Good Morning!
It is a good morning as I am able to move and get out of bed, and thank the good Lord for that.
Last week I spent 3 days at the med center meeting with drs, and planning the next plan of attack for this disease. If there was a good plan to treat all this mess, I would be so grateful. As the drs and myself have no idea what organ will be affected next, we take it hour by hour.
This week I am so drained I can barely move. It is out of bed to the bathroom, then to my recliner. Other than the med center, that is how the days are going. In 1994 they said I had probably 5 years left, so each day is very precious to me and my family. I am not giving up yet.
My weight increased 13 pounds in 6 days, so they have doubled my kidney meds. If it ever decides to work I could spend a few days in the bathroom. The Lupus is in every organ now, but my brain and I am thinking it might be there too. My mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. I can start a sentence, and hopefully I finish it and it makes sense. Due to the Sjogrens Syndrome my skin and organs are very dry and brittle. Having diabetes I need to be careful with my feet. Early this week my right heel skin split deeply in 2 or 3 spots and cracked in several other spots. Now it is infected and I have to be on another drug for that.Earlier in the week I started another med for my liver disease, and each drug affects my clotting factors. Yesterday they feared I had another blood clot in my leg, but thanks to the intervention of the Lord, the test came out negative. I am so black and blue from blood draws and just touching my body leaves me black and blue, especially where the blood pressure cuff goes I have some very interesting patterns.
I am really tired, but wanted to check in. I trust everyone is doing well. Karen has been in my thoughts lately, and am glad to see she is doing better. I miss all of you. Praying that soon this "flare" of Lupus and other problems let me to go back to being a functioning person again.
Thanks for all your prayers.
