Ok Gang! Here's the new challenge thread! This challenge will start on June 1st and run through August 30th!

Post your start weight(or 0), your weight loss goal for the challenge and make sure to update weekly!

Since I am at goal and fairly happy with where I am at, I am only going to pledge 4 pounds.

I am trying to focus now on the areas that I see I still need improvement on...hips, butt and inner thighs.

Well, I did really well on the Summer Slim Down challenge (6 lb loss!), but since we're doing a 13 week challenge this time, I'm gonna pledge 7 lbs -- which will bring me to GOAL!!! :D It may not seem like much, but I'm a slow loser, so I have to set a realistic goal for my body. I'd rather lose more than I pledged, than not reach the goal I set.

I'm still tossing this around. I have 4 lbs to go to get to goal, but as I get nearer to goal I'm thinking about changing it from 150 to 147 or maybe even 145. So right now my main goal will be 150 - but if I can get to 147 all the better. Oh what the heck I'm going for 147 so that's a 7 lb loss! :D

Well, I'm in! My husband will hopefully be returning the 1st or 2nd week of Sept. so I am going to go all out and challenge myself to lose 30 pounds, that is just a little over 2 pounds a week so I know I can do it! Thanks for starting this! Liz

I'm going to really challenge myself this summer & go for 19 lbs. I know it's alot, but I can do it! What's that quote? "If you shoot for the moon, you'll be sure to land among the stars" or something like that... Anyway, I'm pumped & raring to go!!

Okay, if I post here, that means I really really have to do it. I don't take these things lightly. I would like to go back to my job (I'm a teacher), looking healthier and wearing a smaller size! With that said, I pledge to lose 12lbs. :eek: I've done it now. Can't take it back!

July 24 - Gained 1.8 (TOM - total lost 4)

Ok - The challenge is over and even though I feel a bit short of my initial goal I have several things to celebrate. (1) This was the first time I have every faithfully posted in a challenge every week, despite gains. (2) I lost weight and did not gain during this time period (3) I realized that I am a slow loser and that's ok. (4) I reached my 10% goal during the challenge (5) I reached "onederland" during this challenge!

I hope everyone finds something to celebrate regardless of their initial goals. Remember the trick is NEVER TO GIVE UP. I am looking forward to the next challenge.

add: July 15th- I am changing my goal to 10 pounds. Stayed the same again this week. no loss.

Ok, I'm back from vacation and since I missed the summer slim down by only .2 lbs, I'm gonna keep going! I am up a little because of vacation, but I'm not going to let it get me down! Plus, I'm training to do my first half marathon in Virgina Beach Labor Day weekend and I would LOVE to lose a few more lbs before then!
