but I lose it one day & find it the next. This has been going on foe way to long. Any ideas to gry rid of it?

Darinesto,
First let me congratulate you on the 70 lbs gone! Awesome! you should be proud of yourself! :D
Now, what is your current weight and height? So we can know if you have to loose those 4 lbs, maybe you reached already your goal and that's why you're loosing and gaining all the time. I;m not expert here, maybe you are in a plateu??
If that's not the case...try to vary your meals, shake those menues. How about excersice and water?
Are you bored of the programme, tired, are you doing your best?
Whatever you do, keep posting so we can know were you stand and how we can help!

My original goal was 130 lbs. I have reached 140 lbs and the weight loss has stopped. I have been here forever. I have tried it all. I really think I need to lower my carb intake. I personally think the last 10 are the hardest to get off. I have struggled for months but are determined to send them packing sooner than later.

I also felt that I might not be accepted or feel like I belong. I have about 15-20lbs. to lose at most. But like you, those 20lbs. will make a world of difference to ME. I hate when people say, "oh, you look great. You dont need to lose weight." POint is, I want to lose weight. And not to an unhealthy weight, but to a healthy weight so I can be proud of my body again..

I have just visited this board and read this thread. My problem is that I am at the "last few" according to what I have already lost. I am stuck at a plateau and can't seem to knock myself off. I'm not giving up though.
My doctor told me to set a high goal (175) and if my body wants to continue losing after I'm on lifetime, then that's OK, if not then he will be happy with it. It will be a lot cheaper too. Since I won't be paying during lifetime, but I will still be OP.

I have a problem with my weight coming off very slooooowly. I only have about 20 lbs to lose. The funny thing is, I went to my meeting the other morning and there is a mirror in there that is supposed to show you what you look like 20 lbs lighter. If I were to lose 20 lbs, I would be almost at goal.....but, when I looked in that mirror, I looked horrible!!!! Waaaay to skinny for my liking. So i'm not sure what I'm going to do. It's funny because I don't see myself being that skinny at only 150 lbs. Granted I have a lot of muscle, but still....it looked funny. I wonder if the mirror really works?

I hear ya Rose. I've lost 125lbs and have 20 left to go. It just seems like this plateau has been going on forever. I have to keep reminding myself of what my ultimate goal is and that helps me to keep going. My goal weight is 210 but what I am really working towards is learning how to scuba dive after I get to my goal weight.
Everyone keep plugging away.

Has anyone tried the fast track to get that last 10 lbs off? I need to lose only 10 more to be at personal goal, and I have been trying so hard. It's just been like .8 or steady. I am going to try the fast track for 2 weeks and see if that helps. I'll try the carb one and then the protein one. Wish me luck, I so want to hit my PG.

Jainie -
I haven't tried the fast track yet, but I'm seriously considering it. Those last pounds are being very stubborn.
Let me know if you decide to do it and maybe we can do it together. The extra support would be nice. 20 pts with no AP's or flex pts sounds a bit challenging.

I am ready, but I have to start next Monday (Feb 9th), that's the beginning of my week. I lost .8 this week and .8 last week. I want to see at least a 1.5 loss next WI (Wed). I am here with you, these last lbs are so hard to shed. I have 9 lbs to hit PG and 3 lbs to hit WG. It started out that I was losing 1.5 - 2 lbs a week, then it went down to a lb now it's parts of a lb.
I'll hit the grocery store this Sunday and plan my menu. Thanks for joining me, hope this gets us to goal!!!!

I did the fast track and lost 1.4. I weigh in again this friday. According to my scale, I have lost about 1.5. I am currently not fast tracking, they say not to do this every week.
It wasn't so bad. I cut back on alcohol and stuff and did the high protein one.
I might try the carb one next.

You guys, I have 6 pounds to go!!! I have given myself 2 years to lose 20 pounds (by my 40th birthday in June). I am currently putting it on FRONT BURNER and I WILL reach goal! I'll keep you posted.

Was skimming this thread an came across this. I have aprox 10# to lose. I have never been unhealthfully overweight, but that's the point, I want to stay that way. And when I lose those 10# (which I will) I won't be unhealthfully underweight either. I'm @ the top of the range right now and I'm shooting for a midrange GW. People might just think, oh, 10# isn't that much, what does it matter if you weigh 10# more. Except that I know all about the health benefits and so it does matter... it matters a lot and it matters to ME.

Cheryl--
I agree that as long as it matters to you, you should do it. I always hear "oh, you look great...I think you would be too skinny if you lost another 15#". I tell that particular person, my coworker who is wonderful, that she doesn't have to see me naked every day! Its tough to loose those last however many lbs. Its also tough to face the fact that in order to be healthier you need to change you life. I think the permanent change is harder than losing the last few lbs.

This is my 4th or 5th time doing WW seriously in the last 3 years, and this is the most I have ever had to lose (12 or 13#). If it were so easy then I wouldn't keep gaining and loseing the same #s. Going to meetings and hiting lifetime might help stop the cycle, but I haven't gone in 1.75 years cause of money issues. This time though I am detirmined to keep it off for good.

I have no problem staying OP on the weekends: I get up late so I either skip breakfast or make it a brunch & skip lunch. I also have plenty of time to exercise. It's the weekdays at work that get me. I spend the entire day sitting at my desk getting *no* exercise & snacking. I feel like I deserve the snacks since I have to be at work. Then I get home & have little or no points left for dinner & I'm too tired for an extended workout. :(

I guess will power is the answer! And total determination. We've got to get totally motivated so that nothing can detour us. Actually, last night I had to go to the Cheesecake Factory for a friend's b-day and I totally skipped appetizers AND cheesecake. Just a salad (no cheese please) and water for me! I was very proud when I left and it has left me very motivated! Hopefully it's contagious!!

Count me in as a FTL member! I lost about 10 pounds 3 years ago as a BCB lurker, and have since regained 5. I'd like to lose somewhere between 5 and 10 pounds, not sure of my exact goal yet. I just came back to BCB tonight, and am not quite ready to officially "start", but saw this post and wanted to join the thread.
I've also felt hesitant about posting at BCB, since I've never been significantly overweight. I found BCB the very first time I went looking for a "diet", and the philosophy of BCB and the research behind WW impressed me.
For me, the goal is not just to lose a little weight, but also to make a lifestyle change that includes better nutrition and exercise. BCB can help provide support and accountability, no matter how small the weight loss is.

Hi Zetta,
I also have few to lose and have never been significantly overweight, but I truly believe in the WW way of life. Also, I want to stay at my goal (when I reach it again) this time FOREVER.
Good luck,

Hi All,
I'm new to BCB... and looking for some help losing those last 7 pounds to reach goal! It doesn't sound like much, but to me it is a mountain! Any words of advice, encouragement, ideas, would be deeply appreciated!
Have a wonderful Day,
