Hi Buddies!

Sorry... sorry... sorry to disappoint... but I forgot to grab my digital camera when I went to meet Trishvan! She had hers, and when she gets home to Indiana she will likely get something posted. (TRISH - POST YOUR PICS ON A REPLY TO THIS THREAD....pleeeeasseee???)

We had such a blast, it's so much fun to meet a buddy! We met first on Thursday at Sam's Club - after my ice skating lessons (she called first while I was skating - I take my cell phone with me everywhere BUT I never skate with it - would be just my luck to have a major fall and crush the little thing!).... She called to see where I was and I was just pulling in to Sam's... she and DH and DD were across the street at the mall so they came over to Sams! On Friday we met at the Quail Springs Mall and had lunch together, then we walked around a bit... her DH and DD and my two DS's played in the arcade while me and Trish visited. They would really like to move to OKC, so I might just have a buddy right here in my town! It was a lovely day, we really had fun just chatting!

Okay now that I have the pic's up now I can tell everyone about meeting Karen....

(Sorry Karen the pic's of the kids didn't turn out on the digital so we'll have to wait for the other film to be developed!)

My DH, DD and I got into OKC Weds evening....I really wanted to call Karen right then but I figured she'd all ready be in bed and didn't want to wake her up....Now I first "meet" Karen when DH and I first starting researching OKC as a place to live....We have talked on the phone several times..in fact she was the first BCB'er I had ever spoken to over the phone....Some of you may remember we had planned to go to OKC in late May but that trip was canceled due to my grandmother's death...So needless to say I had been waiting quite impatiently to finally meet Karen......
So I waited until 4 on Thurs to call her knowing she had to work and got her voice mail...Oh no I thought did she get my email? Did I give her the wrong dates? Was she even in town? Then while we were out in the middle of nowhere searching for Dh's old house she called and as I had no service out in the midst of all the cow pastures she left me a message...Well I got her message but knew she probally spent at least an hour skating so I waited as long as I could and called again and got no answer.....So DH, DD and I decided to drive over to a mall he had often went to when he lived in the OKC area...After browsing for a while we decided it was time to head back to the hotel when my phone rang and it was Karen!!!! And she was at Sam's Club less than a block away.....So after quickly making my DH dash to change lanes we pulled into Sam's Club and I seen Karen's tailgate before I seen her...and as soon as the van stopped I was jumping out running up to finally meet Karen....and her two adorable sons!!!! We went shopping with her...or rather she shopped and I talked and we made arrangements to meet again Friday afternoon....We all had lunch together and browsed a bit and all to soon it was time to leave....We took these pcitures in the parking lot of the mall....
The good thing is that DH and I will be moving to the OKC area...when that is hard to say cause first he has to find a job (he applied for a few while we are there....so everyone keep their fingers crossed!!!!!)

Karen is such a sweetie and so are her boys....Considering my DD thinks boys are gross I was quite surprised to see that she hit it off with Karen's boys right away like they were old friends....She was the same way with Dawn's daughter...

I will post more about my trip tommorrow....right now am busy taking care of those thousands of little things that have to be done after vacation...

Can't wait to meet more of you guys!!!!!

Isn't it neat? Meeting all these buddies? I just love it. Of course I'VE already met Trish AND Karen, Na, na, na, na, na, na tongue.gif ! And her sons and DH are just as adorable as she is! Of course, Trish is adorable too! She's my kinda woman - just as klutzey as me! :D But you're looking good GF's!

Trish, did Karen keep her mammoth fingernail clippers in her purse, or did she play axe murderer? :D Glad you finally got to meet and had fun!

Unfortunately a trip to the states, or anywhere overseas for me isn't on the cards in the near future for me, but who knows what lays ahead further down the track.........one day :D
