Hi Buddies,

My best friend Pat(since Jr. High) is getting a group together for lunch, at the end of the month, as one of our high school classmates is retuning for a visit to Iowa. Well, not a lot of weight will be lost in this short a time (11 days) but enough time to rid me of bloat and set a pattern of healthy eating and activity!!!!! I call this 'Motivation via the Telephone', a friendship favor that she did not know she was doing.. The majority of these ladies are not heavy and in good physical shape, well, they were the last time I saw them, 2 years ago at our class reunion... Drats!!!!!! I was about the same size and will be again... But this time I will have ridded myself of some habits that are not good and maybe?? just maybe, healthier patterns will be set into motion.. no pun intended. Cause it is said that it takes 2 weeks to establish a habit... hope-hope-hope....
I will be posting my continual exercise log, and my weight????.... Send some positive vibes my way.

PS Got my hair cut really short, got rid of 1 ounce already graemlins/crazy.gif

Chari,
Motivation by phone, huh? I like it. Whatever it takes. I just went to something very similar this past weekend. A high school friend was in town for awhile and wanted us to get together. It was great fun and we came in all shapes and sizes. We talked about people saying "Oh, you haven't changed a bit" What a crock. I weighed 110 in high school. And I had hair past my shoulders. Hello?? What are they talking about? LOL.
Anyway, back to being in better shape in two weeks. I know you can do it and even if the scale doesn't show a big loss, you will feel so much better and therefore you will carry yourself better. Want to bet they ask you what your secret is? Believe it or not, one of the guys told me last Sunday that I looked better than anyone he had seen from our class. Wow that was a boost!
We will be waiting to see your progress and will keep you on track.
Love,

Chari: You'd be surprised what you can do in 2 weeks! That's actually a long time. Maybe you won't lose 50lbs., but whatever you lose will be a plus, ah, I mean a minus. Did that make sense? Well, you know what I mean! You keep going, your new start has to "start" somewhere, right? You never know what you can do till you start! So you get going, girl! And good luck to you. :D
