Hi All!!!
I have a confession! I went offP yesterday! :eek: But I'm so not stressing it as it was an honest mistake and I had a GREEEEAAAAT day yesterday.
Jeff called yesterday morning! We chatted for 45 minutes and had a WONDERFUL call. (of course, then I talked to my mother who jsut about ruined my day because she's such a hateful person....Thanks, Karen, for letting me vent..again!)
As for being offP, here's the circumstances. I have been wanting to make that zucchini crust pizza for ages and a day and the zucchinis were going to die soon if I didn't do something with them. HOWEVER, I really didn't think that I would like the 'crust' as much as a regular crust, so I sort of combined two different recipes...and made some changes....and came up with my own thing.
So I make this pizza that came out GREAT!!! I am enjoying it and then my neighbors came knocking for emergency puter techie help.
I walked in the door to finish the rest of the pizza and the phone rang. One of my wives is having a REALLY bad time and we are working on getting her hubby home. She has a 2 yo that has serious medical issues. (stroke en utero, bleeding on the brain now, etc) The little girl is sweet as a button and you really would know that anything was wrong with her. She has been having ministrokes since the guys left though and has had numerous MRI/CAT scans in the last week. THEN, this poor woman just miscarried twins this last week!!! She didn't even know that she was preggers!!!! This was her fourth miscarriage...she's on depo...so that's why she didn't know. She called when I walked in the door....we have been working with Red Cross and it looks like her man should be home in a few days...thank heavens!! Of course, after all those dealings, I have to call the commander's wife to let her know waht happened and what's been done.
So done with that. Settle down AGAIN to eat my cold pizza. The phone rings AGAIN!! :rolleyes:
It was a MARS (HAM Radio) call from my HUSBAND!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!
It was a hard phone call because of the MARS relay, but it was HIS VOICE!!!! <sigh>
It was one of those "I love you, OVER" "I love you too, OVER" calls.....and a really bad connection. But we 'talked' for about 20 minutes and I am still in Seventh Heaven!!!
So I got off the phone and called the wife who has the issues and let her know that her husband would be calling in a few minutes and explained how to do the relay call.
Then, because I had been cooped up all weekend (waiting/hoping for a call and the Tax Free Weekend) and because I was so hyped up after talking to My Beloved I went to Walmart at 11:00pm to get some hangers and yogurt. BIG MISTAKE!!! All the last minute shoppers were there and I didn't get home until 1:00am!
Then, I had to get a letter written to David as there was some info that he needed asap.
I finally fell into bed around 2:00am.
So, in my head, I figured up the points for the pizza. (Everything else for the day was faithfully journaled, of course) I guessed that the crust was 6 points for the whole thing...then the mushrooms and sauce...then the 2% mozzarella cheese was 5 points for 3 ounces. That was 11 points...which would put me at 19 for the day. 1 Point over my Minimum.
WELL!!! I just sat down to post this great pizza crust recipe and imagine my surprise when it calculated out to 3 Points for the WHOLE PIZZA CRUST!!!!! That leaves me 2 Points under my Minimum for the day.....and I'm really not freaking about that!!! I've never gone under or over my points (without overdraft protection) before, and I really thought I was in my points. I just didn't have time to journal with one thing after another last night....especially with dealing with that wife's situation. Am I making excuses...yes, I guess I am. But I'm still dancing around because I got to talk to my son AND my husband yesterday AND I found a great new recipe.
It doesn't get any better than that.....at least not when you are celibate!!! :D
