Oh gosh, just had to come and share this in hopes that it will help someone else in the future. Now I know why they tell you to eat your minimum points for the day....so you avoid making unhealthy choices b/c your hungry!

Most of you know by now that I had a horrible day yesterday and all I ate was a dannon smoothie and some very minor stuff before I went to bed. Well, this morning I was running late (yeah, surprise!) and ate an english muffin with some PB on it, thought I'd catch some subway for lunch and take it to the office with me and eat it while I was working to catch up. Well, when I got out of my hair appt, it was 11:30 and I really wanted to get to the office so that I could get home and do all the other things that need done, so I didn't stop for subway b/c I wasn't really hungry right then. Well by the time I was finally on my way home (3:30) I was really hungry, went past a steak and shake and thought....hmmm I have a bunch of points from yesterday that I never used and I've only had 4 points today. So I stopped and ordered a mushroom and swiss burger and fries. Got home, ate it while I was paying the bills and OMG! Now I feel horrible. I've been soooo good for the last 2 weeks with food choices and exercise that I think my stomach is revolting from all the grease. I feel completely nauseous.

I know, I completely deserve it and I've learned a valuable lesson from all of this. Go ahead and kick away, just don't kick me in the stomach  .

Hope this actually helps any of the newbies on the board. I'm not one to post "I screwed up" stories, but thought there was a valuable lesson in this one.

Yikes! Wishing you all healthy, non-greasy dinners smile.gif

Oh Lori, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I was in the city on Sat, and had a great lunch (with fries graemlins/ugh.gif ), but left from it STUFFED (I'm from a generation who was told to clean your plate!). Then I went to Wendy's for supper. Had a salad and just a little of the dressing, and a frostie. I SUFFERED for two days...I can't seem to handle anything with fat in it. A lesson learned for both of us...
Here's to healthier meals!

Hey there,

KNOCK IT OFF!!!!! I'm getting tired of my buddies beating themselves up to death....Geesh. Okay we have a no excuse policy on BCB but for goodness sakes, we forget sometimes that we are human beings.

I REFUSE TO KICK YOU, your doing a pretty good job yourself. I adore you and applaud your efforts Lori. Your pictures speak for themselves. Allow yourself to laugh a little at your humaness (I just made that word up) and then move on. Pepto Bismol might help too LOLLLLL!!

So no kicks from me, just a big hug and kiss graemlins/kiss.gif FrankenJilli

Lori,

Thanks for sharing that experience with us. It has definitely rung true for me as well! I noticed that there are some things that I don't tolerate that well anymore. This past weekend went to our nephews birthday party and had some lovely red velvet cake with butter creamcheese frosting. The frosting just tasted like grease to me. When I was near finishing the piece, I felt pretty gross. It's amazing what your body "tells" you.

I'm guessing that you could have still enjoyed your Steak-n-Shake, but perhaps could have just eaten half the sandwhich and half the fries? Also, letting so much time pass between meals really sets off your perception of hunger, you know the old "eyes are bigger than your stomach" thing. Well, like you said, live and learn! graemlins/bcbsalute.gif

Lori I feel for you, I really do....I'm just glad you know not to let your body wait so long in between meals. I hope you feel better soon and I agree with Jilli, no kicks just a hug and a hope that things settle down for you soon.
