Good morning ladies,

I had a good night sleep, I went to bed at 10:30pm and woke up around 6:15am...that's almost 8 whole hours of sleep! :bcb_up Hey i'm trying!!!

So last night was awful. I didn't post it on my food journaling thread, but I went WAY off program last night. TOM has caused me to have a major chocolate snack attack...I had like 4 WW chocolate candies and a handful of M&M's and like 2-3 100 cal packs. NOT PRETTY!! This morning my scale was up still....up to 207.4 I think it said. No more wap's for me this week......I have to find a way to get some extra exercise in and STOP eating. I HATE TOM!!!!

Nikki and Abbie: Ask and you shall receive! The Recipe thread is up and the WW empenada recipe (as well as a few of my other favorites) posted! Enjoy!

Have a wonderful day everybody! XOXO

Morning Ladies,

Melissa - I also need to try and get 8 hours sleep. I know it's good for the body. It may even help with weight loss. Hang in there girl - YOU CAN DO IT!

How's everyone else this morning?

I'm still getting used to having to prepare ALL my meals now. I want to try and stay away from frozen dinners as much as possible. Yesterday I bought lots of fresh veggies to cook and I am going to make a pot of taco soup. I'll probably do sandwiches & salads too.

I will be getting my FIRM workout in later today as I have running around to do this morning. I hope everyone has a great OP day!

Good Morning Ladies!

Melissa: Thanks a bunch for the recipe thread. I will be adding on to it as well!

Sheila: You are doing so well!

Well, TOM hit me this morning! I almost skipped out on my 3 mile run but didn't. It was a little struggle though. I also made my 2 mile run last nigh! It was a great feeling!

I don't know if I have mentioned this or not, but I LOVE this new forum!LOL!!

Have great day ladies!

Nikki : Way to go on the run, sorry I stood you up for our virtual run date and played Wii Tennis instead. :embarrass

Melissa : :bcb_kick: for the snack attack. Just get to exercising and you'll work it right off though! I really need to work on my sleep habits...hey Nikki maybe that's something we should focus on one week after we get through all the H8's!

Sheila : Cooking at home was the hardest part of the WW transition for me but I'm getting to where I really enjoy it now....when my cat doesn't eat my lunch.

So yeah, I didn't get my run in last night and opted to take a rest day since I have Friday free to make up whatever I miss. I'll run tonight if it stops raining, do strenth training if it's still nasty. We did break out the Wii Sports for the first time and that is going to be addicting. My arm is a little sore today from all the tennis :bcb_grin

I always bring leftovers to work for lunch. The last 2 nights my cat has helped herself to them while I left them on the stove to cool. So I'm winging it for lunch today, I'll probably do a salad or something of that nature. I have 4-6pts allotted (can cut my fiber 1 snack this afternoon if I need to)

I am so hooked on this lemon thing. It's really helping w/ the no Diet Coke rule I just set for myself. I'm on my third cup of hot tea, the first of which I dumped two splenda packets in. Then for my refill I decided to try just lemon. One little wedge lighted the tea and gave it the perfect flavor :bcb_up and it's keeping me fuller than DC or water do. WOOHOO. Need to get started on my daily water though b/c I'm not drinking decaf.

Anyway I found this great little article on the wonder that is lemon :bcb_bigsm http://chennaionline.com/food/healthandnutrition/lemon.asp

Morning everyone!

Its a stormy rainy day here! Slight chance of tornados as well!

Had a job interview this morning, currently I run the behavior mod. class room in the school district I work, i interviewed today for the behavioral specialist for the district, which basically means I go from school to school dealing with the behavior problems of the special ed kids. Pay increase! plus mileage pay! Should know by the end of the week if I get the job or not!?!

Today is a running day, looks like I will need to go the gym for it if the weather doesnt clear up!

Have a good day!

Back from the gym--5 AP I think. Was running but only 9 minutes today. Knees hurt a little...:bcb_confu

Then to WI--lost the 0.4 I gained last week. Not fabulous, but at least it was DOWN. So I'm helping the Black team a tiny bit. DD has recognition day on Thursday morning, then dinner out with her roommates & parents on Thurs. eve; graduation is Friday morning, then dinner with our family on Fri eve; Sat. I'm going to a college seminar at school with DS#2, then gym, then dinner with DD's best friend and his parents...you are getting the drift--lots of dinners out and many activities that affect my routine. I'm going to make it work!

Barbara--I'm certain that weight loss has helped your game. :bcb_bravo
Christen--I'm giving the lemon thing a try this week!
Sheila--it takes time to do all the cooking but the benefit is really worth it.
Nikki--hope you're feeling up to par soon. I hated that yukky feeling on day 1. "they" say you should exercise to feel better--"they" must be men as I always felt like I wanted to throw up and exercising increased that feeling!
Melissa--practice makes perfect! More sleep is supposed to enhance weight loss. Maybe we should make it an unofficial member of the Healthy 8's--well, Healthy 9's!
Abbie--Happy Wednesday to you too!
Hi Shelly--stay out of tornado's way. I am sick of rain, rain, rain!

Ignorance is not bliss...
I have been trying to find y'all. Is this where we are posting or is it the new May goals? I emailed the info to Irene, but I am not sure where everyone is? I have been reading the posts, but I am still relatively new to all this. Is this where we are posting or encouragements? Or is it going to be updated daily? I also wanted to email the info to Irene. Please spell it out to the ignorant...:bcb_huh:
Thanks,
Melissa

Hey ladies! You guys just keep in marching on. :bcb_march I wish i could keep up. Life just isn't normal any more. Sigh! I know normal is only a setting on the dryer, but it hasn't been settled. I've dealt with other problems, but i will not let them deter me. I'm staying OP, but I've not exercised in a week. I will not let this continue, but sometimes, you just have to let the ol' bod rest.

Y'all stay OP it is the only way! :bcb_up

Melissa: Yes, this is our new forum! The entire thing is ours to post as we wish. We do a daily thread where we do our daily chatting. There is an exercise thread, a recipe thread, healthy 8's, and journaling. And anything else that people want to talk about. I'm so glad you found us! We also have our goals thread too, where we will update how we are doing on our goals weekly. :bcb_up

Hi ladies, Today was an AWFUL eating day. was starving this morning and didn't have anymore skim milk so I just left for work, HUNGRY!!! DAMN DAMN TOM!! Anyway, I got stuck in traffic so I couldn't stop at a store and had to do a drive through...so I went to Dunkin Donuts and had a 15pt breakfast sandwich, NOT GOOD and a small strawberry coolatta. Let's just say I ate almost all my days points at one meal. I was sooo pissed about it that I ate the rest of my girl scout cookies and milk for a snack and then ate only 1/2 my lunch. Then DS has a baseball game ,.... right now....I have to go back to the field now and bring him a gatorade. But of course, dinner was a bust because we had to go get something and he and I shared the toasted ravioli and quesadillas at 99. UGH!!! Tomorrow is a new day! and I WILL BE GOOD!!! :bcb_mad2 :bcb_cry: :bcb_down

Of course the first day of TOM has to be horrible!! Everything has gone wrong today!! I didn't eat totally Core today. I did eat Core breakfast, but when I came back home from running errands, it was 2:30. DD had to be at her recital rehearsal at 4 and it is 20 minutes away. Well, right before I got her ready, she broke her headband for her costume. I had a complete meltdown about it and I know TOM had something to do with that. So with nothing since breakfast, I ate a peanut butter sandwich(2 slices of lite wheat=1pt and 1tbs of peanut butter=2pts) and had some water. Even though my stress level was still through the roof and my headache felt like someone shot me in the head, I held it together for dinner. I picked up a rotisserie chicken from Kroger and came home and made some green beans and corn to go along with dinner. WHEW!!!

I am just thankful to have gotten my workout done early this morning because if I had to get it in tonight, it wouldn't be happening. I still need to do Jillian and I am really debating on that.

Cammie: I hope DD is doing better today!

Melissa: Sorry about your high pt day!:bcb_kick::bcb_kick: Let's both do better tomorrow!!!

Lissa and Irene: Glad you ladies found us today!

Shelly: Your job offer sounds great! Sounds similar or in the same ballpark as Melissa's job! Are you doing a running program? I just started back running and have been consistent for the past 4 weeks!

Nikki- take a deep breath! Your day doesn't sound as out of control as you think. So lunch wasn't "core" it was still relatively low calories.

Melissa- Stop the bad day right now....so it didn't go as planned, don't wait till tomorrow to be perfectly OP, start right now......you'll be fine!

Missilissa and Irene- glad you found us! Irene, go easy on yourself, just get back to exercising. No doubt you've been VERY busy...and I bet all that packing/unpacking burns tons of calories!

Shelly- good luck with the job!!

Barb- Congrats on the bowling!

Christen- I bet you will notice a difference weight wise with the lemon...it's a great aid! Also, try the decaf tea....I rarely drink caffinated anything anymore and I have gotten so used to it. In fact I will be having my cup of green tea shortly (or as Ellen says my boiled socks!lol) as WI is tomorrow and I want all the help I can get! Oh and as for the Wii....There are sites (sorry I don't remember them right now) that list how many calories you burn playing a lot of the games....it is a workout!

Thanks for the kicks ladies! Although the eating was bad today, I felt so awful about it that I did a 60 min power walk. I did 30 min of walk/jog intervals and then another 30 min of power walking = 7aps tonight. So hopefully that does a little damage control for my powerless day! bcb_sad Hey, what's done is done, all I can do is go to bed and do better tomorrow right? I'm tired and I'm going to bed early, so I'll try to do personals tomorrow!

Evening ladies,

Ellen - Great job on losing the weight you gained. It's down hill now for you. Keep up the good work buddy.

Nikki - WTG on surviving the day. It's so motivating to see how you didn't let your challenges throw you off course.

Melissa - Sorry your day didn't go so good but I know you'll rebound tomorrow.

I'm struggling with the urge to munch tonight!! Don't know what's causing it; maybe too much sugar today. Tomorrow I will try and lay off the sugar and see if these munchies go away.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Sheila: Just speaking from experience, it takes a couple of days to completely get rid of the sugar in your system. The first diet that I ever went on was the Atkins and I had to wait about 3 days before my body was completely cleared of the sugar, the more you avoid sugar, the more your body will grow to dislike it. I still get a tummy ache from glazed donuts. They used to be my favorite. I guess it's a blessing in disguise.
Ellen: Way To Go on your loss, you loser you! :bcb_wink3
Melissa: Thanks for the info, I was missing you guys, things sure have changed since I left for Moab...
