evenin' troops graemlins/wave.gif

had a grouse day with DH, he took me out for brunch, to a new cafe/restaurant that we've found graemlins/crazy.gif He's decided that we're going to do it every week or at least every second week, to different funky places, so we spend more quality time together.

Went for a long walk along the beach and shops, I sure will be looking forward to Sundays even more now :D

Get this, we now have an aussie dilemma, with Australia being the worst place for melanoma's, many die each year from this, it's now one of the worst places for vitamin D dificiency, due to our slip, slop, slap. Too many of us are apparently covering our bodies from head to toe and then slapping on the sunscreen, hence no sunlight hitting the skin to produce vitamin D!, so now the age of women with suffering with osteoporosis is getting younger. Now this doesn't effect me, as I'm bad, in the sun as much as possible and never use sunscreen. So the new theory everybody needs at least 15mins of sun a day!

Good morning ya'll,
I lost 1 lb. at WI yesterday. I've come to the point that I'm pleased with any loss I get.
DH was so glad that I got all the yardwork done yesterday. It took me 4 hours to mow and weed-eat the whole acre. Today we have to spray all the shrubs, pull weeds, and do some yard clean-up. Since Arkansas is so humid, we have to spray our shrubs every 7-10 days with fungicide and insecticide.
Last night I grilled chicken breasts, yellow squash, onions, and potatoes. I did enough chicken to have in my salad for lunch this week.
Bizz: Your day with DH sounds wonderful.
Sal: Thanks for the phone call and the chat. I'm glad your WI went well. After what you have been through, it is about time things went your way.
Linda: Thanks for the chat. I'm glad you like the new church. I hope we can work out to do the walk in Chicago.
I better get some things done so I can be at chat later.
Everyone have a great day.

Good morning everybuddy,

Great day yesterday. Rode the train 2 1/2 hours up to Winter Park, had lunch, played miniature golf with the kids & DH, and watched the kids run through a maze. There was a "Hawg" fest going on while we were there. Hundreds and hundreds of Harley Davidson bikes and their owners there. Lot's of good people watching for my parents as after lunch they decide to find a place to sit while we ran around playing. Then it was "all aboard" for the trip back to Denver. It was such a nice temperature change on the mountain for us as well. Cool and breezy! Last night we actually had a very welcome and much needed rain here at home.

Another busy day today. It's DS's 13th birthday today. I'm taking him and a buddy and DD to see SpyKids 3 this afternoon and then his buddy will stay the night. I'm sure the boys will be up half the night playing Xbox though so there won't be much sleep.

Well, I better get going as I've got a birthday cake to busy with.

hugs to all.
Lisa

graemlins/wave.gif Good morning y'all! Chat was a blast, as usual! Good to see so many of you there. Sorry that you couldn't join us, Biz. We'll see you next week!

I'm off to the gym to meet my workout buddy. Her name is Lynn and she is just getting started, but she is really committed! She is the one girl that I work with that has stuck with the Program and lost almost 30 lbs! WOOOHOOOO for her! I am so proud of her! She is also on BCB, but doesn't post much. She heard the click and that's all it took! WTG, mysticsound!

Not much on the agenda today. I'll take the boys school clothes shopping and have some pool time. I HATE SHOPPING! Someone, please save me> graemlins/sobbing.gif Oh well, a womans gotta do, what a womans gotta do.

Bizz-Sounds like you had an awesome day! Glad you 2 enjoyed it!

Cinna-You were 1 busy girl, yesterday! Enjoy your trip to WallyWorld and Congrats on the great loss! graemlins/thumbup.gif

Lisa-I loveeeeeeeee CO! Winter Park is the best! We enjoyed that trip so much! Camped all through CO and up in the Rockies! Best 2 week vacation, ever! I'm ready to move there!

Prayers, love, hugs and ************{SV's}}}}}} to all! Have a great OP day!

Good morning, I made chat, that was the first in a loooonnnnng time. I must now get ready to leave. Taking DD#1 to camp, and then meeting my cousin, so she can take DD#2 back home with her
to Minneapolis for the week.

It is raining here this am. A much needed rain for the garden and flowers, however I don't much like driving in it, so good think DH is driving.

I Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning! I'm off pretty soon to go visit and friend and possibly see a movie. Yesterday I did a lot of yard work, and managed to get not one but TWO walks in!! Woo hoo -- that's a marathon for me! :D I walked about 3 miles in the morning to the library and back, then got a hankering for Graeters in the evening (Graeters makes the best ice cream in the country!) smile.gif I had some banked points, but I told myself that if I wanted it, I had to walk to get it. So I walked another 2 miles to the ice cream parlor to get a scoop. smile.gif

I did not get started cleaning the basement, mostly because I spent so much time in the yard, although I did get my porch cleaned off.

BIZZ: Tracey, haven't you heard of a HAPPY MEDIUM! Getting some sun, but avoiding the bulk of it? It scares me, because I had a friend die of melanoma, and I would never want anyone to go through that. Have fun with your DH -- your trips sound absolutely wonderful!

CINNA: Congratulations on the loss! Sounds like we were both messing with the yard yesterday. I try to avoid sprays and such, but yesterday I did have to spray a bush which had been invaded with thrips -- I hate to do it, but I didn't want to lose my plant. It's a huge rhododendrum, and looks gorgeous in the spring!

LISA: I remember the change in temperatures when I lived in CO. I worked in downtown Denver and lived in Evergreen in the mountains, and every time I went home in the summer, there would be a 10 degree drop in temperature. I do miss those Colorado summers -- there's nothing like them!

Hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!

Oops, missed Sal, Becky and Bethanne! Hope you guys all have a great day!

Sal: Who ever said shopping was women's work? :D If you hate it so much, why not pass the job on to your DH? I'm a big fan of UN-sexing (okay, that's probably NOT a word) household chores. ;)

Becky: Have a good day today -- hope your DD has a nice time at camp!

Bethanne: Enjoy your chores! graemlins/wave.gif

Lindalou - BSOD is usually a driver issue...does it only happen when you plug in the new router? And is it a router, or is it a wireless access point? What OS are you on?

Morning Kiddos! I missed the chat! graemlins/sobbing.gif Wore myself out cleaning and moving furniture around last night and didn't get to bed until about midnight. I don't even remember the alarm going off at 5:15 -- the radio probably played for a whole hour and I slept right through it!

Biz - glad you had a wonderful day. Do put some low SPF sunscreen on in the summer. We don't want to lose you to melanoma.

Cinna - nice chatting with you last evening too. I got on looking for Sal, but she never signs on to AIM tongue.gif I just haven't had much chance to log on to it lately and it was nice to find a buddy there!

Lisa - I'm enjoying the cool air here this morning. It actualy got down to 60 last night. It's supposed to approach 100 this afternoon, so I can appreciate the change in temperature.

Sal- how fun to have a workout buddy! Looked for you on AIM last night. I've just been so busy with a million projects, I haven't had much time to sign on lately!

Becky - sure wish we would get rain here. Have a great day!

Bethanne - I'm running Windows XP and it is a router (although I guess that technically is a wireless access point isn't it?) Anyway, I have my student coming to work on it today. He not only works in our office, but works at the help desk in our computing center, so I think he can straighten it out. I haven't had the BSOD since I unplugged the router.

Mardee - my you were a busy woman yesterday! I got all my stuff to the recycle center, hit the sale at the quilt shop, and then tackled the house. Hopefully, I'll have it in shape by the time my helpers arrive today.

Well, lots to do -- still arranging the computer/sewing room, my niece is coming to help me clean and weed, my brother is coming to cut down a tree that is about to take out my neighbor's fence, and Graham is coming to fix my wireless. Of course, the house looks like a tornado ripped through it (not the white one either!)

Have a great day all!

Hi Fabs,
I am OP barely. I am finding it hard to stay within my point range, I have points banked. I can use tose if I need to, but would rather not. A combination of company from Switzerland and being a week from TOM are the reason I am struggeling.
I got kind do lost in the chat and could not type anything.
I will rest today and start exercising again in the morning. I have fysio and manual therapy tomorrow evening, so I will have sup[port if my neck mess's up again on me. Yay me! I need to get back to my exercise routine, how minimaal it is, is better than none at all.
After company leaves eating out will be over for a while.
Great loss with WI Cinna.
Sal your exercise advice with weight loss sounds right on target and I will take it!
graemlins/wave.gif FRANTICALLY AT EVERYONE!

Hi all!

Looks like everyone has had a busy weekend! I finally got DS#1 and his buddies off on their trip. Sigh... my babies are too grown up. He and 2 of his friends went to Florida for the week (3 17yr olds let loose on the world! EEEEK!) ;) . My in-laws are there, so they aren't totally on their own (I'm not THAT crazy!)

On the way home we stopped at Joe's Crab Shack... :D YUM! DH asked how that was going to fit OP... but I had banked points. When I got home, I realized that I didn't use a single banked point!!!

Everyone enjoy what's left of the weekend!!

Hello every-body:

Hope every-one is having a terrific Sunday? Yesterday was a great day DD came home graemlins/crazy.gif You think when they go away you are really going to enjoy this time to yoursesf and you do for a couple of days and then I really start to miss her.

Any-ways woke up not feeling so great graemlins/ugh.gif today not sure if it was to much sun yesterday mowing lawns or just a bug. I have got the head ache from h@#l and my stomach is just rolling. So no chance of going over Pts today. Was going to wash the bathroom walls and stuff today but think I will leave it for another day. Well I'm off to go and have a lie down and see if that ipuphrophen will start to work. Hope every-one has a terrific OP day.

Hi guys. Just a quick post, I want to head out to the balcony with my Harry Potter book.

The weather has been so beautiful this month. I've started walking to the bus stop in the morning and then home at night on any day that I don't have to rush. I've been really enjoying it. I'm not sure whether I'll be able to keep it up when winter comes, but I'll deal with that then.

Boy, I hope it's a little quieter at work next week. I've been so busy, and yet have been having a hard time getting anything done because so many people are away on vacation.

Well, off I go to my lawn chair. Hope you all have a great day.

Hi Buddies,

We are back from our weekend trip to my parents'. I picked up a few things of mine (baby shoes and hair), and some of my old craft stuff for dd. We had a good visit. Their church did a "sending forth" ceremony for them. Dd and my dad skipped rocks in the creek, all that good stuff. On the way home, my car lost its 5th gear (it's standard shift) so I got to drive home in 4th. I was limited to around 60mph in the 65 zones. But we got home safely. This week, the car goes in the shop. :(

Gram, if I got a chance to travel by train at company expense I would probably jump at it - if they paid for the sleeper car. It was a fun way to travel. But I don't know about getting very far from your dr.! The next few weeks and months don't sound like much fun for you, travel or not. And you'll do all that work, make the necessary sacrifices, and some of you will get laid off anyhow?!?

I hope everyone is having a great OP Sunday!
