It was a big (really big) decision for me to join WW. I knew I needed help and I needed more support than a thin husband to give.

Well after I wi today (and was down again!!) I knew I needed to make a real serious exercise decision. My neighbor and I walked last summer everyday but Sunday, and after a rough winter I felt I need more than just walking. Today she called when I came home from WW and said she had just joined Curves.

After seeing my doctor this afternoon I too joined Curves. I did it for me, and I deserve that 90 mins a week to treat myself. I can move now and I love it, now on to another step.

I just needed to share that with my buddies.

Good for you M K. You are lucky to have someone that you can walk with for friendship and conversation. As for curves and deserving 90 min. a week for yourself, i would say you deserve a whole lot more that that. Just take care of yoursrlf and good luck. Hugs Ris graemlins/thumbup.gif

MK, You are without a doubt an amazing woman. I admire your strength! Your goal will get closer and closer as you work the whole program.
And, Jeanette, "yeah, yeah, I hear ya!" Man, you are the squeaky wheel, aren't ya? :D I really am exercising now and, you were right, I feel much better. So, here is to me and Merikathryn!
Love and prayers,
Carla

Go MK!! ;) I have found that my exercise may sometimes be painful or difficult but overall it has not done anything but increase my stamina and my sense of well-being. Some days are a struggle but it is worth every pound of sweat I put into it. :D

Good for you, MK! Lots of people really enjoy Curves, so I hope you'll be one of them. I've considered it myself, but need to check their hours.

Good for you Meri. I love those words "I did it for me and "I deserve" and you are soooo right! Congrats.

I walk at least 3 miles a day. I'm bumping it up to 4 now.

I checked out the gyms, including Curves, but it's too pricey and I don't feel I need it. Walking - for "me" is better and cheaper right now.

So Congrats. again and sounds like you are on the road to weight loss success and good health. graemlins/thumbup.gif
