good morning everybody,
Well yesterday was a good Op day. I didn't get to the gym after work as planned because I was so tired and my body was ACHING from all the hard exercise so far this week. My body was asking for a break, so I gave it one. We had a delicious dinner. Chicken stir fry with sushi rice. The stir fry had chicken, snow peas, mushroom, carrots, water chestnuts, red adn green peppers and onions. It was sooooo good. I"m not a huge vegetable fan, but man, with the rice and the sesame oil and everything still a little crispy, it is soooooo good!
I posted my menu on the journaling thread. Still had a few unnecessary snacks at night like chips and M&M's but I didn't have too many, so i'm still within my WAP's.
Barbara: I hope weigh in went well for you!
Christen: Way to go with the workout! YOu are doing GREAT!!!
Nikki: Looks like you are doing really well with core. Keep up the awesome job. I have turbo jam and love it! It is a great workout!
Sheila: i'm with you girl, only I could never go without eating after 7:30pm...my problem is usually around 9pm or later. Because alot of times I eat dinner late because of DS's sports. So my challenge would be to eat NOTHING after 9pm! Mostly because i'm usually up until about 11pm or midnight!
Shelly: 100 degrees? Yikes! I wish it would get sunny here and the rain would stop. I'd like some consistent high 70's or 80's but NOT 100 degrees. Good luck with that weather! No Thank you!
Abbie: We are definitely missing you when you're not here! That's awesome about the bathing suits. I never used to have a problem with my thighs, but this last time that I gained my weigh back and then some, my thighs got it, for the first time. Now I have alot of work to get those inner thighs into shape. So I know how you feel. I actually get a bathing suit and wear those short board shorts with them all the time! I love them!
Okay ladies, I must get going. Have a great OP day today!

Good morning Melissa and all to follow!
Well wi was ok -.5 :bcb_huh:It was a slow go but a loss is a loss.Well this week end is my family reunion and I sure was hoping for onederland by then but unless I magically drop 4 lbs in 3 days it ain't gonna happen.
I go to lousiville ky next week end for bowling tourney so Im trying to get ready for that.I bowled good again last night.:bcb_grinI feel like I am ready to win some good money @ the tournament.:bcb_wink3DH sured looked depressed watching us bowl.He Hates not bowling and just watching. He is going to try and throw a few balls next week to see if he can(CAN YOU SAY HARD HEADED).I would do the same so cant really blame him.He says if he is not able to bowl in tournament he will go to the casino thats close to it.
Have a great op day everyone.
Mellisa: American Idol omg David A. was awesome (IMO).David cook was also very good.I know they both will have contracts but I hope David A. wins he is so humble.:bcb_march:bcb_march

I have had thunder thighs since elementry school. Marching w/ the tuba through HS didn't help any. I always chalked it up to genetics. Even at my lowest weight I still had flabby thighs and arms. But ladies I'm telling you, if you really want to work on those thighs or arm wings, and you don't mind a good weight lifting program, check out the book The New Rules of Lifting for Women by Lou Schuler. For the first time in my life my thighs are shaping into something I can be proud of and I still have a good 20lbs to lose! It's not an easy program (though the first couple workouts in stage 1 aren't too bad) but with every stage progression you feel tiny new muscles you never knew you had. And off my soap box :)
So I'm a little distressed w/ the scale this week. I'm a daily weigher and I usually don't let the fluctuations get to me. That said I know my normal fluctuations and this isn't normal. It's up and staying up (like my whole loss last week plus some) Now I did use a hearty chunck of WPA's Sunday night for pizza (2 slices) but I've been completely OP other than that, getting my water and H8's. So if anyone gets the urge feel free to take a look at my menu and let me know if anything is shouting at you. I've even been under the recomended daily sodium intake every day. I drinking water and tea w/ lemon only w/ an occasional splenda. Today I switched from caffienated to herbal tea. I want another loss this week but if nothing else I at least want to keep what I earned last week. I keep telling myself all the normal things I would tell someone else but it isn't working. The new workout Monday night still has my muscles aching so maybe it really is water retention from muscle repair, but I don't usually see this much for this long. Oh and I decided today to try to work a few foods in that I don't normally eat (hence the oatmeal) so maybe that'll help.
all done now, sorry for the book :bcb_blush
Barbara : Good luck in the tourny!
Melissa : Good job tracking your snacks!

Good morning ladies. I've been MIA. Just can't seem to find time to get on the computer! I had WI yesterday and stayed the same. That isn't good since I had a huge gain last week. However, I don't feel as overwhelmed with everything this week, have less going on and feel I can really focus on getting that scale going in the right direction. I finally got my Body for Life workbook put together and am doing that with a couple of good friends. That will definitely help. It's a strong workout program...maybe like Lou Schulers? I'll have to check that out though. Sounds interesting.
Christen - Hang in there. We don't always know why that scale won't budge. We just have to keep working in and eventually, it will move!
Barb - I know how DH feels. That's how I feel about running. I have to read back and see why he can't bowl. His team lost? If so, that's a little different than my running deal. I have physical limitations so I can't run. Anywho, enjoy the tourney and I hope you come back with some cash!
Melissa - I see you're still doing great! How many days of school left? My kids have 5 not counting today.
Hi everyone else! I'll have to read back through the daily threads to see what's going on with everyone!

Good morning workin mom!
DH had a car wreck and broke his collarbone last week.He is in a lot of pain but meds help.He can't stand not being able to bowl.We did win without him so he shouldn't feel to bad. Thanks for asking!
Hey Christen!

Not like Lou's if the weight training page on the website is any indication. The new rules workouts don't use ANY machines for legs, which I think is one of the reasons it's so effective. I've done about 5 different variations of lunges through the programs so far. A lot of the exercises in the more advanced stages are actually balancing on one leg while doing upper body, which brings a lot of little muscles into play. There are also no isolation exercises in the new rules workouts (like bicep curls, tricep extensions) they use more natural movements and compound exercises. The book explains the reasoning for all that and also a lot of good info on how the muscles from your ankle to your neck are all interconnected. Just a very eye opening read. Not to say it's the only program that will work, I'm just completely in love with it right now :bcb_smile My favorite part though is that every 4-6 weeks the program completely changes so it keeps me interested and achy.

Barb - I read back and see more details of why DH can't bowl. I'm so sorry and glad that will gladly pray for his recovery. I guess my running situation isn't really like his at all. That's what I get for responding when I'm not caught up on things around here. LOL
Sheila - Thanks for missing me when I was not able to post. Made me feel warm and fuzzy knowing someone missed me! :buddysmoo

hey ladies!! Things are really busy my way, but I have been doing Core this week to do a little damage control. So far, things are going well. I have been working out pretty good. I didn't workout yesterday because I was pretty tired, but I have already earned 8APs today and plan on earning another 2 with Jillian if possible.
I tried to plan my workouts for the month, but I am so up in the air everyday that I figured I would just go with how I felt. Right now, I am on a Turbo Jam kick. That is probably for this week only, then I will check through my vids again and see what I want to do.
I hope everyone is doing great
Barb: I hope DH is doing okay now and gets better soon!
Ellen: How is mama doing?
Cammie: Is dd back to feeling better now?
Sheila: Can't wait to hear how your week is going. I hope you have a great wi on Friday! ((skinny vibes)) to both of us!
Melissa: I knew you could get back on the wagon with no problems! I used to have the same problems with night snacking, but after 8 I can't eat anything other than a fruit(grapes usually) or a veggie. It took some willpower and some days of not making it in order to accomplish it. After a while, it was automatic and I never really craved anything after that time anymore! you are doing great!
Christen: How is the running coming? I didn't get in my long run over the weekend and missed my run yesterday. I did a short 2.5mile this morning and will run for the next two days. i am going out of town over the weekend and getting a chance to run or wanting to run is not likely. I think I am going to skip up a week or two on my running plan just so I will be good and ready for the half in August.
Abbie: Bathing suit shopping??WOW!! That is so exciting!! I am excited for bathing suit season...NEXT YEAR!! I know I will be comfy by then, but this summer I don't think it will happen. I am so proud of you! Don't get too lax right now. You only have a few more lbs and then voila!! GOAL!!!!!
MissyBee, Missilissa, Irene, Anna, Connie, Shelly and anyone else I have missed... We hope to hear from you soon!

Hello ladies,
Hope everyone's day went well. I've been busy today but have been OP.
Nikki - All is well so far and I hope we both have a good W/I on Friday. Enjoy your TJ workout! I have to get myself back to FIRMing more in addition to all the walking I'm doing. I really need to focus on my core area now.
Cammie - I'm glad you're doing okay and that you've got your BFL progam in place. I'm sure once you start it, the weight will melt off.
Melissa - Let's challenge ourselves next week on the not eating after 9:30 for you and 7:30 for me to see if we can do it for a week
WOOHOO Abbie - Swimsuit shopping!! It must feel mighty good!
Hi  Ellen, Barbara, Christen & Missilissa
So far my day has gone well. Today I'm trying to stay away from sugary snacks because I think I'm using too many pts for them. Earlier I did a 1.5 mi walk and now I'm about to go and do The Firm's High Def Sculpt.
I'll check back later tonight.

Hi gals,
It's great to see all of you doing so well and posting so much.
Sorry I haven't been around. It has been really difficult dealing with the binges, and most of the time, I just don't want to talk about it. I don't know what happened to my motivation. It's always that vicious cycle of start and restarting. I'm taking a vacation in a month, so that should help. In the meantime, just trying to hang in there.

Hi--well the packing ladies came today and made short work of the first floor. The entire DR, LR and family room are packed up except for the furniture to sit on. The packed up storage stuff in the basement too. Boxes everywhere. Tomorrow they will do the office area and bookshelves in the bedrooms, linen closets, etc. upstairs, including marking all boxes in attic as to where they will go next for the movers. They will return on Tuesday to pack up food, clothes and stuff that the movers can't store for 2 weeks, then on June 12, they come to the new house and undo it all...Yikes! it's really happening! Last day here is May 28; closing in May 29...then to grandmas houses--wonder how we'll all fare split up like that. My mother overdoes, his mother underdoes. If only we could blend them! :bcb_grin
Can't talk about eating--it is up and down.
Anna, I feel your pain and am here to support you in getting back on track
Nikki--Mom is doing great--just got the report from the GI guy today telling her what he said on the phone--it is benign!!! Thanks for asking.
Hi to everyone. About to jump into the shower (finally!) so will try to get back later.

While I am thinking about it I have a question for anyone that eats the boca burgers or similar items....do they count towards vegetables for the day....and if so how much? I have fallen in love with a black bean burger for 1 pt. Tastes nothing like a burger though-lol. But I like to eat them with FF sourcream and salsa!
Christen- are these exercises you can do at home, or do you need a gym?
Ellen- hang in there, your new house will be ready for you before you know it!
Anna!- Glad to see you! I know what you mean about vacation, I am just hanging on right now ready for mine to get here!
Sheila- WTG on the exercise today! My motivation has kinda gone right now but when things slow a little I am sure I will jump back in. May check out the book Christen mentioned to get started.
Nikki- you're right about me getting too lax right now. Unfortunately this week has been pretty much a wash, I may have a slight loss tomorrow, but it will be SLIGHT! Mentally I am at goal and I want to eat that way....I know I can maintain, but I gotta get just a little more off before then!

Hi Girls,
sorry i have been missing lately...i have been soul searching & learning...
one thing i did learn (Melissa thanks for making me look in to this more)
the min.points anyone can ever have with WW is 18...so i get 2 more per day...this is a good thing cuz i think my body was not getting enough food to make it loose...i did have a slight loss this week 0.4...I also really listened and understood the following statement..
If it does not fall from a tree or grow from the ground or have a mother....why are we eating it...
I looked at my journal and i have been eating to much processed foods...
I need to try to follow the above statement more.... I was able to listen and you can down load Jillian Michaels ...love her...she had Ali on one week and Bernie the BL from home.......she has taught me alot.....
Abbie: i love boca burgers...never thought of counting them for veggies..
what brand are you eating...black bean sounds good.
Melissa: thanks for making me review the process of points
Hi Nikki and Shelia....I am getting to know all of you better...thanks so much for letting me jump in...I like the daily thread......
Have a nice evening......

Hi Havasubuddy - It's nice to have you join us :) Glad you got your pts allowance right; I know you must be happy to have those extra 2 per day. You are so right that if you don't give the body enough, it will hold on to the weight. Congrats on your loss 0.4 :jump_jack
Abbie - Hopefully you'll have a loss this week ((((skinny vibes))))
Hi Anna  I totally can relate to where you are. I too have a problem with binging. I am working real hard to control the urges but sometimes it seems almost impossible to do. Believe it or not, what helps me to stay in control is exercise.
Ellen - I know you can't wait 'til you're settled into your new home and everything is back to normal. Just do the best you can until then. Glad everything checked out okay with your Mom.
I got my FIRM workout in this evening and I also did a little more work in the yard, raking & planting flowers. I worked my abs with my FIRM workout and they are already sore. I can imagine what they'll feel like in the morning!
I hope everyone is having a great evening.

I could have sworn that I posted today. I read every ones post and then I read: Melissa , hope to hear from you soon
It made me wonder what I did today. Sorry for the neglect. I hope everyone is having a great OP day. My day has been dismal, rain and very cold. Yesterday I had the AC on because it was 90 and today, it is so cold that I stayed home from the gym... I know :bcb_kick: kick my booty, but tomorrow I am going and I may stay and sit in the Jacuzzi just to warm my cold bones.
Have a great rest of your day.
Blessings,

Good evening ladies,
I had a great OP day today! I only had to use 1.5 waps......ate some stupid caramel popcorn at DS's baseball game. UGH! But at least I went for a 40 min walk (went up to HUGE hills, and did 3 rounds of running up these man made steps 35-40 of them, at the park where he plays baseball). It felt great, I was sweating and really getting a great workout. I also laid on the grass and did 200 different types of crunches! :bcb_up YAY me!!!
I am challenging myself to NOT eat anything tonight! Not one bite....dinner is over and I had my night time snack and THAT'S IT!!! I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow! *fingers crossed*
I was watching American Idol tonight....love it! It was a pretty good show tonight. YAY David Cook!!! I really liked David Archuletta, but he was so shy and didn't have the personality that David cook had. He was a definite sweetie, but if he said "Oh My Gosh" one more time I was going to scream. LOL, but I LOVE His voice and will definitely buy his CD because i'm SURE he's going to get a contract! I can't wait for So You Think You Can Dance premiere tomorrow night! :bcb_up
I don't have enough time for personals tonight! This week is soo busy for me and i'm exhausted. DS had a baseball game today, has baseball practice tomorrow (i'm going to go to the gym while he is at practice :bcb_up), and then Friday night he has another game. I have to drop him off and have my mom pick him up because I have a wedding rehearsal to be at for 5pm, then Saturday my friend is getting married and i'm singing in her wedding, Sunday I am going to see my friend in The Full Monty and the Monday is our family Memorial Day Picnic. Its' at my house, so at least we have control over the menu! I'm sure my mom will make sure everything is nice and WW friendly! Ahhh, the benefits of living with mom and having her do WW with you! :bcb_grin
I do want to say to SHEILA: I'm sooooo up for the challenge of not eating after 9:00pm. WE CAN DO IT!!
Christen: Thanks for posting that book title. I"m am defintily going to look for it!
Nikki: I'm going to try the fruit or veggie at night. That might be helpful, also I used to eat a bowl of cereal at night and that was very satisfying for me too!
Have a great OP day tomorrow everybody! XOXO
