Good morning -- where the heck is everyone? Usually there's 3 or 4 postings by this time! I wish I was sleeping, but what else is new? :D I got my basement cleaned yesterday, so I'm pretty excited about that. It's been a disaster for a while now.
Tonight I need to organize my desk and study area -- school is starting up in a few weeks, and I need to have a clean place to study. I've been using the desk as a catch all since school got out.
Hope everyone has a wonderful OP Monday!

Good Morning Buddies graemlins/wave.gif
Am up earlier than normal on the puter, as just got home from work. Was supposed to work a Day shift, but somebody goofed and overbooked staff. Even though this is a Statutory Holiday in Ontario, and I am missing pay at time and a half, and it is not too busy at present......I still was only too happy to go home and take the holiday. (Not that the weather is wonderful or anything, as a matter of fact it is still quite cloudy and dull. At least the fog has lifted however) Just walked in the door, so I guess I'm OK, no messages on voicemail saying its all been a big MISTAKE, and could you please come back. That was my major worry when I was walking all the way home.
I better quickly plan some use for this day off. Thought about doing grocery shopping, but darn it all the stores are closed. One plan will definately be to get out for that long walk I have been avoiding all weekend. (The rain and fog has been getting me down and does not induce me to exercise)
Well, will make another cup of coffee as I slowly plan my day off.
Have a great OP day everyone. :D

Good morning buddies,
Kind of a slow weekend. Took both of the kids to Walmart (separately) on Saturday. DD and I were out with a full bag within an hour. DS only managed one pair of shorts after 3 hours and 4 stores! He's become pickier about clothes than his sister!
Sunday, I made my dinner menu for the week, and did the grocery shopping. We grilled a chicken for dinner last night. We had thought about baking it, but it was hot enough in the house I certainly didn't want to heat it up anymore with the oven on.
Not too much going on today, but the usual...laundry and such. DS has plans to sleep over at a friends house tonight so I'm sure DD will be enjoying the solitude and not having to fight to watch "her shows".
Mardee - Oh, how I wish I could get motivated to clean my basement! When we moved here 2 years ago I had boxes neatly stacked down there. I think between the four of us we have managed to re-open and dig through every box down there looking for long lost stuff.
Karen - Enjoy your holiday!
hugs, prayers & **{sv}} to all~

graemlins/wave.gif Good morning!
Well, the chaos has officially begun! I'm doing the "band mom" thing this morning. Then I have to get up to school to get my classroom ready. graemlins/ugh.gif Just the thought of facing all those boxes is making me stress! I wish they wouldn't make us pack up our rooms for the summer. This summer went by too fast. I got absolutely nothing on my to do list accomplished.
I have to get up to the high school in a bit. I have ice pops for the kids on their break from marching parctice. One of the doctors in town donated wash rags that we soak in ice water for the kids to cool down with. Their practice field is an asphalt parking lot... and the heat index is 106 today!
I'd better go grab some breakfast before I run out the door. Everyone have a fantastic day!

Good Morning All graemlins/wave.gif ,
I have noticed that the sun is getting up later and going down sooner this past week. It was always a sign that it was almost time to go back to school when I was a kid. I am just waiting for that smell in the air that means Fall is here.
I have to do some cleaning today, haven't yet figured out how this house gets so messy with just the dog and I here
Just PT on the agenda today, this week and next week and I am done. I figure I will have to replace it with H20 aerobics and there are still exercises that I will do at home (like 90 crunches  ). I bought a pair of water aerobic shoes this week and tried them out yesterday. What a difference! No more slipping in the pool. They look like running shoes (made by Avia), but are of a lighter material that dries quickly.
Well, time to move it! Have a great day everybuddy!
Mary
Bizz Camille (Great Dane) usually posts on the 50lb to lose board if you are still looking for her.
Mardee the university here starts back on Aug 25, when do you start? This semester and the Spring are the downhill slide for me. I have 2 classes on Tues and then just clinicals, where I will go and practice undersupervision in various offices and specialties. This is usually where the different places "look you over" and you usually get a job offer or 2.

Good morning!!!!
Not alot going on here today...Right now I just have the 6 year old here so it has been a queit morning....
I had a great vacation, meeting both FirstCav and Ice....The only problem is the week went by way to quickly, now it is back to the real world...I have to get DD registered for school today as we missed registration last week...She starts school next Wedsnesday...why is that the summer always flies by so quickly? Her school supplies are all purchased, but we still have to go shopping for clothes...I am not looking forward to it as I just never know what size is going to fit (I really wish that sizes didn't vary from one brand to another...it would make my life so much easier!)
Mardee-I wish I could get my basement cleaned...it's on my list but just haven't gotten round to that one yet
Karen(rollercoaster)-Hope you enjoy your unexpected day off and get to take that walk!
Lisa- Sounds like you are doing school shopping...I feel for you your DS sounds like my DD!
Stamps-SOunds like you are having fun...Enjoy!!
Bizz-HI!!! Hope you are sleeping peacefully as I type this!
Debbie- To me "bandmom"= terror....I hope you survive with your sanity intact!
Mary- Only two more weeks of physical therapy...Yahoo!!! Any news when you will be able to go back to work?
Hi to everyone that hasn't posted yet!!! I will be back later to check in on everyone!
SKinny vibes to all!!!!!

Morning Buddies. I had THE BEST WEEKEND!! It seems weird to say that, considering I spent most of it doing something that I absolutely HATE to do -- CLEANING! BUT, the main difference was that I had a project in mind that required the cleaning. Saturday I did laundry out the whazoo while I went through all of the things in my room, cleaned the garage out and grabbed some other junk I no longer use so my brother could take a bunch of stuff to the dump on Sunday morning. After we emptied and cleaned the truck, we headed to Costco, where I bought an armoire and a nightstand for my bedroom! :D You may remember that I live in a house built in 1935 that has no closets in it! Well, new furniture, a couple of runs to the home improvement store (Jerry's out here) and Walmart, and I have the most wonderful bedroom on the face of the planet! At least it seems that way to me, as I can now open the armoire and select clothes to wear in the morning, instead of digging through drawers or the piles on top of the cedar chest. I HAVE A REAL BEDROOM! :D Can you tell I'm excited about it? I don't think I've worked that hard in a long time and I never realized how many clothes I have -- will need to send some to Goodwill and the ShelterHouse, but I feel MAHvelous!
Mardee - I've been in the clean and organization mode lately. I did my sewing/computer room last weekend, and now my bedroom. Nice uncluttered space are wonderful to be in. I wonder how long this will last?
Karen - oh how I wish I had today off. I still have some organizing to do. I hope you find something fun and productive to attend to. Our grocery stores are almost always open, some even on Christmas!
Lisa - well, now that I'm getting the house organized, I'll have to follow your example and get my menus organized. I do so much better when I work at that, instead of planning day-to-day. Isn't that funny when the guys start taking an interest in what they wear -- they can be more fussy than the girls sometimes!
Sue - oooo! N'Orlans would be a very tempting place to be! I can just imagine the smells in the air from the shops, especially in the French Quarter! I've never been there, but have seen several travel shows.
Biz - I do love to browse around and look at all the new stuff too. Hope you get some sleep. Maybe you could just kind of push him till he falls over the edge! tongue.gif
Debbie - sounds like you've got the weather we had last week! It has finally cooled down here. That is terrible that they make you pack up your room. You don't move do you?
Mary - it was nice chatting with you yesterday. My house turns into a pit with must me and the two cats. Of course, I think they have big parties during the day when I'm at work.
Trish - that is the bad thing about vacation -- you have to come back! I get to leave here on the 14th and I'm already dreading coming back!
Well kids, I've gotta get some work done. Try to get the piles down to the desktop before I go on vacation in a little less than two weeks. We're supposed to have thunderstorms tonight, tomorrow, and the day afterwards. I normally love them and we really need the rain, but I'm afraid they will start fires. I'll check back in later!

Hi, guys. Just taking a quick break before heading out to do some running around. I'm not sure how many stores are going to be open today, because of the holiday, but I need to pick up some chicken, I want to stop at a used book store and see if they have any of the Sholan Alliance books by Lisanne Norman that I can't seem to find in bookstores. I have also been calling around because I want to buy a set of 20 lb ankle weights and start some weight training, but I can't seem to find anywhere that carries them. I didn't think I'd have such a hard time finding them, considering how many sports stores there are. I bought a book that was recommended by a WW who has lost over 100 lbs, called Smart Women Stay Young. Now that I have it, I'm anxious to get started.
Well, this isn't getting my errands done. Hope you all have a great day.

Greetings to all my Fab Buddies! I had a marvelous Weigh In today, putting me at 156 pounds, one pound away from my WW Goal of 155. Now I need some help making a decision - do I want to stick with that goal (the top of my height range) or drop down to say 150#? Any comments, advice or tales about your goal setting? I am 50 years old, 5' 6" and will have a BMI of 25 at 155#. I have a flabby bit of tummy, but am otherwise very pleased with the "New Me". I have scads more energy, cute clothes fit nicely and I am exercising regularly, because it feels GOOD! I have changed my lifestyle, and am very pleased and proud. graemlins/thumbup.gif
Does anyone know if WW Online will let me get to goal at 155, start Maintenance and then decide to lower my goal weight? I don't want to screw up the online stuff, as I intend to continue with that for the foreseeable future.
Thanks for any help in making this decidion. Sending ********{Skinny Vibes}}}}} to all of you!!

Good afternoon buddies,
It's muggy here but not as bad as the last few days. We have rain in the forecast for the whole week.
I got the verdict on my car, new transmission. :( The cost of the overhaul isn't much less (I had them price it both ways), by the time you count all the costs. I haven't had this problem with my previous 2 cars and I ran them 200,000 miles each. My current car only has 63,000 miles. Oh well. Any problem you can solve with money isn't that big a problem, right?
Gram, I hear there's no strike, at least for now! smile.gif
Donna (darkscore), why are you looking for 20 pound ankle weights? Mine are adjustable up to 10 lb. (5 each leg), 1/2 lb. at a time. If you are just starting I can't see why you'd want more. I do like the adjustability. I haven't had to buy more as I got stronger. I got mine at a sporting goods store that sells weight training equipment.
Kate, congratulations on being almost to goal! If you are a regular WW member, WW will let you set your "offical" goal at the top of your range. Then you can do whatever you want (stay there, lose more weight to your personal goal) unless you drop BELOW your weight range. I don't know about goal and Lifetime on WW online.
Linda, your new bedroom sounds wonderful! My house has turned to chaos this summer. Dd can't find any of her stuff (it's everywhere!). You and Mardee are going to get me inspired to find some order in there. But I don't know when.
I hope everyone has a great OP day!

I have food in the forecast for the whole week. graemlins/ugh.gif Potluck picnic & concert tonight (band 1), ice cream social & concert tomorrow (band 2), ice cream social Wed. (work). Life doesn't stop does it? Right now I want to skip them all. But I promised to do the concerts!

Hi Buds,
Just a quick update - My daughters senior pics went really well, and I can't wait to see them! The concert Friday was great. Saturday I saw "Seabiscuit" and loved it. Then things fell apart! My car needed brakes, Sears screwed up the estimate and told me it would be $1200 (might as well ask me for $12,000!), it was actually "only" $600, and then the car wasn't ready by 6 as promised. So there I was at Sears at closing time with no ride. I did manage to get home, but I was not happy. I was, however, OP through all this, I'm happy to say! Tomorrow is my appointment with the counselor at the tech school, so I'm looking forward to that. It's been a busy few days. I hope you are all well and happy, and I hope to have more time to catch up tomorrow!

Hello Everyone: graemlins/wave.gif
Just a quick check in as DD and I are going to walk up to the resturant here and have some dinner togeather. DH is working tonight and she is a little upset(mad  ) with the current BF. Seems he is taking his best friend to the MTV dance with him and not her (best friend is another girl)She doesnt have a problem with his friend being a girl but this is not the first time he has put this other girl first before DD. Im staying out of it unless she asks my opinion and then I will still try to make it seem like her own idea. What ever she decides. They are only 14 but I forget how devastating this all can be at that age. DH would like to see her dump him (Daddys little girl)as he says there is something about him he just doesnt trust.
The weather is great here again. Sunny and warm but not to warm. We are suppose to get some rain this week. We can really use just so long as we don't get any lightning.
Well better go now DD is saying she is starving so best get my butt in gear. Hope every-one has a great OP evening. Sorry no time for personells today maybe tommorrow.

Hi Everyone,
I'm back from the week end. It's been awful weather lately-- hot, humid, monsoon-like rains, and lots and lots of thunder and lightening. But, I did manage to find a dry (and lightening free) hour to walk this evening. I've been really good about exercise these last several weeks-- and it feels good!
I spent most of today fighting off the humidity, and fighting the laundry....the suitcase is unpacked....and sitting on the livingroom floor waiting to be re-packed for Friday! I can't wait for the end of the month. We're going to spend two weeks away (Berkshires). This back and forth stuff is beginning to wear me down.
I hope you are all well. I can't seem to catch up on all the posts. Maybe in September....!!
Karen (TorBabe) I'm so sorry that I missed you on line this afternoon. I would have loved to chat. I hope you enjoyed your day off!
Dawn, Trish, Lindalou, Mardee -- Hiya ladies!
Best to all,
Zaybe
