Hi all I hope you have a great day! I expect the next two days to be brutal at work. I am taking off Friday because my parents are coming in town. Have a good one I am off to exercise before I head out to work.
Cat: You are right it is always hard when I go home. There are certain things I have to eat which are loaded with points/calories Indonesian and Phillipino food. I expect a 1-2 lb gain this week maybe I will be lucky.

Good Morning Buddies,

I got a good workout on my "paint muscles" last night. One of the managers from work had me do a wall in his den. At 10pm I decided I was too delirious to finish, so I have to go back tonight. He's such a sweet-heart. He made me sit down to dinner with his family, and boy, can he cook!!!

My new job is at a performing arts high school. I am officially the Theatre Arts Aide since I signed my contract yesterday. That means I'm in charge of all the technical aspects of the theatre program...scenery, lights, props, etc. That's what I got my degree in, so I'm happy to once again be doing what I really love. I've never worked in an educational environment, so that part is all new to me.

As for vacation, my 10 year old nephew is coming here from Seattle for 3 weeks. He'll be staying with my mom. So, the week I'm off, I'll just plan a lot of stuff with them. He's such a fun kid to hang out with.

I hope everyone has a good day!

Morning everyone,

Well yesterday was such an awful day, today is bound to be better (see post from late last night if you want a run down...I'm proud to say I skipped the tequila in favor of my pillow and cuddling with the furbabies. Jim knew better than to be in the same room with grouchy Lori last night). So, here's to a good day today!

I'm having my hair cut and colored at 9, then I'm so behind at the office that I'll probably go spend the rest of my day there catching up. I've got to get the bills paid tonight...

Sumari - hope work goes ok for you!

Amy - your new job sounds great!

Bluff - hope you're feeling much better today. graemlins/kiss.gif

Hope everyone has a great day,

Good Morning Gang!

Hope all are well today! I'm feeling better. I even got my early a.m. walk in, so that's good.

I'm calling the dr again in regards to Taylor's swollen lymph nodes. I can't wait any longer since I don't think they're improving. I'd thought they were getting smaller, but now I think they're worse. She appears fine otherwise, so we'll see.

On the WW front I had a good WI this a.m. I had to give up my mtgs for financial reasons. I think some of the big loss may have to do with a.m. vs p.m. weighing. My scale was always in line with the WW one though smile.gif

I'm off to call the dr. I'll be back later for replies.

Hey Gals. I've been having a rough time lately, but once again, today is a new day with a better start. (Thanks much to Cat for a great PM that caught me at the perfect time.)

The number on the scale has been really setting my mood each day and starting me off on a bad path. I need to turn that around and fast!

I have so much to do today, but I'll be here on and off.

Sumari: I hope your day is better than you expected.

Amy: OMG what a fun job! I was very into drama in HS, but once I went to college, I found all the people in the theater dept. to be too pretentious. I'm very down to earth and really didn't fit into the life, so I quickly changed my major to Print Journalism. Enjoy it and keep us posted on what plays you're working on.

Lori: Sorry to hear about your awful day. I hope today's hair appt. picks you up a bit.

LoriBluff: I'm glad you're feeling better and I hope Taylor's OK too.

graemlins/wave.gif graemlins/wave.gif graemlins/wave.gif to everyone else. Hopefully I'll be back later.

Good morning. I decided to skip working out this morning in favor of taking a walk with Monica tonight. Miss Murfee was a bit miffed this morning though when I did not get up as usual. She started meowing at the base of the bed at 5:00 am. Then she paced up and down my body meowing, and then just stood on my pillow meowing in my face  . So much for sleeping in an extra 45 minutes! Sheesh.

Dinner last night with our friends was a ball! I used to work for one of them about 2 yrs ago, then she got a huge promotion with our company and is now an executive. She is so excited that I am working on my insurance designation - she told me last night that once it's done she will help me get into a management position! WOO HOO! I love being an agent, but lets face it, unless you own your office you don't have room to increase your income down the road. The opportunity to get into management would really help me to open my own office one day.

I better get going. Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Gina

SUMARI: I hope today isn't too crazy at work for you.

AMY: Your job sounds like it will be a lot of fun!

LORI T: When does the other doc come back to the office? Have fun getting your hair done :D

BLUFF: Glad to hear you are feeling better. Keep us posted on what the doctor says about Taylor.

Good morning everyone. I'm going to keep this short because I'm feeling graemlins/sobbing.gif this morning. Lastnight I had to put down my little Pekoe. His kidneys failed. The vet said it was probably just a congenital malformation and once he got to a certain age his body just couldn't take any more. He just turned 5 a couple of weeks ago. He'd been sick since Friday. He was my constant companion and my little helper.

So unfortunately I don't really have much else to talk about right now. I think the theme for today will be to keep myself occupied so I guess I'd better get to it.

Back for some replies before I take the girls to the park.

I have a 3:10 appt for Taylor. I think I'm going to insist on bloodwork or antibiotics today. Two weeks is long enough to wait- time for some action.

Sumari- hope you have a good day

Amy- the new job sounds great!!!!

Lori- hope you get some r&r today. Sorry to hear you had such a bad day yesterday

Jules- sorry to hear you're struggling Buddy!!!!! Sending you lots of good wishes. I know you'll pull through. I totally understand what you said about the scale dictating your mood. I went through a couple months of that not so long ago. I'm really trying not to focus on the blasted scale

Gina- glad dinner was fun- very exciting to have support from someone in the business so to speak. I'm certain you'll achieve your professional goals Buddy!

Good morning everyone! I too had a awful day yesterday. I had a doc app at 10 and got a cortizone shot in my hand, then I had to go to an interview for a job that I had just applied for the night before, so I wasn't ready for it. It didn't go to good, I have kids which to them would be a problem plus I had to do some testing and without my hand working properly I did really bad on the typing. Then I got a phone call from my mom and my Grandma who I was close to died yesterday which was my anniversary that my DH forgot. Then to top it off I broke my glasses which I am blind without. So I sure hope that today is a better day. I might have to check back later for hellos.

Good Morning Gang smile.gif .

Once again we have neither rain nor shine here today. Mother Nature just isn't sure and I guess that's a womans perogative!! I have lots of appointments again today so not much time to chat. My Mom and brother are coming over tonight to see us before we leave and they are bringing Teddy the Yorkie along. I am really anxious to see how he is in our home and with the girls without any other animals to deal with. When we saw him last, my Aunt's Yorkie was there too so it was hard. I guess Jon and I will make a decision before we leave so my Mom knows what to do with him while we are gone. He is not potty training very well yet, but I am sure he is pretty screwed up with being trucked all over the place. We will probably use the litter box and puppy pads like my Aunt did and hope for the best. OK that's all I have to report now. I will take a picture of him tonight and post it for all of you to help me with this decision.

Sue - have a great day and a wonderful time with your parents this weekend.

Amy - that sounds like a lot of fun with your nephew. I am amazed that a 10 year old is cool with being away from home for 3 weeks even if it is with Grandmom. My kids don't like to even stay over one night anywhere!! Your job sounds like the perfect fit. I hope it is.

LoriT - glad you didn't hit the bottle last night buddy. You sure wouldn't have felt any better this morning!! Enjoy your haircut/color and get out of that office as quick as you can today. Any advice on the potty training for Teddy? Is there anything I can use (scent?) to make him know that the box is a potty and not a bed? Right now he is sleeping in it and doing everything else anywhere he wants graemlins/crazy.gif . Here's a graemlins/kiss.gif for putting up with all my questions so far - there will most likely be more to come!!

Bluff - glad to hear that you are feeling better. Let us know what the doc says about Taylor too. Is it still really painful? Congrats to you on your WI results this morning too graemlins/thumbup.gif .

Jules - I know what you are going through buddy. I had been having a really hard time for a while and then I heard the click again. HONK HONK We are here for you.

Gina - I would be a bit miffed right back at Miss Murfee this morning!! Glad you had a good tiem with your friends last night and that is great news about the future with the company. You know I wish you the best.

Sarah - **************{HUGS}}}}}}}} I am so sorry to hear about Pekoe and that you are having to go through the loss of your companion. I hope that you will find peace knowing that Pekoe isn't in pain or suffering anymore.

Barb - glad Holly's rash is better and she got to enjoy the pizza party last night. Boy your neighbor sure knows how to pick his women!! Not that he's some great catch either I guess - LOL.

Jilli - are you with the QT PT this morning? Hope he is being "good" to you!!

June - still no plans yet - I might just give you a call when I get there and maybe we can hook up for lunch one day before you have to work. I will let you know of anything else we come up with.

Eria (Tiggeriffic) - If you are lurking - thank you so much for the b-day card and we are still trying to make some arrangements for the BCB in CA get together. I will be there on Friday 7/25 and leave on Saturday 8/2 so if you see this, PM me so I know what dates you are available.

Trish - call me!!

HI HO HI HO - must get this work done. HELLO to everyone else logging on later. I'm sure I will be checking in later and let you know how the puppy visit goes. Have a great OP day.

Hi Ladies,

I just got a call that my mother is doing fine, she's in recovery! The doctor ended up operating on BOTH of her knees. I feel so bad, I hate being so powerless right now. Despite how horrid it sounds the Doctor said she'll be up on crutches this afternoon and will have a rapid recovery. That aside, Jeff is off today, he took me to do some errands. I'm going to go take a nap, I just took a nice dose of Advil, this nasty weather isn't helping my own aches and pains!

Sumari - I hope you survive work brutality with ease buddy!

Amy - Your new job sounds so facinating. I'm so proud of you for your sticktuitiveness <<<< did I type that??? with your job hunting smile.gif

Keep smiling sweetie smile.gif (((((((HUG)))))))))

Gina - Thats awesome news about your position! I will keep my fingers crossed, you are so amazing smile.gif Tell Miss Murfee to take a chill pill!
Enjoy your walk with Monica.

Sarah - I am sooooo sorry about Pekoe. My heart is breaking for you. If you need to chat and see me online please catch me. Sometimes I have my screens minimized so I don't see Buddies on my list. I'm sending you a hug sweets.

Barb - Plucking?? In Public???? YUCK! I hope your scenery gets better today LOLLLLLLL graemlins/crazy.gif

Jo - My heartfelt prayers go out to you and your family, I am so sorry for the loss of your grandmother honey. Don't sweat the small stuff and just do what you have to do, it WILL get better. ((Hugs))

Shannon - I can't wait to see the pup's picture hon. It's a hard decision to make, so think hard and long about it, its a huge responsibility. I know you will do what is right for you and your family. Have fun with mom smile.gif NO ptqt today, day off. I go back on Friday. Tommorow is work out at home day!

Hey guys,

Just got home from the office and now I'm getting ready to pay the bills. How does that sound for the day??? Ugh sounds about right to me. Oh well, I hate whining so I'll shut up now! smile.gif

Bluff - I hope Taylor's lymph nodes go down quickly. Let us know what the doctor says. I'm sure you're worrying, I know I would be. Hugs buddy!

Jules - hang in there! I had a 6 week struggle...truly, something will happen and snap you back into line. Good luck on getting everything accomplished today. If you find yourself with spare time, I know a buddy in Indiana that could use some help graemlins/kiss.gif

Gina - gotta love the early kitty calls huh? Kasey does that to me. If I don't respond he's starts gently pulling my hair or licking my eyes with his rough kitty tongue...guaranteed to wake you up!! Cool news about your friend and helping you get your own office. You would be so awesome at that! The other doc in my office comes back next Tuesday...sigh!

Sarah - OMG! I just saw your note. graemlins/sobbing.gif I'm so sorry! It seems so unfair to lose them ever, but especially so young. He's lucky he had you and Travis to take care of him and recognize when he was so sick. I'm so sorry buddy. My heart just breaks for you guys right now. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

Barb - ewwww! Plucking in public?? Gross! Glad Holly is doing better today.

Jo - I'm sorry your day sucked yesterday as well. I think I would be kicking DH's butt. Jim forgot my birthday the first year we were married. From then on it's been the combination to his briefcase so he would never forget...LOL.

Shannon - hi buddy! Ok, you may not like this advice so take it with a grain of salt and throw out the parts you don't like. IMHO, dogs are dogs and were meant to go to the bathroom outside, so they don't get the whole litter box concept. To them it's just a great place to sleep b/c it has high sides and makes them feel safe. Dogs aren't small cats. I think he'll do great with crate training and frequent outdoor potty trips from you (great activity to get the kids involved with as well). Here's the trick, when you take him out to potty there is absolutely no playing, petting whatsoever until he has done his business and then make over him like he's the best thing since sliced bread. He'll get the hang of it in no time. You're gonna have accidents though so be prepared. If you're putting wee wee pads down on the kitchen floor and training him to potty there, don't be surprised if he takes a leak on your newspaper one day or in the middle of the kitchen floor where there is no pad. It's hard for them to distinguish where it's ok to go indoors and when it's not. If you train him right, he'll learn that outside is the only acceptable place to go. Sorry for the dissertation....take what you can use out of it and chuck the rest. Can't wait to see pics of this cutie!

Jilli - glad your mom is ok! I laughed my you know what off at the idea of cat hair stuck to Vitamin E. LOL!

Ok, off to relinquish our hard earned money to creditors....

Ok, what's going on around here? It's 5:30 PM & there are only 15 posts to the daily. Is everyone okay? Hopefully everyone is enjoying some nice summer weather & not working too hard... tongue.gif .

I just walked in the door & the house is so quiet. No hubby & no dog... both are on their way home shortly. Work was quiet again, so the day dragged graemlins/ugh.gif .

We'll I finally got the boost that I needed to really lose this weight. As most of you know, I've been struggling going back & forth with the same few pounds. You guys have really helped me to hang in there. Well DH & I decided that we're going to renew our vows for our 10th anniversary in Las Vegas. It's 2 years away so it will give me plenty of time to lose the weight & save my $$$. We haven't told anyone else yet but I'm so :D that I couldn't keep it to myself.

Ok, enough babbling from me & onto hellos:

Sumari - Hope your day wasn't too bad. Only 1 day left for you... Enjoy the visit with your parents.

Amy - Congrats on the new job. Good Luck! Enjoy your time with your nephew.

Lori T - I saw your post from last night. Did you get to relax today?

Bluff - Happy to hear about your good w/i. How's Taylor feeling? I hope everything is okay.

Jules - Hang in there buddy. I know I shouldn't be given any advice right now, but I need to say something. Please don't let the metal monster get you down. You've been working hard & it's showing. You look absolutely fantastic. I'm going to try to get to your WW meeting & then we could chat.

Gina - LOL about Miss Murfee. It's amazing how much these animals control us with their little attitudes tongue.gif

Sarah - I'm so sorry about Pekoe. You'll be in my thoughts & prayers.

Barb, Annie, Shannon - graemlins/wave.gif

Jilli - (((HUGS)))Glad to hear that your Mom is doing okay. How are you feeling? Have you gone back to the surgeon yet for a follow-up? I'm so sorry that I haven't e-mailed lately. Things around here are so busy.

Good Evening Everyone!

Nice long day at work 6 to 5! YUCK!!!!! The only good part of the day was that a guy I used to work with now works as a sales rep for some manufacturers that I buy from and he came in. I haven't seen him since before I had Garrett, so it was nice to see him, plus he's nice to look at! ;)

Other than that, not much else. We were all in a breakfast mood this morning, but they wanted sandwiches, so i opted for a plain bagel with LF marg. on it. It held me for quite a while and then had a small chili from Wendy's for lunch. YUMMY!

My teenage babysitter will be at the school tonight, so I will be taking Karate for the first time in a while. I hope that will get my @$$ in gear with exercise, because I am just too tired anymore.

Sumari- It is definately hard to go home and eat. I think part of it is we miss the things we always enjoyed the most, foodwise, and over do it because we will miss out on it later. I hope not to do that in NY in 2 weeks!

Amy- That is so wonderful that you will be doing exactly what you want with your new job. It sounds like fun. Hanging with your nephew sounds really cool too.

LoriT- the tequila still sounded good to me! Here's to a better day!

Lori(Bluff)- I hope you guys are all feeling better!!! I don't blame you on the financial thing and WW. I thanked god that I had finally hit Lifetime when I did because I had maxed out what my health insurance repays and couldn't afford it anymore either.

Jules- Don't let the scale be your monitor!!! Are your clothes fitting well? Are you eating healthy? Do you feel better? There you have it! I know easier said than done, just take it one hour at a time!

Gina- That is great that your friend will help you!!!! WTG!

Sarah- I PM'd you.

Barb- Perhaps the lighting on your street is better than in her house?

Jo- What a lousy day you had, you poor thing! I hope today is much better for you.

Shannon- I love Yorkies! My dad had one (Spike), he was so cool!

Annie- I hope you had a nice library day.

Jilli- Glad to hear your mom is ok. Don't worry too much about her, you still have to finish your own recovery.

Jodi- That sounds so cool! I loved Vegas!!! I am just soooooooooooooooo excited to see you and Jules, I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! graemlins/crazy.gif BTW is the WW center on Wantagh Ave? I have to remember to get your numbers before I leave too. I will definately be leaving on Friday evening, so I should get to my sister's at about 1 or 2.

OK I gotta get ready for karate, see you later.
