UPDATE: I THINK I USED ABOUT 25 WPA'S ALREADY. I CAN DO THIS THOUGH! I WILL SHOW MYSELF THAT I REALLY CAN PICK MYSELF BACK UP AND MAKE IT OP THIS WEEK!!!!

Good luck w/ planning dinners. Do you have access to the menus online beforehand or anything? The Flex/Core thing is working out really well for me...at least my peeks at the scale seem to indicate that and it's nice to have a little more flexability w/out *having* to dip into WPA's for them, especially when convenience becomes an issue.

Great, thanks! I'm on a modified Core plan while pregnant, so I have 3 oils and 3 low fat dairy servings a day as per my doctor. :) I'm also not counting WPA points, but am limiting them to a reasonable amount of healthy foods. I will go back to counting WPAs and the regular Core rules after the baby is born. :)

Momaste- thanks for your concern. I actually posted on the daily thread that this was not the best day for me. I typically, about 95% of the time, get all my healthy 8's in but did not today. If I am forced to choose between getting the healthies in or going over in points, unless I have earned AP's that day I will first eliminate oils, then dairy. Due to my schedule today I had to eat out twice at higher points than normal so I was not able to get those in today. But I do appreciate you checking on me...and the salad point came from dressing.:bcb_smile.

Hi Melissa - Sorry I'm just seeing your question. I get these mini bagels from WalMart. The cinnamon raisin ones are 70 cals, .5 fiber & .5 fat which = 1 pt for one bagel but 3 pts for 2. They are soooo good.

Trying to take my own advice; as WWCarol says:
So. I'd plan out 2 servings of dairy (or 3, if over 50), 2 tsp. oil, 5 servings fruits/vegetables, 6 cups of water, protein and whole grains FIRST.
That's like putting the big rocks in a jar. (Your 8 Good Health Guidelines are met for the day, no matter what.)
So that's what I did. Amazing how few points you spend when you do it this way! OK--now the trick is to stick to it for sure. Sheila, you're really helping me with your perserverence.
BTW, house getting better, but very slowly. We are finally having some bookshelves installed Monday, but if we can't get the electrician before that (and he won't return my calls :bcb_mad2), we will have to wait on the cabinet that is ready--just have to take out some tiny accent lights that previous owners had installed to show off art. Fewer boxes around, but still it looks like a pit--DS is leaving next week for London for a month, DD moving to NYC in 3 weeks forever (we'll see), so the clutter should be diminishing a little bit. Our lives are really changing this summer--weird. Maybe that's part of my WW wimpiness--up 2.4 today and mad!

Oh Ellen - I'm sorry about your gain this week but you'll get it off by next weekend. Hang in there. I'm excited for your DD. I remember how exciting it was when I moved to NYC (years ago) from Florida. It was hard leaving my parents behind but I knew I had to venture out. Some of my fondest memories are when my Mom came to visit me and we got to hang out together in the city. I'm glad the house is coming together too.
We are going to be successful this time around, I just know we are!!!

I'm only hurting myself and I love myself enough to take better care of me! My dr has told me that I need to lose weight and I am going to listen to him. I was following Flex but trying to eat mainly Core foods. For now, I keep doing that and see how it goes. I hope you're doing good.

Sheila, I am glad that you are listening to your dr. Life is just too short for us to give into our bodies. I spent so many years of my young life (25-35) being obese and too tired to play with my kiddos. It just isn't worth it. I am glad that I finally woke up. I only wish that I would have woken up soon. My DDs are 16 and 18 and I missed alot. My DS is 13 and there is time for mom to still play with them, thank the Good Lord!
