Happy Memorial Day Everyone!! I am back and I had a great weekend. I didn't do as bad as I did last week. I kept my hunger in control and didn't overeat. I am back to Core this morning and maybe I can get into the 150s this week, who knows!!

I have lots of exercise on tap for this week too. Now that I am about 15-20lbs away from where I need to be, I am going to start focusing heavily on strength training. My mom gave me some Beachbody Power 90 VHS tapes, but I can't get them recorded to DVD until this upcoming weekend. I have heard so many good things about it so I may give it a try. Also, she gave me a few Slim in 6 tapes as well. AND I got the Jillian Michaels Winning by Losing book from her as well. My main cardio for a few weeks is going to be my running, but my focus will be on getting this jiggly body tight and toned! So I figured next Monday I would take my before picture and get started!!

Thanks Melissa! It looks like we were posting our threads at the same time!!!

I think being OP is important and life gets in the way sometimes, but that is the reality of this lifestyle change we have taken. The difference between now and how it used to be is that now we have learned how to get back on track. Before, we would say," Well, I messed up so I might as well keep eating what I want" OR "Well, I messed up so I will start again some other time"

Good Morning All,

Nikki - Glad you had a great trip and stayed in control. Your plans do look good. Starting tomorrow I plan to start Core too because I am eating way too much processed stuff and my weight has stalled.

Melissa - How was your weekend?

I did so so. Not as good as I could have done though. Had a little too much wine and sorta lost it with the potato crisps. I will not be buying anymore of those for a while. I hope you ladies all have a great day!

Sheila: I thought about you when I did my workout. It was Shaun T's Rockin Body! I really enjoyed it. I know you have HHA's!

Just thought I would re-post my post from this morning since Nikki and I both started the memorial Day thread at the same time...OOPS! LOL

Posted at around 8am.....Good morning buddies,

Well I"m sorry I was MIA all weekend, but It looks like almost EVERYBODY was. LOL...guess it was a busy memorial day weekend for everybody. I am happy to say that I had a 2.8 loss this saturday. :bcb_bigsm

Saturday I sang at my friends wedding. I was very good, I only had 3 drinks and my malibu bay breezes are small and only 3pts each :bcb_up So I only wasted 9 pts on drinks. I only ate two meals this day...DBF and I went to 99 and I had a strawberry lemonade, shared toasted ravioli with him, had a salad and shared turkey tips with him and only ate about 6 french fries, after my brunch, which was 16 points, I ate at the wedding around 6:30pm, yankee pot roast, salad, green beans, roasted potatoes and 2 bites of cake which put me over points by 15. I did do alot of dancing and earned about 2 aps, which means I had to use 13 waps. Yesterday, I still stayed within my waps, eating go lean waffles for 4pts for breakfast, totally skipping lunch but being starving (NOT GOOD) and I was going to see my friend in a show that was 3 hours long....so I ate the rest of my swedish fish that were in the car and bought a bag of pita chips w/ sea salt and drank a 1/2 a pepsi.... 29pts later....:bcb_blush that was my lunch. When I got home my mom and I and DBF ate pork tenderloin for dinner w/ sushi rice and corn on the cob. I went over my daily points by 18..and did NO exercise because I was busy all day...so that only leaves me with 4 waps left for my memorial day picnic today. I will have to go for a walk or something to earn some aps. Otherwise, today will probably be a NON OP day! :bcb_mad2

Surprisingly enough, I got on the scale this morning and my weight was about .4 lower than it was on Saturday! Go figure!!! Today will be a good day, we have fruit, salad, low point turkey burgers, 1pt hot dogs, FF chips and i'm making empenadas and salsa and my mom is making turkey kielbasa...so it shouldn't be too bad. We do have crackers but we got laughing cow cheese wedges. If I do go over it won't be by much...I will be good today! :bcb_up


I hope everybody enjoys their memorial day and had a great weekend. Back to work tomorrow and back to my strick schedule of working out and planning menu's. But only for 4 days this week. I hope I can still have a good loss on Saturday!

NIKKI: WOOHOO....awesome loss last week! 2.3 is FANTASTIC! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

Lissa: I was right there with you last week with being off program. YOu know what you have to do, so just do it. Get back on track and this week will be a good week for you. Plan your meals, plan your exercise and get to you. IF I CAN DO IT>>>>>YOU CAN DO IT.

So far so good today! It's about 3:40pm right now and the day is going great. It's soooo beautiful outside today, i'm getting alot of color because we've been sitting outside ALLL day! :bcb_up God I love this weather!

Well, I found a vcr on craigslist for 7 bucks and I am going to pick it up tonight. We got rid of ours without remembering that we needed it to use with our dvd recorder when trying to convert vcr tapes to dvd! I can't wait to start power 90. I really want to be able to keep up with it. Even though my mom gave me the tapes she had, I had to order 2 more that was needed for the program. I got them for 2 bucks off of Amazon Marketplace. 7 in all with shipping. I think its a great deal. I am going to call it power 30 and re-evaluate after each 30 days. I have to take day 1 pics then 30, 60 90 so I can't wait to see what they will look like.

I really like how my eating is going right now. I stick to Core during the week and use my WPAs over the weekend. I try to stick to Core breakfasts as much as possible and lunch, but for dinner I use my WPAs. This weekend was better than last weekend, so I hope to continue to make progress.

I am a very basic Core eater. I don't like the bulgar, quinoa and all that other type stuff. I just make whatever I would normally eat on Flex....Core. I nix the bread and white rice, eat brown rice and ww pasta. Lots of chicken...LOTS of chicken, pork once a week and beef here and there. Veggies and fruit galore and its working for me. I hope I can have a decent loss this week too. I really want to get into the 150s. It will be a huge milestone for me. It will be the lowest weight on this weight loss journey thus far! So, 2.5 is asking a bit much for next wi, but a 1.5lb loss will be great! That is what I am aiming for!!

I hope after the holiday is over, I will see more of my Goal Getters!! I miss you ladies!!

Melissa: GREAT JOB on YOUR loss!!!!! Onederland is right around the corner! Let's get to the planning and exercising and get there already!!!!!!when I got to Onederland, I started a countdown to the 180s, and 170s, etc. But I also did a countdown with less than 30, less than 20, etc to go!! It was fun and it was small goals that I was excited to reach!!!


Lissa: Your menu from breakfast really made me hungry!!! I think a hearty breakfast will be what I use my points on this weekend!!!! Now, let's get back on track and get OUT of the 160s!!!!!! What is your goal weight anyway????

Sheila: How did your day go today? Did you stay OP?

Nikki - I'm so glad Core is working for you! You already have the exercise down pat, so now that eating is too, you're gonna be in the 150s in NO TIME! Let's plan those shopping trips!!

Sheila - Don't worry about those crisps! You are in control...cruise that car girl!

Melissa - WTG on the 2.8 loss! Onederland is so close!!! :bcb_bigsm

I'm going to get back into my Jillian DVDs..I need to. I did a 5 miler in the park yesterday and walked all afternoon. Today, I did 30 min of elliptical, 20 min sculpt, and walked 4 hours. Eating has been good for 2 days now, so i feel much better!!

Hi all, sorry so late getting around to posting, hope everyone had a great day!

It's going to be a super hectic week for me again so I will be scarce, but try to check in every night. I am determined to make goal this week...as of this morning I weighed in at 138, which means to make goal of 137 (and weighing with clothes) I will need to lose another 1.6. But I wont be able to make my usual meeting so I will have until Saturday if I need it to get to 137 and WI. What is going to make it super difficult, is I will be in class Tues- Thurs. and they will be providing lunches, so I will have no input. I do plan on bringing some of my salad dressing with me though in case I need it. I really have to make it this week so I can be finished with maintenance by the time I start vacation. I really want to be able to go without having a final WI hanging over my head!

Nikki- the 150's are calling you!!! So glad core is making things work again for you!!!

Melissa- YAY YOU! 2.8 is AWESOME!!! I am definitely going to push it hard this week for the black team- I know you will be too!

Anna- AWESOME job on two good days!!!

Sheila- Forget the chips, you are gonna have a GREAT week!!

I meant to post about my new favorite nightly snack....

1 WW 2 pt icecream cup
1/2 cup skim
1 banana

Blended into a milkshake. 4 pts, which is kind of high for a nightly snack for me, but I get a dairy and a F/v serving out of it....and it's good!
