Hi buddies-- graemlins/wave.gif
I really had my eyes opened when I attended my 40th class reunion... I went there feeling very proud of my weight loss, but it was not long before I realized that the real success I had was not in pounds, but in my good fortune of good health... So many of my school mates had serious health problems, and some moved on to be with our Heavenly Father...

It really put things in perspective for me... The value of WW is not only for our "looks" but for a healthy life!! Yes, feeling better about how we look is important and helps motivate us to make the correct choices... I am so thankful for learning all that I have in the WW program about nutrition...

It was wonderful seeing my classmates and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening--and I stayed OP!! :D I am already looking forward to my 45th!!

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS AND......Learning a lesson it takes a life time to learn and some never do..... I guess I maybe one of those people that has yet to realize the old sayism... "If you have your health you have everything" And isn't it wonderful that WW's is an avenue to good/better/best.... health.

Thanks for sharing your reunion...

Oh Sharon I too experienced that at my 40th reujion. I didn't want to say anything, as you were so up about going-didn't want to bring you down. Sometimes getting older is the pits. Several of my classmates died from being over weight.

Sharon ..I am so glad to hear that you had a wonderful time at your reunion...but the best thing of all is the realization of the need to be healthy...Looking good is one of the reasons for following WW but the number 1 reason is health...alot of people don't realize that until it is too late..The size of your clothes doesn't matter if your health isn't there with you all of the way...Wow to go to your 40th reunion and stay OP..that is amazing..good for you and continued success in this journey..You go Girl.. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif .

Sharon, glad you had fun at your reunion.

Yes, WW, at our age, is about health as much as good looks. This time, I went back to WW for health reasons, and it's a more compelling reason for me. As we grow older, we need to take better care of our bodies.

Sharon; I am so happy you had a great time at your reunion. Health is everything!!! Do not take good health for granted. Savour each step, each walk you take unassisted! Savor each breathe you are able to breath! Each day is a blessing.

So many of us join this program to look better and find out along the way that the real key issue here is getting healthy. I think most of us realize that because of our age. I wonder if the girls on the younger boards have heard that click yet? As we get "older" (do I dare say that?), we realize more and more the importance of healthy living, and along with that goes the looking better part of it, a side note if you will. So happy to read that you managed to stay OP!! That to me would really be an achievement, although you certainly wouldn't want your classmates to see you eating after losing all that weight now would you? I wouldn't!! ;) :D
