Good morning!
Thought I would come and get us started.I feel so good this morning and Don't really know why.I got another compliment yesterday.I went to our local pro shop with dh and the lady there said are you still losing weight? You are looking so good.:bcb_grinShe has never mentioned my weight before and she asked how I was doing it.Any way I finally went bra shopping and I was down a couple of sizes and bought the matching panties(I havent done that in a lot of years.)It sure felt good to have matching underclothes and not the big mama(LOL) kind.
Hope everyone has a great op day.
I have been journaling all week so far so your kicks are helping.:bcb_up I also already rode my stationary bike this morning .I have been neglecting it.:bcb_salut:bcb_march

Good Morning!

Barb: I LOVE bra and panty shopping now. Actually, I need to be refitted for a bra. So far with this whole journey, I have gone from a DDD to a D, but I got fitted a few months ago and the lady said I was a C now. I wasn't ready to purchase because I wanted to get some more weight off. But, I really need to go and get some more bras so C's it will be for me!

Great job on getting all the compliments!! And great job for tackling the bike already this morning!

I woke up this morning with a horrible headache and my stomach looks like I am about 5 months pregnant! I went ahead and started with the green tea and lemon so I hope it helps a bit. I have 8APs scheduled for today. i didn't get a chance to do my speed training on the tread this morning so I have to make it up tomorrow morning and my long run is Saturday!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning. I'm having a junky couple of days which is messing w/ my exercise mojo. I took another rest last night, so I've readjusted my week. I have one more workout on this stage of my strength program, and then I'm supposed to take a week off afterwards, but since I've been doing periodic rests I think I'll finish this stage and just jump right into st3 on Monday.

The truck is done...but the mechanic took it upon himself to fix BOTH problems instead of just the one that required immediate attention that we asked them to fix. Which puts my budget in shambles :bcb_down So my parents are going to help us out a bit (which I HATE having to ask for, but I will pay them back) but we have to meet them at my sisters tonight which will take at least 4 hours of the evening. When I get home I'm going to at a minimum jump on the fitness center TM for 30minutes. There's no excuse not to fit that in.

If the truck breaks again before fall I'm pushing it off a cliff.

Nikki : Have fun w/ your 8AP's. I should be back up to that number w/ you this weekend.

Barb: Yay! for pretty panties. I absolutely love buying new underwear!

Good Morning Ladies,

Barbara - I'm glad the kicks helped you. We all need them at one time or another. I know it had to feel nice having someone comment on your weight loss. You are doing a great job!!!

Nikki - WTG on going from a DDD to a C! That is wonderful. You have done so good and like I keep saying, you are such an encouragment!

BlzMaxGnrCCJkMly - I hope you get sunshine soon. It's a bit overcast here today and it's supposed to rain later. I hope it's just rain this time and no tornadoes!! Lately, Georgia has been getting hit really bad.

Christen - I hope your truck holds up.

I got up early this morning and headed to Stone Mtn and did 5 miles this morning. I hadn't did the entire 5 miles at once since last year sometime. I felt so good when I finished. I earned 6 APs.
Today I had a McD chicken biscuit for b'fast/ They're free today with the purchase of a drink and I wanted one. I'm trying not to deprive myself so I decided to work it into my menu for today. Lunch and dinner will be low in pts to compensate for the pts spent on it.

I hope everyone else is having a great OP day!

Sheila: I thought about going to get that biscuit, but it is not Core and I am still trying to do some damage control! I want to see the special powers of Core after I ate like I did over the weekend!

I really hope to lose 1.8lbs this week(and for the next two weeks)so I can make my goal of being in the 150s by June 7th. That is DS's first birthday and I want to celebrate two great things that day! I am really enjoying Core during the week. I will re-evaluate on Friday to see if I will do another week of it or not.

Shelly: I hope you get a little sunshine too! Did you get your run in the other day?

((((skinny vibes))))) to all that wi today and tomorrow!

Morning buddies! Well back from WI with a smile on my face....down 1.4 this week so I hit the 130's! 2.6 to go to get to goal and I am hoping to achieve this within 2 weeks. If I do that I will be through maintenance by my summer vacation which is my goal. We are planning on going to New England and I want lots of lobster!lol

Going to update a few goal threads and then I will be back later with personals!

TY Nikki!!! And you are an inspiration too....when I grow up I want to be able to earn AP's like you do!

As for my personal goal, I think it will be 129. I am going to shoot for that and see how I feel once I get there. Either way I will definitely be here for a long time!

In my meeting today when I got my 35lb star my leader asked me to share one reason for my success (she does this every 5lb star) Anyway, I said because I have found so many people that are WW knowledgeable and I really do believe that ...mainly this board....is the reason. Whenever I have a question, or need a boost, or need a kick-lol, I can get it here. I encouraged the rest of the people in the meetings to find a daily support system. Meetings are great, but they are once a week!

BTW, Dunkin donuts has a free iced coffee today! You can have it made with skim milk and sugar free syrup for about 2 pts.

Yummy treat and it's FREE!

I'm really struggling with Core this week. There are just so many foods that aren't core and I have a hard time feeding my family, etc w/all core foods. Yesterday I was home with DD (the 3 yr old...she has an ear infection) and ate some noncore stuff. I started to get down about it and decided instead, I'll refocus. I decided to do core with counting. That way I can have stuff...sort of like Sheila did with the chicken biscuit and not feel off plan. I know there are the extra points but, for some reason I can never totally get my arms around using those. On flex, I do but not on core. I made my soup and core slaw so I do have some yummy options to choose from right now. The good thing is, they are low in points too. I'm so tired of jumping back and forth. OH...another thing is, three friends are ready to do the Body for Life with me now. I made us all workbooks. I'd like to follow that plan AND WW so counting points will allow me to do that better.

Sheila - I was just going to ask you the other day if you had been to Stone Mt lately! :) Good for you!
Barb - I made the ff smoothie yesterday and it was delish! My 12 yr old liked it too. Actually, so did the 3 yr old. I didn't give her much though due to the fake sugar in it.
Abbie - Sounds good. Wish we had a Dunkin Donuts here. It's a college town so you'd think they would. CONGRATS on the loss!!
Nikki - WTG avoiding the noncore foods. I'm sure it's going to pay off for you!
BlzMax - If it makes you feel any better, we've had miserable weather until yesterday and I was stuck in the house with a sick child. Today, I'm at work and it's raining again! :bcb_down
Christen - I'm sorry about the truck issues. Maybe you need a new mechanic? Hopefully it will make it to fall.
Barb - :bcb_grin I chuckled at the matching panties and bras. Can't wait till I can do that.
Ellen - Hanging in there this busy week? Will you be able to get in touch with us right away in the temp housing?

Greetings to all who follow posting here today!

Say, I wasn't going to bring this up here but, we're a tell all kinda group aren't we? I have been worried about what my 14 DS was going to keep busy with all summer. I know that he envisions himself skateboarding every day in prep for the day he can become sponsored. :bcb_wink3 I'm not against skateboarding necessarily but I hate the thought of him hanging out with other teens of various ages with very little supervision. All summer would probably keep me up at night! And, the more we try to hold him back from this, the more angry and boisterous he gets. Most of his friends are allowed to go and do as they please from the time they wake up till they call and ask for a ride home!!! Anyway, he finally decided to apply for a job. I'm praying and hope that any of you prayers out there will also, pray that they accept him and that he enjoys earning some cash of his own!!! I don't think I would be able to talk him into filling out any other apps so this may be his one shot. I've been trying to talk him into working for months and now that his friend thinks it's a good idea, he's on board! Anyway...please think of us.

Hey there gang,
Well I started my day with a bang (which is unusual for me) I usual start school around 7:30 each day but today I took my DD to the gym. I earned 7 points at the gym. I haven't worked outthere for a number of years. I have been doing the DVD's but using their equipment was a great challenge. My DD asked if we could go every morning and try something different, I said "SURE!" I think that my problem has been that I didn't work out in the morning. I am not tired at all and I feel so invigorated!
Cammie - You'll have to teach me about Body For Life. I have heard of it but I am relatively new to the whole exercise/fitness stuff, remember I did Atkins to lose and only now am I exercising and doing it right. I think my DH may have the book. Is it an exercise plan? or a diet plan? or what... BTW, you will have your bra and panty day!:bcb_grin
Ellen - I have been wondering about your mom. I didn't go back and read the old May thread and I have been wanting to find out about her. How are you knees? I take Glucosamin and Chondroitin for my knees, it really works. At first I couldn't work out at all because it required me to bend my knees (OUCH!).
Sheila - Stone Mountain, it sounds beautiful. I think it's awesome that you took the time this morning to hike it. That is more motivation than I have. Our mountains are about a 1/2 hour drive and by the time I get there, I just want to eat.:bcb_blush
Shelly - I'm sorry about the rain, in Utah we can get snowed on clear til June. My Bday is June 10 and it has snowed on my Bday, I completely understand your dilemma. It's hard to live at the whim of nature, especially if you want to be outside.
Barb - GOOD FOR YOU! :bcb_bravo I think every woman should do that! You have inspired me to go shopping. I had a set when I lost before, but when I started putting the weight back on, I tossed them:bcb_grrrr. The beauty of BCB is that we have each other to spur us on. I didn't have a cheerleader and I quit trying. I am so glad that you all are there.
Abbie - Congrats on the 130's! You have earned the glory! WTG! WOOHOO! I can't wait until I am a TEENY as you are. You are an inspiration to me. I still haven't set any weight goals. I wish we had a Dunkin Donuts here in Salt Lake. We used to but they closed down a number of years ago, maybe they will come back one of these days. Drink a coffee for me.
Nikki - I hope that lemon and green tea help you today. I had a bad head ache yesterday and I hardly posted because I was sick to my stomach :ugh: from the pain. You hang in there and great job getting the bike ride in early.
Christen - I can so relate to the auto woes! I hope that your truck holds out for you. A good mechanic is so hard to find and a trust-worthy one is even more of a challenge... a LONG story. I am glad that you have a good mechanic.

Blessings to you all!

Lissa: How far are you from goal? I know you can't be that far Miss 9/10!!!! I thought about you yesterday when I went to Kohl's and tried on some Junior sizes! I can't fit the 9/10, but I can fit the size 13s!! I could probably wear the 11's but my thighs just didn't agree with them, but my waist did.(sighs). But I will get there!!! You are doing such a great job and it is always helpful to have someone on this journey with you.

Exercising early in the morning is the key for me. If I have to wait until later, I am less likely to get it done! But I have to workout this evening but I know it will get done because wi is tomorrow!!!

Okay any help figuring out pts would be appreciated....looks like I am using my WPA's this week!

Shrimp Fra Diavolo (I think thats how you spell).....Linguine about 2- 2 1/2 cups with marinara and shrimp. I looked up the recipe and it suggests cooking with olive oil, so I will assume this portion had maybe two tsps? Anyone take a guess at the total pts for this?

I also had TWO dinner rolls (about the size of a womans fist), drizzled with olive oil and garlic...gonna count these as 5 pts each?

I know it isn't like me to do this, but I will be POP for the rest of the week. And unfortunately/fortunately I wont be able to go to my meeting next week so I wont WI for two weeks. Hope this didn't do too much damage so I can still manage a 2.6lb loss over two weeks.

Thanks for any help figuring this out!

Nikki,
Thanks for thinking of me, you are such a sweetie! Miss 9-10, I like the sound of that. I am in the size that I would like to be in, however I am not at the weight that I would like to be. Being the kind of person that doesn't lose weight very easily, I am striving for a 9-10, which I can put on and zip them up now (No lying on the bed to get the zipper up) :bcb_LOL: I would like to get to 145, but my body seems to want to hover around 155-160. Some days I am back at 160, though I am mostly staying around 155. I love that Jari Love DVD that you turned me onto. I feel stronger when I work out with her, it drives my son crazy because her voice is so even. My DD gave me a pair of her jeans and they fit!!! My girls are so encouraging, but I think that they are beginning to trip because mom can almost fit into their clothes. We are planning on going to the gym again tomorrow, thanks for being such a source of inspiration to me, you really have helped me in my exercising. You are doing go great with your May miles. Unless I can overcome my shin splints, I won't be doing any running, you are a blessed woman not to have to deal with them.
Lissa: How far are you from goal? I know you can't be that far Miss 9/10!!!! I thought about you yesterday when I went to Kohl's and tried on some Junior sizes! Feeling overwhelmed...DD's recognition ceremony was today--about 800 students were personally announced, walked across the stage and were given their diploma covers by the dean. Tomorrow the diploma! We ate out all day--literally--had a nice dinner tonight with her first year roommates and their families--15 of us. Up early tomorrow--graduation starts at 8:30 and the parking is sure to be a BEAR.

Now, Missilissa, thanks so much for asking about my mom. I meant to tell you right away, but it's been wild the last two days. Tuesday, the doctor finally called to say that the ??? thing in the gastic area was an inflamed polyp--of course he had removed it last week during the endoscopy and sent it for biopsy. So THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR MANY PRAYERS AND GOOD THOUGHTS. I know God has been listening! We are so grateful! Will try to check in.

Oh, BTW, dial up at the temp location, so don't know what I'll do without you all on a regular basis bcb_sad...

Ellen,
I am so glad to hear that about your mom. I am sure you are relieved. As for tomorrow, these special days only come every once in a while. Your long term goals will still be there. Just remain focused on your goals. I have found that if I bring a good snack, I will keep lower points. I was pretty successful in Moab. It was easy to earn MANY points, everything seemed like a hard huffing, puffing, up hill climb. Hang in there and if you go over your points, remember this is your DD special day and she is worth one day of sacrifice. Again, I am go glad to hear that about your mom. Thank you for letting me know.
Blessings,
Melissa
