Good morning ladies!
It feels like I haven't been on in forever and I think I am having withdrawls(LOL).DH was super sick over the weekend .He ran a low grade fever and hasnt eaten hardly any thing. His blood sugar was 277 @ last check and Hasnt dropped any.I phoned his doctor and she said give it time.Easy for her to say,Dh never complains about hurting or being sick so when he says he is hurting and just sick all over somethings up.This morning he took his medicine and pain pills and went to work.I know he wont be there long.Yesterday he was aweful.:bcb_sick:Any way I missed all of you and wanted to say hi and hope you all had a good 4th.
Have a great op day!:bcb_march:bcb_march

Barb, hope DH feels better soon!

Well, even with so so eatting yesterday I am starting to come back down on the scale. Weighed 132 today, so that is .8 of my gain back off. Also feeling better as I had to go shopping yesterday to get somethings for my trip...namely shorts. I kept grabbing 8's to try on and they were all too big, so I ended up with 6's. I guess my gain wasn't as bad as it made me feel! Anyway, 3 more days before the trip and I should be able to remain good and hopefully I will make it back to 130!

BTW for breakfast I am having one of the smartones breakfast quesidilla's....these things are good! And 4 pts, totally filling!

Good morning ladies,

Barbara - I sure hope your hubby feels better soon. I too feel like I've been away for ages. I didn't post since Thursday and I'm so disappointed that I didn't. My weekend wasn't the best but it could have been worst. I am back in full force today and hopefully, I'll have a loss at W/I this week.

I hope everyone else is doing okay.

Just wanted to say what a stressful weekend I have had.I have had a terrible toothache for over a week so I am trying to get it pulled this week.Dh has been very sick and then I got a call saturday that my favorite uncle died.I am so thankful I got to see him in may at my family reunion.I wont be able to go to the funeral because of money and everyone sick .They live about 4 hours away..So I am stressed to the max.
Sheila hope you have a good loss this week you are doing great.
Abbie a size 6(WOW)I can only imagine.

HHHEEELLLLOOOO All :bcb_happy

Another week has started! Hope everyone had a safe 4th of July.

Last Wednesday, I started being faithful to writing everything down in my journal. Trying to get in more fruits and veggies. Not getting that oil in though. I will work on that. Water has become my choice of drink. I am enjoying it now.

On my pedometer....everyday I have been adding more steps daily. For Saturday, I logged 11,535! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!! I did not wear it yesterday....but this morning a soon as I got up I put it on.

Barbara....You have been missed! Hope your DH is feeling better soon. My 18 yr old daughter is a Type I diabetic....it is hard when they do not feel well. It make the blood sugars go high and takes awhile to come back down.

Abbie...Isn't it great to go shopping and go to a smaller size? I am looking forward to that!

Shelia...I also look forward to posting and I do miss it when I don't!

Hello to all that follow!!

Oh, Barbara--(((hugs))) So sorry to hear about your uncle. What kind of surgery did DH have? He shouldn't have a fever...

I feel so incredibly fat and uncomfortable. I have to get a grip on this. Today is OP Day 1. I will do it. Went to Michigan for 3 days; it was fun. We worked around the cottage a little, went to the drive-in movie (saw Wall-E), DH and DS played golf and we rested--after the constant activity at home. Had dinner Sat night with some very good friends in Chicago, then got home yesterday afternoon and worked some more. Some days I wonder if we'll ever get rid of boxes...sigh

A dear friend of MIL and former doctor to DH died over the weekend. They are going to have a memorial service on Sat. I'm glad it is then so we can go and not have some "un-missable" meeting or something at work.

Big meeting today--will check in later; got to get some pre-work done before I go at 12.

Instead of whining about it, I have charted my menu online on e-tools, and changed my sig to reflect OP days--weight loss will come with OP days, so I think that is a better measure. Day 1 will be charted on the ticker tomorrow, after it is completed successfully! Starting with 30 days OP--if I can do that, I will be on the road.

Hey everyone! I had a pretty relaxing weekend and ate really well. Yesterday was a little more sodium than I probably should have eaten, but I am working on getting it out of my system! I have stepped up my workouts again and of course I am adding new videos to my collection!! I am aiming for at least a pound this week, but would LOVE to lose about 1.7lbs!!

Barb: Sorry to hear about your uncle. I hope DH gets well soon! (((Skinny vibes)))) on your upcoming wi!

Melodee: 11k steps? Girl, that is AWESOME!! Keep it up! It sounds like you are going to end up walking out of your current size and into something smaller!

Abbie: Size 6? I can only dream right now, but I will get there in a few more pounds. Hopefully by the time I reach goal, that is the size I am wearing! Congrats girl and keep it up!

Sheila: Great job again on your wi!! I know you will have a great wi this week too!

Anna, Cammie, Lissa, Melissa, Connie, Irene....anyone else to come or who I have missed... I hope you have a great day!!!

Barb - (((hugs))) That must be so hard. I hope things turn around for him soon.
Nikki - WTG over the long weekend eating well. I hope the 1.7 works out. You can do it!!
Ellen - Way to refocus. I love your OP ticker idea!!!
Melodee - WOW! Are you ever taking that activity to new levels. Great move writing it ALL down and I think we all know that focusing on those fruits and vegies makes a big difference.
Sheila - This is a whole new week and you WILL have a loss!
Abbie - 6? Yowza. I don't think I'll ever be in that size. Good for you!

So, I did pretty good over the weekend. It was too hot to eat! I did another long bike ride with DH. 16 miles. But, today, I had a big slip with some cookies. :bcb_mad2 What is my problem? I have WI tonight! I'm biking 20 miles so I thought I could have A cookie. Well, one turned in to several. GEESH! No control! Back to just my planned eating and I hope we really do get to do that 20 miles. Now I need it more than ever. It's raining but, hopefully, will clear up soon.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Barb: I want you to know that I am praying for you and your DH. You must be so stressed (((hugs))) I am SO sorry about your uncle, too. Hang in there, we are all here for you and you can vent to us anytime. We are sisters-in-arms.

Abbie: The only way I will ever get into a size 6 is if I add some material or I am hallucinating. Way To Go, Abbie! You're already past your WW goals, you'll be great!

Nikki: Way to stay OP! Water will flush out the sodium, but you and the bathroom will become great friends.:bcb_wink3 I am on day 16 of breakfasts.

Cammie: (((skinny vibes))) for your WI. I can so relate, I don't like sweets, my downfall is chips, the saltier the better. If they are in the house, I'll drink a gallon of water, just to eat 2 servings, because "No one can eat just one..." With all this bike riding, I think you are going to do just fine, you are an inspiration to me when I am riding my bike. The hills are literally kicking my butt.

Ellen: You have an awesome idea with the online menu, could you send a link or copy and paste it to our thread? I need to learn how to do that. I am so undisciplined with my menu. I only eat low or no-fat foods any more, but I don't have a real strategy like that. You are going to make you goals, I am so excited for you!

Sheila: Good job in focussing on the prize. Something to try out, live each day as if it was your first day OP with fresh goals. I think that is exactly what I need to do. When we start something new, we are always gung ho at the beginning and we taper off in our passion (I do, anyways...) It's worth a try.:bcb_smile

Melodee: You are doing an awesome job with your pedometer. :bcb_bravoI am ordering one, too. I wish I would've gotten a digital one. The pedometer that I do have is innaccurate and consistently shows a much higher number than what I count. Melissa gave us a great idea for our oils, make a grilled cheese sandwich using EVOO instead of butter or margarine, with 1 point bread, YUMM!
Have a great evening! MWAH!

Ellen!!!!! I have no idea how I missed your post!!! OP measurement is definitely a better measure than the scale! I hate it! The other day after my HIGH day(Saturday), I weighed the least amount that I have before. Now today, I am up about 3lbs from my wi on Friday! It just doesn't get any better than that!
