Hello :

I am wondering what does everyone else do in the evening? I seem to want to snack too much then.
I am trying to find other things to do.
But you know how a mind works.
Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday today
I am journaling.

I take my dog and sometimes my dh and go walking. If its just me and dog, we go to dog park and I socialize with the people for about 1 1/2 hours. I read alot, sometimes watch tv. work on a hook rug or put pictures in the album. I try to save 2 points for the night snacking and have something light, but good. Hope this helps.
I also fold laundry. And always have a big glass of ice water next to you.

Well I don't know if this will help you, but my biggest lifesaver at night time is my air popped pop corn...I love the stuff and save a couple of points almost every evening to have that..

I save points for a light snack at night too, usually some fruit, sometimes I have toast with a little jelly to satisfy my sweet tooth, and when it gets cool, I love my 1 point cup of hot chocolate....
Of course there is always the Smart Ones Ice Cream sandwiches that are only 2 points, and they are soooooooo good!!
You can also have around 20 WOW chips for 1 point,if you like salty, either those or pretzels does me good for the salty things....oh, and a tootsie roll pop is 1 point!....Norma

If you are a habitual night time snacker, evenings can be a very difficult time. There are many low point snacks but if you are unable to limit yourself, then you need to find alternate activities to break that pattern. As Dr. Phil says, you can't just take away a habit without replacing it with something else, or you just leave a gaping hole, and that won't work.

I do save 2-4 points for night snacking, but I try to never eat after nine at night. Mostly I try to keep myself occupied so I don't think about eating. I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, it keeps my hands and my mind very occupied. I like to sit out on my porch with a cold drink and watch the world go by in the nice weather. A summer evening stroll is another nice thing to do if I am up to it. I also like word puzzles and reading a good book. I have favorite TV shows to watch but with summer re-runs I have to be more creative. Sometimes I resort to cleaning chores if I am very tempted to eat. As a very last resort I will go to bed early if I can't find any other way to stay out of the kitchen, and I know other people who use this tactic also. Once I am in bed for the night with all the lights turned out downstairs, I won't get back up and go to the kitchen for food. This works every time. graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

I try, but not always successful to save a couple of points for a snack after dinner. If this doesn't work, I go to bed. I know I will not get up to eat. Works everytime.
