I figured, why keep going back and fourth. I just went to our old thread, found my May goals and then copied and pasted them in here. Since we have our daily thread, we can use our goals threads to update our goals weekly. What do you think? Hope you don't mind that I just created a new May 2008 goals here. :bcb_worry

Repost with updates from May goal thread:

1. Lose 7.6 getting to goal...this is going to be tough but I am going to give it my all. I do have 5 WI's but 2 will be TOM weeks so we will see.So far so good, I am down 3.6 with 3 WI's left for the month...however I may be up a little this week- working the exercise hard to counteract a slight gain early this week.

2. Earn a minimum of 5 AP's 5 days a week....5 for 5!
1st week I did, 2nd week was sick and didn't, but starting out the 3rd week strong again.

3. Get serious about strength training and start to tone up!
Doing a trial membership at a gym so I have done this 2 times a week for the first two weeks and will contiue through the month.

4. Read a book.....I used to love to read and probably read a minimum of six a month but I have gotten too busy to take the time. I am going to push myself to make the time! Haven't even thought about this...but now we are gearing up to go to court again so I haven't had much free time, will hopefully have some time late in the month.

5. Buy a new pair of shorts and be able to comfortably wear them out in public!
Haven't looked yet but I feel like I will be able to accomplish this!

Way to work it! Goal Getters!:salut I like it.
My May goals are:
1. Work out 5 days a week, earning 5 WAPS, I liked that; 5 for 5 (Abbie).
2. Make sure I eat breakfast daily, I still need to accomplish this.
3. Fix my bike and start riding again.
4. Be a FIRM size 9, not a flabby one. A work in progress...:bcb_happy
5. Start strength training and building muscle/losing fat.
6. Win my own Losing Battle, for life.
7. Encourage others as much as I have been encouraged by you. Never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever give up...

I had such a blast this weekend. I survived and I'll tell you why. It's okay to laugh, I was finally able to laugh when my feet were on solid ground. Here is my copy from Thread of Hope: Winning the Losing Battle:
Camping is fun, but I admit, this city girl would much rather stay in a hotel. Don't tell my kiddos... Arches National Park was gorgeous! (understatement!) I have no idea what I ate for points b/c there wasn't labels on most things. I was pretty careful and limited my granola bars to the Special K kind and drank gallons of water. The hike to Delicate Arch was 3+ hours and I became extremely tired, my DK were all wore out.
The slick rock was scary to hike on. Guess what? Much to my surprise, I am afraid of heights. I have hiked many times on the mountains that surround the Salt Lake Valley but when we got to the top of Delicate Arch, I was frozen with fear. It was such a strange feeling for me. I wasn't able to go all the way to touch the arch b/c my DH wouldn't let me. I don't like to let things get in my way, but I have NEVER experienced anything like this. If you all were to see the mountains that we live around you would probably wonder (like I did) why I got so fearful. My legs were planted where I stopped and then I accidentally dropped my water bottle and you could hear it falling and hitting each level as it dropped lower and lower... scary BUT gorgeous. I plan on going back again before the summer is over and I told my DH that we will have to keep going until Melissa gets over this ridiculous fear. He was so sweet with me, but I have never had a problem like that before and this was completely unexpected. My kids were trying to play it off like they felt the same way(they are so sweet!), but you'll see from my pictures that they were just fine. Well whodda thunk?!?
Anyways, we went hiking Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and then my hubby surprised me with an extra day there and we got home about 4 hours ago. WAPS? I have no idea, but I hope that the scale will let me know in a good way. If not, it was a wonderful weekend either way. I hopw that everyone finds their way over to this thread.

Be blessed,
Melissa:bcb_grin
