Hello all :bcb_happy
I wrote a post last night, hit the submit button....and I don’t know where it went. The only thing that I can think of is I took to long to write it and the site longed me off!! Oh well....:bcb_cry:
I had such a nice time at my in-laws. While there, I had trouble trying to figure my points (because of how my MIL cooks) so I tried to just control my portion sizes....which was hard enough!
The pedometer I got is a Omron. It was very easy to set-up. Do any of you use your daily steps toward your AP's?
I am about to eat and then go for a walk. I will check in later today! :bcb_march
More later!!

Whoever is interested, if you could PM me your personal email address then I can compile a list and then email the list to all of you. That way, if the BCB website ever goes down again, or if we are having trouble with the website we can communicate through email and still stay in touch. I don't know what I would do without my BCB buddies so I thought it would be important to be proactive and prepared!
Melodee: If I remember to put my WW pedometer on and I sometimes use that for my aps. My mom uses hers for her aps every weekend.

:bike:Hi Melodee, I don't think I've met you yet. I think some here have used their steps toward their AP's. I haven't but I sort of thought I might figure out my average daily steps and then count anything OVER that for my APs. I'm waiting for my pedometer so have been thinking about the same types of things. I ordered a Yamax.
Sheila - Melissa hit it right on the head. I went back and read your post. 6 lbs is absolutely amazing. Good to be on track again huh? I'm so proud of you!!!!!
Good morning everyone else! Here's to another OP day!
My bike ride last eve was great. I love riding with DH and that other couple. It's like a date AND exercise. :bcb_bigsm I rode another 4 miles or so to work today. My biking buddies signed up for a Go 100 challenge. You try to log as many miles as you can in the next 100 days and can win prizes. You can do any exercise..they tell you how many minutes = a mile with each one. All four of us on our team got 7 miles last eve already and it was the first day! I also asked a few people at work to join. I think it will help motivate me and maybe help me with that other challenge I signed up for as well. In fact, I probably wouldn't have rode in this a.m. if it had not been for the Go 100 because my DD wasn't getting out of bed and I didn't get to leave when I had hoped to. I decided to just DO IT and got to work, hot and sweaty, w/only 10 minutes to spare. But, I DID IT!!!!! I'm so revved up I can hardly believe this is me!

If you use pedometer steps for AP's....is it like 1 or 2 AP for each mile? How does one figure out the AP's? :bcb_cry:

Does your ped track calories? Someone may want to correct me if I'm wrong but you could count 1 AP for each 50 calories burned?
I just rode to return my movie on my lunch break so I got another 1/2 hour of activity in and 2 more miles to log in for my team. (every 15 min biking counts for 1 mile on this challenge) I rewarded myself w/a coke zero from the video store. :bike:
WHOO HOO! I'd better have a better WI next time.

Sheila - Ditto on what Mellissa said! 6 lbs is HUGE!!! congrats!!!!
Cammie - you are a biking MACHINE!!!!
I'm still doing well here. I seem to fluctuate a lot over the course of the day, and it is frustrating. I've clearly lost some weight as clothes fit better and people are telling me they see it in my face. So that makes me happy. I am on Day 15 now and I can't say it gets tremendously easier, but it is getting a bit better now that I am seeing results. I still have about a long ways to go, but my target is to hit goal by the end of summer.
I'm exercising a decent amount, so that's good! (Nikki - I still haven't done the Amy Bento yet, but soon! It sounds like you're kickin some butt with your exercising!!) I am also finally doing yoga/pilates once a week, which is soo good for my back!
Melissa - You are going to ROCK it in July. I can totally tell. Woohoo for summer vacation!

I think you're all pretty incredible. Personally speaking if I lost 6 pounds, I'd be a screaming yellow zonker! I feel like a lazy slug today reading about all of your accomplishments! I am so glad that I can come to this link and be encouraged and inspired by you all. (Nikki: breakfast are doing ok, no skipping allowed)
Thanks for checking in and telling all of us about your successes!
I wonder how Barb's DH is doing, I prayed for him this morning and for her as well, for strength. She is such a sweet and loving wife to her DH. I prayed for a quick recovery for him.
Blessings,
Melissa

Good evening all :bcb_happy
I had a good points day. Even got in all my water. Still need to eat some fruit! Tomorrow, I am going to the local farmer's market and get some fresh veggies.
Thank you all for the information about the pedometer and AP's :bcb_march
I found the thread where you introduced yourselves, so I spent some time today reading them and getting acquainted with you all. I also posted my intro there too.
Going to get outside and enjoy the nice evening weather!

Wow what a day around here! Sheila!!!!! how in the world did Imiss that incredible loss! Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Melodee- sorry I haven't gotten around to personally introducing myself. I read your introduction in the thread tonight and I think you found the right group to join! I've been a bit in my own world lately but I promise to be more active soon!
So just a quick update on my ongoing saga...DH was in court again today. they finished up and the judge has asked that both Lawyers prepare some documentation on financials and have them to her two weeks from now. She will then make a ruling....so we are still probably looking at a month away. At least the nasty court dates are over, now it's just wait and see. We do have good feelings about the outcome though.
So today my weight dropped back down but I made bad choices today so I anticipate it going back up tomorrow....just in time for WI! Oh well, lesson will be learned. Still I am well below the goal weight so it will be okay.
Hope everyone is doing well....if I don't get a chance to check in tomorrow before I leave, I hope everyone has a great 4rth!!

good evening ladies,
Had a great day today! I woke up early with DBF this morning and then stayed up when he left. I packed all of DS's things for cooperstown, so that is all set. Then at noon DS and I went to my friend Paula's house and went swimming. Her roommate had his two kids so DS was occupied and I got to hang out with my friends which was nice. Then at 5pm I had to rush out of there and get DS to his baseball practice at 6pm. I got in an hour workout at the gym. 45 min cardio and 15 min abs. I did 30 min high intensity on the arc trainer and then 15 min really fast on the bike and then my ab work. I'm really working my abs out every day, hoping for some good results. So I earned 7aps today. I just had some left overs for dinner and had a few snacks but I have 1ap left and I do NOT want to use it. I want to prove to myself that I can go the rest of the night without any snacks. It's 10pm. I"m going to lay down and read. I"m reading Suzanne Northop's "Everything happens for a reason" and it's REALLY good! I just got myself a nice big glass of ice water and i'm hoping that's it for the night. I got all my healthy 8's EXCEPT the oils. NO oils today! But if I'm going to miss one of the 8's occassionally i'm okay with it being oil! :bcb_grin
Abbie: I"m glad that court dates are finally over but too bad you have to wait. HOpefully the financial statements will help out the money situation and things go in your favor!
Melodee: It's nice to have you with us. I had a chance to read your introduction. I love the intro thread because it's all of us in a nut shell but I really learned alot about all of my Go Getter buddies reading it. Welcome to the group!
Lissa: You are too dang sweet girl! I love reading your posts because you are always so encouraging and supportive! (((Hugs)))
Cammie: WOW!!! YOu are really working the bike rideing. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! YOu are going to see fantastic results!
Anna: Thanks for the encouragement. I feel like i'm back to my old self again. WOW, you are rockin it with 15 days. Keep it up! WOOHOO!!!
Nikki: How are you doing girl? How was your day today?
Have a great night everybody! XOXO

Hey ladies! First, before I actually let you know how my day was...
SHEILA.....YOU ROCK!!!!! 6LBS??? YOU ARE DOING AN AWESOME JOB!
Cammie: You are doing an awesome job on that bike girl! I am sure you are racking in tons of APs! Keep up the great work! I love your goal of waiting out your hunger. I had to do that today. I told myself that I could wait until dinner, I had a piece of gum and I did!! Thanks for the inspiration. I think I am really going to focus on that this month because I think it will change my eating habits!
Barb: Still praying for DH! Give us an update if you get a chance!
Anna: I am glad you are starting to see results! That makes all the difference! I am integrating the Abs diet for women in with WW. I think you mentioned that a few months back.
Abbie: I am glad that the court part is over. Don't stress over wi, you are still doing great. You are still trying to settle in to your goal weight status, so don't be so hard on yourself.
Melissa: Its 10 pm and you are having some iced water? GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT! You are doing very good with controlling your nighttime snacking!
Melodee: You are rocking it with the pedometer!! Are you up to 10000 steps yet? Great job on surviving DMIL's house too! That is always hard for me when I go home. It's that good ol' southern food I have to come in contact with. I am sooooo thankful though that the food is not as good here in VA. I would still be at 220lbs!!!!!
Lissa: You are the sweetest!!! Great job on the breakfasts too!
Anyway, I got up this morning at 6 to get my workout done because we were taking the kids to the family film festival. Our movie theater shows free movies two days of the week and we try to get the kids in to at least one. We had to be there at 9 in order to get a seat for the movie starting at 10. Then we went looking at houses because we really want to get out of this apartment then....I went shopping. I got some great things and all of it came out of the Juniors section at Kohls!! I was surprised but I did find some nice things! Then my FIL calls and says he wants to stop by and see the kids since he was passing through so I had to throw dinner together quickly and stretch it out for an additional person. After all of that, I am tired and still need to do my second workout of Jillian Level 3. I will be heading to bed as soon as I hit the showers after that.
I love ALL of you ladies here! It is so refreshing to come and read the thread at the end of a busy day and just become so encouraged by all of you! Please keep coming and posting......FOREVER! That is how long I know I will need you! MWAH!!!

Melodee: I KNOW you can get back to 144! I have done WW without the meetings and it has worked for me. I have just used this forum and it has been enough. I always think though how much more support or how much more weight would I have lost if I had gone to meetings. I think however you feel it works for you....it works. Meetings or not, WW is an awesome program that works if you work it! Keep it up! 144 is not far off for you!!!
When is your wi day?

Melodee, I'm just sitting here thinking of something. About 6 years ago, I got down to 145 lbs. I loved the idea of being 145. Doing WW, I am at 160 and I have been holding steady and guess what? I wear a smaller size than I did when I weighed 145. It just now occurred to me. I may have weighed less, but I am "skinnier" now with the extra 15 lbs. I have been told time and again, not to let the scale get me down, but up to now, I completely forgot that I was down to 145 and still in size 12's. If you are working out, you may not get to 144, but you will get smaller, and isn't that what this is all about ULTIMATELY?
I think that goes for all of us, MYSELF INCLUDED...
HAVE A WONDERFUL NIGHT LADIES, NIKKI SAID IT BEST:
I love ALL of you ladies here! It is so refreshing to come and read the thread at the end of a busy day and just become so encouraged by all of you! Please keep coming and posting......FOREVER! That is how long I know I will need you! MWAH!!!
I LOVE YOU ALL, TOO. YOU GALS HAVE BEEN MY ROCK AND MY MOTIVATION TO CONTINUE.
BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL AND (((((HUGS)))))
