5 years ago If you were to tell me I would go to any fast food joint and get a Kids meal. I would have laughed at you. A Kids meal! pulease that wouldnt fill up a kid much less an adult.. I even giggled at people who got kids meals for themselves due to portion. Me? I got the Bigmac supersize please.
Today,That same kids meal I laughed at... Is a treat for me and I saw it as such and enjoyed it a such. 12 points and I felt like I was having me a field day. I always opt for grilled chicken but today? I wanted Fries and I wanted a burger so I had it. guilt free.
What are some things you reflect back on and how are they different today regarding the way you eat and how you see food?

That's what this program is all about isn't it? Not being deprived, eating what you want in moderation and planning accordingly. Way to go Tiff.
What I think has changed the most for me, is traveling. Used to be, any trip by plane, car, you name it was a license to eat non-stop. Came from my parents tossing me in the backseat with a book and a big bag of gummy bears or jelly bellies as a kid. Traveling is still challenging for me, so I now have low point snacks like popcorn and if I have the jellie bellies in my house, they're counted and prepackaged in little baggies with the points already on them. They're kind of a red letter food for me, but I enjoy them so much I refuse to give them up.
Thanks for posting this Tiff. I think the responses will be very interesting!

This is great to see how we have grown and changed our minds in reference to food!
I have two:
First is special occations. I used to get so excited about special occations because of the food. Soon, everything became a special occation. I could find a reason to have a party, go out to lunch/dinner/ice cream, you name it, for any little reason. Now, when it's a special occation, I really enjoy the occation, not the food.
Second is ice cream. The first time I lost weight on WW was 10 years ago. I ate a PINT of Baskin Robbins Rocky Road ice cream every Sunday night  to celebrate how well I had done during the week  . I eventually changed my habits by going to low fat ice cream, but then I ate a cup nearly every night. Now (and this has just happened in the past 6 months) I have 1 cup of Healthy Choice ice cream once every 2 weeks.

This is embarassing but - I used to think "dessert" was adequate (notice - *adequate*) if it was a container of frosting LOL. I try not to think about frosting anymore. It's my weakness hee hee
