Good Morning and Happy Friday!!!
I'm getting an early start this morning, heading to Stone Mtn to get in a quick walk before I go to WW. I'm anxious to know if I lost anything this week. I'm getting used to not weighing between meetings now. I think this way is better for me.
I'll report back as soon as I return from WW.
Melissa - Yes Stone Mtn is a beautiful place and since I'm a nature lover, I just love being there.
Ellen - I'm glad everything was okay with your Mom.
Have a great OP day everyone.

Good morning all!
Well I knew I was feeling to god yesterday.DH called around 10:am He was in the hospital IN nashville. He had a wreck and broke his clavical bone and cut him up quite a bit.He is home And sleeping now thanks to pain meds.I guess I know we are quite obsessed with bowling when his major concern is if he will be able to bowl in tourny in ky coming up in 2 1/2 wks.He will have to go to a specialist to see if he will need a metal plate put in.
Gotta go be back later!

Barb : How scary! Glad your husband is OK for the most part.
Dinner last night w/ the family was nice though the service was VERY slow and we didn't get home until 11:00 (we left right after work at 5:00) :bcb_down and I didn't get my workout in bcb_sad I have to tonight though, I'm going to do my strength training followed by run intervals on the treadmill which is cool b/c I'm supposed to follow up my 'B" workout w/ intervals anyway. I did pretty well at dinner, counting out my chip allotment for 3pts and ordered grilled tilapia w/ sauteed veggies and asked them to hold the cheese sauce. My BIL kept teasing me about all the water I was drinking and then he lost it when I said I have enough points to sample the two deserts on the table :bcb_grin all in good humor though. It was all pretty high is sodium which I am sure of since I couldn't budge my wedding ring this morning my hands were so swollen, despite drinking nearly 4 huge glasses of water while we were there. So I'm chugging the water and tea and lemon today so I can have a happy w/i tomorrow morning. Going to try to pick the truck up from the shop tonight if I can get off work a tad early to take DH in to get it.

Hey ladies! Hope you all have a great weekend! Really busy today!
Wi was down 0.5, which is good....but not enough for me. I have been moving really slow. But after Mothers day, I am glad that it wasn't up. I didn't get to workout yesterday.....too much! I will catch everyone up later with all the craziness!
((((hugs and skinny vibes to all!)))))

Hello ladies,
Barbara - I'm glad your husband is doing okay! That must have been a scare for you.
Nikki - CONGRATS ON YOUR LOSS THIS WEEK!!!
Christen - Glad you enjoyed your dinner last night! Hopefully the lemon water is helping combat the sodium.
Well I was really bummed this morning when my W/I had me up .6!!! I'm sure it's because of all the exercise I did this week but it's still frustrating when you exercise so much and follow the plan and you have a GAIN!!!! My clothes are looser so I know I'm shrinking. I really wish I didn't have to weigh but once a month.
In addition to the gain, I have another stressful situation I'm dealing with today! Squirrels have chewed a hole in the siding on my house and have gotten into the wall. I am afraid they will damage the electrical wiring or get inside. I am terrified of the things! I have been calling around to various pest control companies and I can't believe how expensive they are. I have someone coming tomorrow morning to get them out. I can't stand the sound of them in the wall and it's driving me crazy. I am fighting the urge to munch right now.
I need to bake 2 cakes this afternoon but I don't know if I can trust myself with them right now. A friend of mine is having a cookout tomorrow and he asked me to make this cake that he really likes. I guess I just need to regroup and stay in control and get over the gain.
I hope everyone else's day is going better than mine.

Sorry about the gain and the squirrels Sheila! I thought my day would get better then DH called me and said we needed 2 new front tires....we have an SUV, so that ended up being about 400 bucks.(sighs) I sure hope next week brings us all some JOY!!

Well, sorry I wasn't here earlier--we were at DD's college graduation-- and it was wonderful! We've had 2 days of miserable rainy weather and today was just perfect--perfect! There wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was lovely, sunny and cool when it started at 8:30 AM. We were done by 10:30 and she picked up her diploma--it's official, she is an alumna! What an exciting moment; I didn't cry but I admit that it gave me a lump in my throat and a funny feeling to know she is really grown--how did this happen? She was my little sweet baby girl...Dinner tonight with the family and it should be a fun celebration.
Nikki--good for you!
Sheila--don't sweat it--your exercise will show up next week for sure.
Barbara--glad to hear DH is thinking about more than his accident. :bcb_wink3 Pretty scary to think about.
Got to run--wrap the graduation present.

Yep Nikki - I hope next week is better for both of us! I just can't wait to get those critters out of my space. I'm sure my weight will go down next week. I will eat more Core foods and less treats. I will also try and eat more APs.
Ellen - Enjoy your dinner with the family tonight. When I bake my cakes I will think of you and your strong willpower when you bake your desserts!
Abbie - I'm going to read your post now on your uncle.

Well I"m sure to expect a large gain this week, not even sure if i'm going to go to Weigh in at this point, if I don't, i'm using a pass. I had TOM this week, and I put my guard down for a day, and that ruined it for me. I ate some things that I haven't had since December and it was down hill from there. Tomorrow starts a new week and I have to sit down and come up with a game plan to have a good weigh in next week. I have to plan my menu's and plan my exercise and stick to it. I lost 7lbs these past two weeks and i knew it was a fluke because I was so sick and wasn't really eating too much and then as soon as I started to feel better, the eating was NON STOP. UGH!!! How frustrating, disappointing and embarassing. The weather has been AWFUL this week, rainy and gloomy which hasn't helped with my motivation to get exercise in too much. I also haven't been posting here because i've been doing so awful and I hate posting when my eating isn't good....everybody tells me how much I rock and how great i'm doing, when I know that this week I've been QUITE the opposite. :bcb_blush But I am not going to let it get me down for next week. I need to get my motivation back, exercise and plan my menu's! (((skinny vibes))) for anybody weighing in tomorrow and sunday!
This week was pretty hectic for me and then DBF came to visit me last night. I was eating chips and he got mad at me. He yelled at me (seriously and jokingly at the same time) and then he emailed me today and told me that I better not be eating poorly again today. He said I looked AWESOME and feel AWESOME and I better not ruin it by cheating and eating awful food because then I will be so upset with myself. He said you are doing so well and you need to keep going and reach you're goal. YOu can do it! Awwww, I was so happy to hear that. Do you think it helped tonight for dinner? NOPE< took DS to friendly's! UGH!!! No more, i'm done....right this second!!! Okay, i'm off to do some crunches and other exercises, I feel so sick and never should have eaten ice cream and greasy food from Friendly's. NEVER AGAIN!!!! :bcb_mad2
Nikki: Hey, a loss is a loss girl. I know it's frustrating when you lose slow, but as long as the scale continues to move in the right direction, you're on track! :bcb_up
Sheila: You've been doing INCREDIBLE So don't let a .6 gain get you down. You'll lose that no problem next week. I'm sure there is some reason why it's there, a gain that small can really be anything. Keep up the great work! THAT TRUL SUCKS about the squirrels! I hope you can do something about them ASAP.
Diva: Welcome to the group!
Ellen: LOL, you are so cute! I will be the same way when that is my DS one day! I think that now when I see him with his friends, and liking girls for the first time! I tell him "My baby's growing up" and he's like MOOOOOOM!! LOL I'm so glad that the day was wonderful for you! So happy to hear about your mom too! XOXO
Christen: Looks like you did well at the restaurant the other night! How did your workout go tonight?
Barbara: OH MY GOODNESS! I hope DH will be alright. LOL About him worrying about bowling, but that should be the least of his worries. A metal plate? This must have been serious. What kind of accident did he get into? Car?
Abbie: WoOHOO!!! YOu're loss was awesome this week. YOu go girl...you are so close to your goal!
Hope everyone else is doing well! (((Skinny vibes))) for anybody weighing in tomorrow and sunday!

TWdiva, :welcome::welcome::welcome: post often with us, you will find that these ladies are a great source of encouragement and help when we need it :bcb_kick:
Barb, I am so sorry to hear about your DH. I am praying for him and I will also be praying for your finances. It seems that accidents tend to hit us in the pocket book as well. Keep us posted, please. BTW, I am learning how to bowl, my GF is insistent that we start bowling together.
Christen, I had a similar experience when my DH took me to the Olive Garden. The entire time that we were there was about 3 1/2 hours. The waiter got our order wrong, never gave us our appetizers, and he kept forgetting us.:bcb_mad2 I found out that the poor guy was in training. I don't think he should've been trained on a Friday night. Have a good workout!
Nikki, good for you! I firmly believe that any loss is a loss in the right direction. My weight is still fluctuating but the body size is getting smaller so I am not going to let the scale beat me. You are striving for a lifetime goal, remember that.
Sheila, You can do it! I had to make brownies and I kept telling myself that I am an over comer. You are an over comer, too. I think that I would be FREAKED OUT by the squirrels, too. I hope to hear that you got rid of them.
Abby, I hope that everything goes well with your Uncle. I will look for the special care thread and I will also pray for him.
Ellen, you brat! :bcb_wink3 You made me cry! No, I am not hormonal today. I can so relate. My DD graduated from HS last year and she is in Dental school. It seems like it was just yesterday that my DH and I were trying to have a baby...
Melissa, quit beating yourself. Just pick yourself up from where you are and start over, that's what it's all about. I believe in you and it sounds like your DBF does, too. He sounds like a great guy, cheering you on that way. My DH is the same way, you are blessed.
Ladies: My mom has always told me this, "You didn't get into this shape over night and it isn't going to be over night that you lose it all." It has been good advice for me over the years when I gradually put it back on and I needed to take it off AGAIN. Now because of all of you, I hope that I don't have to lose it all again. I hope that this stays my life style.
Blessings to you all!
Melissa

Thanks Melissa. I know that this is bound to happen from time to time, but i'm so close to Onederland that I'm wishing I had a week like this AFTER I hit that goal! FRUSTRATING that's all! Yes, DBF is wonderful and he is very sweet and supportive. I am lucky to have him! Tomorrow is a new day and a new week....I will be good!!! :bcb_up

:welcome: twdiva - We look forward to getting to know you!
Melissa - Your mom is so right and I have to keep reminding myself that It's gonna take time to lose this weight. We're all so anxious to get to our goals but we have to be patient.
YES I CAN DO IT! One of the cakes in in the oven now and I WILL NOT sample it. I will also make a dessert that is low in pts for tomorrow night.
Nikki - How was DDs recital? I'm sure she did very well. I was invited to my friend's daughter's music recital tonight but I was too busy to make it. She plays the violin.
Yeah ladies, It's driving me crazy knowing that those critters are in my wall!!! I can't wait 'til the critter folks come tomorrow.
Have a great evening ladies and I'll check in tomorrow.

Sheila--do you have "Critter Control"? I thought they were a franchise, but maybe it's just here. They were great getting rid of squirrels in the attic. STEP AWAY FROM THE CAKES! :bcb_drill
Melissa--So you're not a saint--but pretty darn close. Back on the wagon and don't fret!
TWdiva--glad to meet you --come by often!
Missilissa--you are so funny! It did kind of choke me up--it's so weird to see your kids grown up. DS got this short haircut and looks so manly. I love seeing him this summer. Wonder why some girl doesn't think he is the best thing ever...careful what I wish for...
Dinner was just wonderful. DD tries to be so stoic and rarely cries unless she is mad, but we (accidently) made her cry tonight--I guess it was a success! :bcb_grin We gave her a new laptop since hers has been crashing regularly; DMIL gave her a cameo ring that had belonged to MILs grandmother and MIL is 84! and some pretty jet beads. DD loved them both! She is into vintage and classic and fashion, so it was the perfect gift. My mom gave her some money and a pretty fleur-de-lis bracelet embossed with crystals--the fleur-de-lis is the symbol of her sorority and of St. Louis. My sis and BIL gave her a cute glass decanter and 2 glasses also embossed with fleur-de-lis. She was overwhelmed. We belong to a tennnis club and that is where we had dinner. They knew the party was for her graduation and brought out a special dessert-- They wrote Congratulations, Class of 2008 in chocolate around the edges of the huge plate and there was some special dessert with white choc mousse and raspberry sorbet together in the center of the plate. Very pretty with streaks of strawberry sauce on the plate and some fresh berries to garnish. We were all surprised by that. I had ordered a bouquet of flowers in her school colors for the table and they are very pretty--red roses and gerber daisies with bells of Ireland and other green toned flowers and leaves. So, she is going out with her friends probably for the last time for a long time--most are going home tomorrow to wherever they are from. Her "special" friend (can't say he is her boyfriend, but she is kind of bossy (and has been since she was little) and his name is Moss, so they called them Moss and "Boss"!) and his mother who is still in town will have dinner with us tomorrow night. I think now that all the school festivities are over it is really hitting her that life will go on without college and they will all be separated. Should be an intersting year. One funny thing: today while we were at graduation, the home owner sent us a phone message saying they can move in early June (Yippee!!!) and when we told DD she was shouting and happy and said this is the best graduation present you could give me--so DS#2 deadpans to me later, "I guess you can take the computer back to the store!" He has a funny sense of humor :bcb_grin
OK, off to bed. DS and I are going to a college seminar at school tomorrow from 9-12. Then I'm going to the gym for hours!!! got o make up for the eating out that has gone on the last 2 days!
