I am pleased as punch with myself!! :D
I WENT ON MY WALK TODAY!! I walked all the way from my bus yard over to the light rail! I even did it with an ingrown toenail. How's that for "no whining"? ;)
I am hereby committing to walking tomorrow, too. I'll write here tomorrow and let you guys know how it went. I'm OP too. I am so pleased with myself!!! :D :D :D I'm also pleased with all of you . I know you'll be here for me, and that helps me put one foot in front of the other, the way I need to do it sometimes. THANK YOU!!!! :D :D :D

Thanks for all the support! :D
Nothing is worse to me than to have something fantastic happen to me and to have not a soul to tell it to. :( But I apparently don't have to worry about that happening again, not with 25000 Buddies on my side! :D :D :D
Toe is slightly better, despite the punishment it's taking. I'm walking again today.
[BTW, I walk 20 min. every day (10 min. + another 10), but I *need* to up it to 30, which is what I *finally* accomplished yesterday. I needed to tell someone about that accomplishment. So I came here. And I promise I will bring my problems, too.]
Thanks again!

Way to go Honeybear!
I have suffered ingrown toenails all my life, finally ended up having surgery that cut out about 1/4 of my nail on the inside, now they grow out a bit slanted but I haven't had an ingrown for years and years. DH still gets them, he refuses to see a doctor (typical man  ) so I usually make him soak his sore foot in warm salt water for 10-15mins twice a day. That helps him a lot, maybe you can try it!
Here's to lots more walking graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

I did it again! :D
And BTW, the pain in my toe is even worse. But it is ok enough to do my walk. It's like a vicious cycle: if I don't walk, I stay fat, and stay diabetic, slowly falling apart and losing body parts I'd like to keep. But if I do walk, miracles occur, my fat falls off, my diabetes reverses, I get to buy some nice outfits in a small size, etc. Plus I get to keep all my body parts. Some incentive, eh? ;)
WALK TIL YOU DROP! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif
