Just wondering if anyone watched Oprah this Monday afternoon.
She had some very impressive people on there who had lost a lot of weight.
I was impressed with a lady that lossed 193 lbs.
It sure was something how she did it all by herself.
She journaled every day and even put pictures in
Journal and of course incorporated a daily walking routine.
So I just wonder how someone can stay so motivated when I have a hard time doing this.
I have weigh in tomorrow night if I can step up on the scale with my knees LOL.
But today I had two cookies but still stayed within the program.
Hope you are all doing good.

I didn't watch Oprah on Monday because it was a repeat show, but I did watch it the first time. Those guests had great results. Too bad the one guy who lost over 500 lbs. has since died. They were a great inspiration.

Motivation starts with YOU. YOU have to do all YOU can to become and stay motivated. Journal your points/drink some water/do some exercise/I keep a personal journal so if I'm stressed I write instead of eat. I cut out pictures/sayings, etc. and paste them in my journal to keep the motivation up. I made a copy of a virtual model at my starting weight and then one at my goal weight. I'll do some more of them as I continue to lose, and paste them in my book. Eat a variety of different foods. Get the most food for the least points. Reward yourself with little things as you lose the weight. I go to meetings and it helps me a lot. I don't eat my trigger foods. That is not to say, I won't have some "some day". I don't miss them, which is a good thing. I eat chicken/fish/veggy products/fresh fruit and veggies and fat free yogurt. I don't bother with things like cookies and a lot of snacky things, even though you can have them. I watch my carbs and I make sure I get enough protein. Protein fills me up faster and that makes it easier to stay on program. You can eat snacks, but I find if I keep my protein consumption up, I don't need a lot of snacks.

YOU are so worth it. Just DO IT for yourself. It's a great feeling when the scale goes down. I've got one more point range drop and then I'll be at the range for life, or thereabouts.

Make a list of all the great things about losing weight - starting with the desire to just do it.

Hilde,

Yes, I watched it and would again.. There was one lady that was shown in two piece swim suit or bra and underpants I just don't recall. But she looked terrific and did it in a short time...( a year???) Younger than me, but her figure sure did resemble mine, the before picture of course... darn....
She did it watching her food intake and lots of gym exercise!! I have the membership, need the motivation!
This week I am doing very well, I now have 2 additional exercise points to add to yesterdays. and I have l pt. left over from my meals, totalling 5 banked points for lunch tomorrow. I have never had that many banked points, is that too much to use at one meal? If it is how many can you use per meal? Isn't that the berries, this long on the program and I don't know this simple thing,,,?... guess you now know why I am still struggling with my weight......DAAAAA!

Chari: I will ask that question at meeting tomorrow night it is a good point.
I do know you have to use the points within that week. You can not roll them to another
week. But I will find out and let you know.

Chari: You canot use more than 10 banked points in one day. If you have more than that you have to break them up into 2 days or more. :D
