Hi all -
I miss you guys so much. Life at work has been so busy I barely have time to breath (it seems). I AM still alive :bcb_grin:bcb_grin
I have been putting in some longer days (9 - 10 hours) in order to meet some tight timelines. I have been camping with DH on the weekends as my release - getting some much needed rest. I am back on track with my eating. I was not doing well for a while and the scale showed it at my most recent WI (I was up 7.2 pounds!!! :bcb_mad2:bcb_sick:-- through no fault but my own).
I will try to post more often because you all keep me motivated and on track.
Have a wonderful OP day everyone. There are so many new faces, too...great to have you here.

Connie: It is so good to see you. Sorry about all the stress and then the gain. I know that you have the ability to focus and get those pounds off! It is great seeing you here!
Today is Day 5 on this 90 day program. I leave this afternoon to go out of town, but I am taking my videos with me and my weights. I HAVE to do my workout tomorrow! If I can get through this one day at a time and then one week at a time I know I can be successful. Also, no wi for me tomorrow, but I will be able to wi on next Friday.

Good morning buddies. I dragged myself to the gym last night, almost literally, but ended up with a pretty decent workout. This stage is frustrating b/c I haven't been able to complete the A workout. I get to the last 3 exercises and my body is just so beat, one of those is the plank which is hard enough to do at the begining of a work out (hey there's an idea) and then reverse wood chops which I was able to handle last night, but the worst is the body weight matrix (24 squats, 12 lunges, 12 lunge jumps, 24 squat jumps) you're supposed to do those as quick as possible w/ good form, rest, then repeat two more times. That's like a whole workout in itself and I just can't get through it all at once
Somehow I hurt my big toe in the gym last night :bcb_cry: I think I sprained it or something doing one of my one legged exercises where you have to balance. Anyway it hurts SO bad today and is all swollen. So I deffinately won't be running today. I may try to just do the BW matrix tonight as a semi cardio workout.
On the getting up early thing, I think I'm going to go get a cardio video and start working my way into it like 15 minutes at a time until I'm getting up an hour before I have to start getting ready for work, when I hit that hour mark I can start running in the mornings and doing it gradually should give my body time to adjust.
sorry about the novel girls :)
Melissa : On the pita chips, have you thought about portioning them out as soon as you get them into one serving ziploc baggies? That way it may be easier to to control eating the whole bag and you'll still get to enjoy your snack.
Dolphin : The camping sounds divine!! I love camping but we only get to do it about once a year. Hope you can be around more :bcb_smile
Nikki : you snuck in while I was rambling. Good luck while out of town, we'll miss you. I KNOW YOU CAN KEEP UP WITH THOSE WORKOUTS!!!!!

Christen: Maybe you can modify the program you are on. If you are tired or beat, it really means that you are not really helping your body. You are not building any muscles if they are tired and worn out. Especially if you don't have correct form. I think you should just cut some stuff out, but still keep the program challenging but not impossible to do like it is now. You should still find muscle fatigue, but not must give out or wear out!!!
With that being said, I think its great you still pushed yourself to the gym. It is so hard for me lately, but I am really trying to do this Power 90 and see if I can get the results that I see. I know they are possible, but I just have to make it work.

morning all, back from WI with a small loss for the week -.8, but I will take it!
Melissa- I love Christen's idea of portioning out the chips before you begin eatting them. I have done this with a pretzel thing and I count out several bags of 18 and when I want them I take out a baggie and that is all I get!
Christen- Hope your toe is feeling better!
Nikki- you are amazing, I am so proud of you for taking the videos with you- WOW!
Connie- good to see you!
Barb- Congrats on the GREAT loss this week!!!

Good morning Christen, nikki, dolphin girl and all who follow!
I started back walking yesterday and I can tell I haven't been doing it for a couple of weeks.About the 3rd time around I felt exhausted and parts of my legs and butt hurt.I wore my weights on my ankles and I still made myself do another lap.I did feel better afterward.I will work out on total gym today when kids go down for nap.
I just got interupted by my fed ex man. He delivered a new glucose monitor that I had seen in a magazine for free.It is full size new freestyle freedom lite.I really didnt think it would be any good but wow its a nice one.If anyone is diabetic here is the site. www.freestylelite.com (http://www.freestylelite.com) I got a free meter and strips. Now I can't wait to poke my dh when he gets home(LOL)Hope you all have a great op day.:bcb_march:bcb_march

Nikki : I stop at fatigue, it's just frustrating that I'm leaving some exercises out. The ones I'm skipping are easy home exercises though, so I think I'm going to start doing them on the following day, that way I'm still doing them and I won't feel like such a wimp :bcb_grin And the fact that my workouts are lasting longer than DH's is just ridiculous!
Abbie : Way to go on the loss!!
Barb : umm....glad you can look forward to poking your husbad. lol!! Good job on the exercise

Hey Barb,
Thanks for the info, I have a girl friend who was recently diagnosed, but she doesn't have insurance and she is trying to go the all naural route, but she still needs to keep track of her glucose levels, I sent her the info.
Blessings,
Melissa
