I promised Linda and Karen a tour of Heemskerk.
I hope this works. Just click on below and follow the instructions.

web page (http://www.heemskerk.nl/)

the picture of the mud whole is an archaeological site. The foot prints are a man and a horse and re 2000 years old!! It is from before the Ice age. (Karen and Linda ,no regular mud, lol!!)

click on the left hand side “Wonen en leven”
then click on “Recreatie en ontspanning”
then click on “Bijzondere locaties”
Click on each red lettered link.
Slot Assumburg is around the corner from my house, like 3 minute walk, it is also the place I got married.
The huldtoneel, is the place where in the middle ages offers were made and later people were knighted on this little symbolic hill.
After visiting all these links go back to the left hand side and click on “Virtuele tour door Heemskerk”. It will take you on a tour of our fine city.

I hope you guys enjoy the tour Virtual Tour of Heemskerk.

Oh Tina, how beautiful! You are so lucky -- I would give anything to be able to live in Europe. Your town is absolutely charming -- thanks for sharing the link with us!

You know -- this is fun! Maybe we should start a thread where everyone posts an image of their hometown.

Tina,

I've never been to Europe. Thanks for sharing! The cathedral with the stained glass windows is just beautiful!

Tina - What a beautiful town! I will have to try and spend more time in the Netherlands other than the occasional hour waiting in Schiphol! Thanks so much for sharing the pictures.

Tina graemlins/wave.gif thankyou so much for sharing, what a beautiful town you live in. I have always wanted to go to Holland, my mums father was dutch :D And I just love old architecture, which unfortunately we don't have down here!

Mardee, I think a thread with everyone's home town is a great idea.

Once again thanks Tina graemlins/bcbsalute.gif
