G'day babes graemlins/wave.gif

gotta be quick today, one of those 'go slow' mornings graemlins/ugh.gif Decided I'd have another night off from cooking after the weekends dilemna, all day I was looking forward to chinese for tea, then late in the arvo, I realise, they're closed on Mondays!!!!!!!!! and DH and myself don't like fast foods, so it was everyman for himself :D Well the guys all had pizza and me vegie soup that I made out of left over vegies from the weekend!

Got myself some yummy green tea with jasmine yesterday, called 'Buddhas Tears' very yummy but **** expensive, $28 for 50g, but well worth it. Placed an order for a new Japanese teapot, unfortunately the store is not sure if they can get another one in :( And today I'm picking up another one that I ordered, yes, I just love Japanese teapots and they're are quite alot of designs!!!!

 gotta fly

Hi Biz.

I can't believe I'm still awake and it's midnight. I'm busy printing return addresses for DHs store on about 400 envelopes. He's always asking for them 100 or so at a time so I thought I'd just do the whole box and get it over with. I'm almost done so I thought I check in.

Not much going on. Today was first day of DDs stay over my parents house in NY. She'll be there the whole week. DS woke up this morning and asked me seriously when his sister was coming home? They're either getting along great or fighting tooth and nail--go figure!

Gotta supply the printer with more envelopes so I can get to bed.

Y'all have a great OP day!

Good morning ya'll,
I have to go in early today. Work is busy, as usual for this time of year. It's supposed to cool down for a few days. Highs will only be in the mid 90's and there is a chance of rain. We need rain badly.
I changed up my exercise yesterday. Instead of walking for 40 min., I walked 30 min. and then did 10 min. of weight machines. I think my body has become used to the walking and I will try to trick it into burning more fat.
Everyone have a great day.

Hi ladies I am late today... I have no coffee in the house so I had to go and get some at duncan donuts before I got dressed for work (now that is addictive behavior). I hope everyone has a great day!
Sal: I love Kohls! I was not familiar with the store until I moved to Colorado in 96 and I became hooked. They just opened some stores here in Atlanta
Jane: Congrats on statying the same that is great!
Bethanne: Yep in the past on vacation I would always gain so to stay the same is good for me
Karen: I have the 2 mile WATP. I love it. I think the 2 mile is light to moderate
darkscore: That is great that you are dedicated to writing in your journal. I wish I could get in the swing of things with doing. However I did do it yesterday and I am going to do it everyday.
Bizz: I need to drink green tea I just can never get it down
Marie, Ice, and Cinna: Have a good one!

Good morning everyone! Not too much going on here today. Just working on a Lab budget for 2004. Things are so expensive! We are buying a new sink for our pathology department and the cheapest quote was $21,000.00- what I could get at Home Depot for that! tongue.gif Still using the Gazelle,,I am up to 20 minutes every other day and loving it!
Biz- enjoy Buddhas tears....
Marie- Keep on printin!
Ice- I always end up sleeping on the couch when DW is away- I can't sleep in the bed because I miss her "cover hoggin".
Cinna- Don't work too hard...
Have a terrific day!

Good morning! It's such beautiful weather we've been having -- I haven't even had the central air on in the last few days. It's so weird to have a summer in Ohio without humidity (well, hardly any). smile.gif I finished season 3 of the Sopranos -- now I have to wait till season 4 comes out on DVD or video. Hopefully it will come out during Xmas break when I have time to watch it again.

BIZZ: Hope you enjoy your green tea and teapot. I like Tazo's green tea alot. By the way, I'm hooked on an Aussie singer -- Kasey Chambers. I just love her music! It's kind of folksy country-western, and is quite unique, as is her voice.

MARIE: Have fun with all that printing -- NOT! Do you have a laser printer? I just ordered one -- can't wait till it gets here. It will be so much faster than the ink jet.

KAREN: You're cracking me up! :D Just remember (and this is what I tell my sister, who hates to fly too), you have a better chance of winning the Powerball lottery than you do of being in an airline crash. My sister takes Xanax too, and swears by it.

CINNA: Good luck with the exercise change -- I think I need to do something. My body has been stuck for 3 weeks now -- I need to jolt it out of its rut. :D

SUE: I'm with you on the coffee -- luckily there's a Starbucks on the way if I'm driving, and one right by my bus stop downtown otherwise.

CHARLIE: Jeez, $12k for a sink? What's it made of -- platinum? Good luck with the Gazelle -- I'm glad it's working!

Hope everyone has a wonderful OP Tuesday!

I'm not holding out much hope for a productive day. :( It's 4:00 a.m. here and I'm awake because the city crew is out repainting the intersections and curbs in the neighborhood. I didn't get to bed until almost midnight, so I should be a pretty worthless piece of fluff today. At least I got up and went outside to turn the sprinklers on out back. It was 98 here yesterday and looks as though it will be over 100 today! We need rain so badly. At least it's 63 out now, so I'm enjoying the breeze wafting in the window along with the back-up beeps of the trucks and the spray gun noise! Well, I think they may be moving down the block, so I'm off to try and hit the hay again. Have a great day everyone!

Hi Buds,

Not much new here. OP yesterday, plan the same for today. I did a video in the morning yesterday, walk in the afternoon, and a video again this morning, and will probably walk later as it's supposed to be nice. I've decided to start tracking my AP's. I haven't really done that before. Maybe if I tally them and use them, it will be easier to stay OP because I won't be as hungry.

Bizz - It's nice to have a healthy splurge! Enjoy the tea!

Marie - Gotta love sibling. There's no middle ground, is there?

Ice - Are you flying on the 19th & 23rd of August? Please say yes!! I'm not crazy about it either, and I'm going to Vegas for work. I'll be sitting, eyes closed, clutching the armrests!!

Cinna - Good idea, giving the exercise plan a jolt!

Stamps - I LOVE Dunkin Donuts coffee! We don't have one around here anymore though. Probably a good thing...

Charlie - Great work on the Gazelle!

Mardee - Same here with the weather! We've only had the central air on a few times. I LOVE having the windows open!

Lindalou - I sure hope you were able to get some more shut-eye!

Gram - Wow, too bad all that luxury isn't attached to a vacation!!

Hi to all. Catch you later!

Greetings from Holland

I am fine, the weather is good and I have no banked points. I am trying to save for points for dinner, we are going out with our friends before they go back home.

Gram, I am so sorry for your loss and that you had so many in such a short time.
Dawn and Trish, too cool!

Good morning buddies. This was the first morning waking up without DH beside me. :( We made the drive from Austin to Tampa last week and spent the weekend getting him as settled as one can when the apartment you want won't be ready until mid August.

One of my biggest motivators right now is losing more pounds before each visit with my DH. Ideally, it would be just great if every two to three weeks, I had lost enough to where he actually can tell. So, with that, I will be getting in more exercise than when I did with him here with me, and preparing ONLY OP meals to eat without the temptation of any of the foods he likes that are not OP.

I did well while making the trip. Much better than I thought actually. Since I am new to this and am doing it without the WW materials, I pretty much winged it from Thursday on. Plus, on Thursday, I did not get in enough water for the day. After having to stop to go potty every 20 minutes while on the road, I pretty much figured it would take us a week to get to Florida instead of 18 hours!! However, stepping on the scale today for my weekly weigh-in, I am down another two pounds!! :D

Have a great OP day everyone!

Good morning buds,

After a busy and barely OP weekend, it was nice not to have to go anywhere or do anything yesterday. I think my parents needed a day to just hang out at home and rest up. I'll take DS to the Dr. today for his annual checkup. He's due a tetanus shot and he's not looking forward to it.

My parents flight back to Texas is tomorrow morning, so I'm looking forward to Wednesday. I love Mom & Dad, but they still manage to drive me a little graemlins/crazy.gif Growing up, Mom was always the one hounding me to lose weight. This time around it has been because I want to lose the weight. She didn't find out until their arrival last Thursday that I was back on WW and which she suddenly became the food police just like she always did. I had to politely and with a smile on my face tell her that I managed to do this without her help and I would continue to do so. Of course that still hasn't stopped her questioning "is that in the book?", wondering if the few Twizzlers I chose to have last night was listed in the Food Companion. I assured her it was in the book and even if it wasn't I could have it and still account for it. Sorry this turned into a vent.

Have a great day everybuddy,
hugs, Lisa

Good morning buddies,

We seem to have Mardee's weather too, much cooler and low humidity.

Last night I was asked to play in a second community band, so I have a concert again tonight. Should be fun! This one's in my home town, so no long drive.

Karen, Grace, I'm with you, when I'm flying I have to remind myself that it's 100 times more dangerous to drive to the airport. I also don't like the hassles of late flights and missed connections and waiting in airports, which is typical on my trips. On our last trip there was one delayed flight out of Cincinnati - ours. Funny, I used to love flying. But we may fly more often now; it's a day or more's drive to any relative, and with the new airline in town we can get to any of them in 1 or 2 "hops" (used to be 3!).

I hope everyone has a great OP day!

Good Morning All graemlins/wave.gif ,
I am officially bored to tears! I have to run to the university today to get a book and some things at the library, then water aerobics (never did make it yesterday)and then NOTHING. Well, I do have some things I can do. I kinda missed work when they delivered quintuplets the other day. They were 34 wks and all good sized.
Well, gotta go get breakfast so I can go to work out. Have a great day everybuddy!

Hi, guys. Another nice day here. I'm getting very frustrated at work these days, wish I could win the lottery. Oh well, I know it will pass, normally I like my job, it's just this one project I'm working on that's taking all the pleasure out of it right now.

Hope you all have a great day.

Hello Everyone! graemlins/wave.gif

I have not been online in a while, we have been painting the kitchen, and we finally finished graemlins/crazy.gif YEAH!! Hopefully I won't have to do that again for several years!! It took up all my free time, I have not even been able to excercise, or walk the dog much. And believe me the dog is not happy about it. I have been struggling to stay OP too, with the kitchen torn apart we have been having quickie meals, easy to make, easy to clean up afterwards. So now I need to work on getting back into my routine of excersising, which the last two days have been good. I have not gained, but I have not lost either.

The last time I was on a plane I was flying home to Houston from Dallas, a really short flight. We were suppose to leave Dallas at 6:30 be in Houston at 7:45. There were thunder storms in Houston, so it was delayed, then the thunder storms showed up in Dallas, so we were delayed, we finally board the plane at 12:30pm and sat on the runway for at least an hour, we took off and it was the most turbulent flight I had ever had, I sat there through the whole flight gripping the armrest till my knuckle turned white, praying that I would not fall out of my seat, the unfasten seat belt lite never came on.!!! We finally arrived in Houston, some time between 2-3am. So much for quick short flights!!! I have driven to Dallas ever since,

Well everyone have a great day, it is great to be able to get back on the boards, this reall does help me stay motivated to stay OP

graemlins/wave.gif Good morning y'all! I'm barely here today. Busy Saving Lives! Karen! I'm so glad to see you back with us. I am a HORRIBLE Flyer! My family hates flying with me. No matter how hard I try and hide my fear, it still shows. I am a prayer, too! LOL

Good morning buddies. I'm very bleary eyed and have a terrible headache, but I made it into work. Weather report has been revised to temps from 100-105! I want my mommy!!! graemlins/sobbing.gif Got the little window AC running at full tilt. It's not making much of a dent in the blast furnace trying to get in my window and I have the blinds shut as tight as I can. It is supposed to cool off a bit tomorrow (95). Sheesh!

Biz - I am also a tea addict. We have a marvelous little tea house here in Eugene that sells tea from all over the world. I have a couple of different little tea pots, but my favorites that I use most often are BeeHouse pots. They are just big enough for about two cups of tea -- a good-sized mug. My latest favorite is a MF Pleine Lune (full moon). It has a bit of orange, vanilla, chocolate, and a few other indescribable flavors in it. So good.

Marie - Was it the heat that was keeping you awake too? I can't believe I just got to sleep and the workers showed up to paint!

ICE!!! - how good to see you back again. I've been missing you. I guess I'm opposite of you gals, I love to fly. I do admit, however, that I don't really enjoy the long flights over the water (to Europe) even though I do like to go.

Cinna - I too have started back with the weights. I really think my upper body could use some work, especially my bat wings. I sneaked a peek at the scale and I think it may be working!

Sue - I need my coffee in the morning too. I get a nasty headache if I don't have some caffeine straight off.

Charlie - holy moly! I agree - I could do some major damage at the home improvement store with $21,000.

Mardee - send some of that nice weather this way, will you? I can't remember a summer this hot in ages. I'm melting! (Now who was that brat who just threw a bucket of water on me? tongue.gif )

Grace - I did get a little more sleep - very little. Way to go on all the exercise. Do track your APs. If you don't eat enough, you will stop losing. It's a real bummer, let me tell you!

Tina - sounds like things are good. I hope you go to a nice spot with some good OP food for dinner. I like going to a new place and discovering that the menu has just what I need!

June - my, we have a couple of you gals who are separated from DH due to work. That must be so tough. Way to go on the two pounds! I don't blame you about the water during the car trip. I have been blessed with an iron clad bladder, but I think it's beginning to weaken as I age!

Lisa - it's never fun having the food police around. I told my family straight out that I was on WW and that I could have ANYTHING I wanted, so I didn't want to hear any questions about what I was eating. I also reminded the few who are on the heavy side that they should not ignore the plank in their own eye while worrying about the sliver in mine! tongue.gif Come on in here and let off some steam anytime you want. That's what we're here for -- support! Tell your son to keep his arm as relaxed as possible and the shot won't hurt that much.

Nancy - enjoy your weather. I just wish our forecast had some rain in it. Temps below 90 would be nice too. Looks to be hot and dry for at least another week.

Mary - oh you poor thing! Can you go visit the babies? That might be a fun thing to do. However, I'll bet someone would try and get you to work! Got any good books to read?

Donna - I know the feeling. I really don't want to work for a living anymore!

Becky - enjoy your time with DH. It's nice that you have a vacation together and can do stuff with just the two of you!

Justine - I've finally got the kitchen walls cleaned, now I need to paint. Will have to wait till it's cooler though!

Sal - glad you're on the job! The boobs of the world need you! tongue.gif

Well kiddles, I'd best get to work. I'll try to get the weight loss challenge results up this evening.

Hi Buddies!

Well, I'm home without DH again this week.... so hard to get to sleep when he is not here. Just got out of the bathtub, am a bit more relaxed and hope to doze off soon....

Me and DS's flew to W.V. last week to see DH where he is working now. (Details are in my reply to Bizz in the thread asking for me.... :D )

Most of you know I hate to fly. Quite the paralyzing fear at times, actually. But with DS's with me I had to keep my emotions in check. Well... God has quite the sense of humor if you ask me, and he had a bit of fun with me when we were flying home!

Flying from W.V. to Atlanta on the first leg, I was in an aisle seat (as ALWAYS). On landing approach, my DS's were asleep, and I was reading my book, pretending to be on a bus... and NOT looking out the window. So we are getting ready to land... when I suddenly feel myself leaning BACK into my seat. I stole a glance out the window, and we were DEFINITELY going UP!!! I'm thinking to myself... Up? UP? Landing is DOWN... why are we now going UP????

So after ASCENDING for a few minutes, the pilot comes over the speaker and says "Ladies and gentlemen, as you have probably noticed, we did not land". (in my head I heard... Duh...UH!) He went on to say... "As we approached the runway for our landing, another plane came out onto the runway, so we have ascended again and will make another pass at landing in just a minute". HELLOOOO..... I thought the key word in the job description of an "Air Traffic Controller" was to CONTROL the AIR TRAFFIC!!! Guess that does NOT include GROUND TRAFFIC..... or they would be called Air AND GROUND Traffic Controllers!!!! graemlins/crazy.gif

Anyway, we landed just fine, and I had one more plane to take to get home to Oklahoma. I sure could have used a stiff drink, but again, traveling with DS's I even had to leave my Xanax in my backpack!

I'm sooooo glad to be home! I counted it up this weekend - starting on Dec 26 of last year, just 7 months ago, I have been on 20 AIRPLANES! That's because I have been on 5 different trips, 2 planes EACH WAY.... What does God think he is doing? Guess he has decided that I simply don't pray enough, 'cause I sure do my fair share of praying when I am flying! And by the way, if YOU are EVER flying on the same day as me, you have Divine protection - I pray for protection for EVERY PLANE IN THE SKY when I am flying!

OK buddies, I'm off to bed. Have a Delightful Tuesday!

Good morning Fab's:

Hope every-one is having a great day. We are going to be HOT!!! again today, not that I'm complaining we get so little of it I'm really enjoying it.

Well last night we had something wierd happen to the computor IT WOULDNT SHUT OFF  It was like it was possesed  . It was screaming and groaning and carring on so bad I phoned DH at work. Well he talked me thru what to do and I did a virus scan and all seems to be well this morning. Go figure.

I phoned my DM last night and it seems DD had a pretty bad day. He had to go to his Dr. and have his foot lanced and when he said to the nurse maybe he would get some sleep tonight she handed him a perscription for Demerol and told him to continue to take his morphine as well graemlins/ugh.gif I'm a little worried about him being on so many pain killers but I don't want him in pain either. When I mentioned to mom that we may be coming in August she started to cry graemlins/sobbing.gif so I know we are doing the right thing by going she is just getting exhausted. They finally gave her home care back so she will only have to change the dressing once a day now at least for a while or until they cut her off again. I think when I'm down there I might try and get in to see the Dr. and try and find out what the long term prognoses (sp) is. Sorry to keep going on about this but I am just really worried.

Well the bathroom is scrubbed and I am contemplating the hall with the tall ceilings  as you can see I'm on here posting and not at the top of a ladder. It takes time to plan these things out you know LOL.

Bizz: I have never had Jasmine tea but I have heard it is very good.

Karen: I have never had to fly and I try to keep it that way. Thats why god invented cars, trains and automobiles. Maybe some day but I don't think so.

Mardee: Hope you have a terrific day.

Linda: Man youre city crews start early, ours are not allowed to start before 8:00am.

Grace: I usually use my AP's at least 4-5 of them by the end of the week.

Tina: Enjoy youre dinner out remember you can do this.

Gram: I'm sorry for youre losses. It is very difficult when all these things seem to happen all at once.

June2003: I had the same problem the last time we went away so this time I'm afraid I'm going to have to limit my water consumption for at the least the time we are traveling. Congrats graemlins/thumbup.gif on the terrific loss.

Lisa: I have the opposite problem when we went to see my IL last week my SIL asked me when I was going to stop this noncense!!! Go figure she was one of the people who convinced me that WW would work for me. Now she has gone OffP and thinks I should stop to????

Mary: If youre really bored I have some walls here that I would gladly turn over to you LOL. Not really enjoy youre time to yourself we don't get much of that.

Becky: Sounds like you had a real nice day.

Justine: Those home projects sure seem to take up the time.

Linda: Hope the headache is better, I usually get a thumper if it is to hot.

Charlie C: I also could have some fun at Home Depot with that kinda money. We have one opening here on Wednesday I cant wait.

Well I better go and contemplate that hall some more HaHa. No I really need to get it done. So hopefully I will be able to check back in later DD is home and we share a computor. Have a great OP day every-one.

We're leaving for the airport soon so I have to dash. DMIL doesn't know where she's going and when DH asked her if she enjoyed her holiday she said "what holiday? I haven't been on holiday" Pretty sad eh? :(

Janice - sorry your dad isn't doing well. I'll bet your mom will be thrilled to have you there. It is stressful watching the folks get old. I was devastated to lose my folks when I was 12, but it almost seems better to have had them go in a flash than to have to watch them age. God bless you.

Mandy - God bless you too darlin'! I am so glad you will have your life back. I hope you are able to get hold of the other relatives in England and get some care set up for both MIL AND FIL - I think it sounds like he really needs it too. Take care! Put your feet up and maybe have a nice hot bath with lavender in it!

Back again. Dentist visit not too good. I've got an appt. on the 11th. Nice cavity near the nerve, but can't fit me in any earlier. So I'll suffer a bit. Might curb my eating though.

Charlie-Would you believe I did about 450 envelopes? Finished about 1am. DH was surprised to find them this morning.

Mardee-Actually I've got an HP Laser Jet(desk jet) and I can't load more than 15 env. in the tray or it will get stuck. I'm sure I slowed the process down by being online writing. You know, delay in reloading tray, bringing up print menu, etc.

Grace-How right you are. DH and I laugh about that, no middle ground. Fighting or best buddies. Aaah well!

Linda-Nope, it wasn't the heat. It was probably a combo of caffeine too late in the day and that good ole "second wind". It was actually tough getting into bed at 1:45am. Was a wonder I got up at 7am.

Everyone take care!

Hi guys it was absolutely graemlins/crazy.gif graemlins/crazy.gif graemlins/crazy.gif at work bleech. I blew 4 points on candy crap but still OP.

Going to a Captains game tomorrow night after work. The Captains are a new minor league baseball team. Brand new stadium to boot. I hope theres sushi there tongue.gif
